Well, I wouldn't think a longer day/night cycle would actually make this a sci-fi.
The way I see it, is that it is on another planet which is a part of your fantasy world.
Just like Game of thrones, The elder scrolls and lotr has its own settings and so you should just stick to what you would think is right.
It also makes sense that a larger planet would have a different cycle, unless that planet spins somewhat faster.

Editing is finally done. I decided to establish the setting more so than the character in the opening post, to explain why it's kinda dry and not character heavy.

I am going to try and post from outside of Jack's perspective, so that no one knows what's going on inside his head for sure at any given time.

At some point I might try to edit in the actual process of Jack getting into the cage undetected and all that while there's a monster of some unspecified source within. Try to add some tension and excitement to the post.

Not sure whether I should or focus more on moving forward, as that post was long and I need to recharge.

Yeah, I'm just going to wait until the weekend to post something, so Friday night, latest Saturday. Sunday will be pushing it.
Just want to know, is there some form of angelic police or something that keeps the other races in check?

No. Not really. Just keeps them out of the innermost areas. The division is born of where the people ended up sorting their own. The Angelics do have a peacekeeping force, but it only comes in for really serious incidents.

The situation naturally is a lot more complex then that. The Angelics do not appear to be directly responsible for the poverty and such, though they definitely don't do much to help. Any aid offered is privately funded by individuals who go out of their own way.

Things like the outer rim being extremely difficult to navigate and inconvenient if there ever has to be an evacuation, however... well let's just say that wasn't by accident.

The situation is very grey, and I will do my my best to flesh it out IC, but there's only so much I feel I can do and it still be a narrative rather than a textbook or documentary.

Okay, to clarify; human lifespan is still the same length, but days are twice as long. Are years also twice as long? Also, is it possible to have a half-caste character? I was planning on a human character, but an idea just appeared in my head as I was writing this, and I wasn't sure where you stood on it. Another thing; what exactly is the aim of the group? I understand we're heading down to make sure the world is safe to settle on, but how do we go about doing that?
I'll start work on a CC once I get a reply, and let you check through it so I can fix anything I inevitably get wrong.

Everyone is still on as far as I know. The pace of this is going to be rather slow to account for the busy schedules of many of the members. I am trying to give plenty of time for now, however if the lack of an introduction carries on too long I will begin pressing. Hard.

And yes, human lifespan is normal, and yes, years are also twice as long.

By half caste I assume you mean half one race and half another. While that is possible between many of the races, typically one bloodline will exhibit itself dominantly over the other. A human/Draconic will pretty much always be Draconic etc. Draconic/Angelic? Similarly one or the other in almost every case will overshadow the other. Only the more aesthetic traits would be shared.

The exact aim of the group I have left ambiguous because there are multiple possibilities that will be deliberated on by our characters IC if we go before the Angelic Council. We could either be a more limited type deal, like a scouting party, or (and more likely) a full on expeditionary force to try and establish a settlement. And more possibilities, I suppose, but those are the ones I thought would be the main 2.
