I would've REALLY liked more spouse interaction. I know wives comment on your home location if you have Hearthfire, but as far as I've experienced, husbands don't...? I've had adopted kids mention dad taking them hunting or fishing, but the husband never seems to acknowledge the kids are even there! Just more little extras like that.

I agree with the comments about towns catching fire during dragon attacks. When I first spoke to the jarl of Markarth and he said his town would be safe because it's difficult to attack and made mostly of stone, that made me feel more anxious for the other towns and villages that are out in the open, thinking they'd end up like Helgen. But when I actually started experiencing dragon attacks, I realized the dragons don't even put a dent in the place. Might as well be shooing away a big bird.

hello everyone :)

EXAMPLES

Its only a small hill, should be easy to get up there......so you start going up....you get stuck & you start to jump....like a frog again and again......7 jumps later tor at the top of your little hill.

Your a member of the famous Thieves guild......you job is to steal things ......you can pick any lock...but you cant climb to the first level of a balcony. only half of the climbing ability of Assassins Creed would have been great.....not talking about going full Monty.....but give me the dignity of climbing my little hill as the warrior i am and not as a frog.

For all the fighting ability this one may have....it is all useless if you try to preform the same moves whilst in mid air........you cant attack or block......and you cant shout.....or use your bow or magic. how many time this one has jumped to attack a dragon to no avail.........please give us mid air attacks!

What is Missing
above are two things that this one feels should be essential parts of the game from the start or be part of the Elder Scrolls VI...
please add your own what you think is missing from Skyrim:Dragonborn:

Ha,, good point Mid-air attacks would be a great bonus!.....But,,,, What's really missing from Skyrim ??
That's easy....."US" -> "We" -- meaning all of "US" here in the "forum clan" or "Clan forum" I should say.
If all of "US" were in Skyrim, we would weed out all the ill-will, and Evil Doers, and politicians. And mold Skyrim into The Delightfully Golden, Dark Paradise. Where anyone would want to be. :D

Errrr,,,Radia ponders that previous, rather contradictory statement - "Delightfully Golden Dark Paradise"
And has to laugh absurdly at it! o_O Lol

this one sat one day and watched a Fire breathing Dragon attacking Riverwood .......not one house burnt down ....not one tree caught fire .....and the lumber mill with all that lumber ling around is still thereo_O......Things in Skyrim don't catch fire.

Al'Tair is very right :) a lot of the things we are talking about exist in mods......the point is why need to make a mod for some basic things which should have or should be in the game.

saying that, I have no idea how many thousands of hours of programing Bethesda put into the game....truth be said they cant think of everything .....and yes it is a business after all, they had to release it one day.....BTW dose any one have Bethesda email address (direct contact).....naaa this one would not be that silly.......o_O

Yes, I second that, maybe it would do some good for you to spend some time in the Dungeon...And have someone administer justice with the Frilly whip . Or ,no you might enjoy that..lol

Had to think about this one for a bit, as I've kind of taught myself to ignore all the things missing from PS3 Skyrim. Here's what I came up with, though:

More Bosmer followers, and tougher ones. A few that aren't archers would be nice too. At least one female and one male Bosmer that was marriageable would be nice, too. The same goes for Khajiit, though atleast the follower part is mostly covered.

Bosmer, Khajiit and Argonian adoptable children would be nice as well. I understand that if Bethesda had added an option to have kids of other races it may have been a bit to close to The Sims, so fine. But you're telling me there isn't one non-Nord kid throughout all of Skyrim? Come on now. I mean I wouldn't even mind if Bethesda added a quest to get them. Idk, it's just not realistic to me.

The ability to hear your character speak or at the very least, have them make facial expressions. It is so irritating having to RP my characters thoughts and deeds AND their facial expressions. For that matter, they should have the ability for followers to make facial expressions as well. Maybe something similar to Dragon Age. It should not have been that hard a thing to add if Dragon Age: Inquisition can do it on the PS3.

The ability to have a boat on the water and steer it. A fishing mini-game would've been nice too, instead of having your character dive into the water and catch the fish with their bare hands. That always seemed a bit odd to me. After all, they have the ability for you to hunt in Skyrim, so why not fishing in a boat?

The ability to make anywhere your home and still take your wife/hubby, kids, etc with you. As long as you cleared the place out of all dangers, I don't see the problem. And not only that, but to add things into wherever you go, similar to a Hearthfire house. That would be awesome.

That's all I can think of. And yeah I know that most of these things are available via mods, but I think they should have been included on the console version for those of us without access to mods. So. :)

Not to mention how when you have two daggers/swords equipped only one of them shows in your belt and the other one magically appears in your hand out of thin air. That shouldn't annoy me so much, but it does. I mean, we can cook, chop firewood and sit on chairs, but when we have two weapons equipped they only show one of them? It's almost as if Bethesda didn't really think anyone would use two weapons at the same time, or third-person view. You're right, we shouldn't have to make mods for things that should be already in the game, it's really immersion-breaking. And I'm a really picky, annoying person when it comes to immersion. That's not to say I love Skyrim any less, but when you have this kind of thing it really takes you out of the mood for RPing...

I didn't realize I needed boats until you mentioned them. It's funny how there are a lot of boat carcasses on riverbanks, but not actual, functioning boats. I agree with the facial expression/voice thing, Dragon Age, Mass Effect and Saints Row can make that work, why not Skyrim? I feel like my character is mute or something; it's so ridiculous South Park: The Stick Of Truth makes fun of it (remember? "He doesn't talk, Elf King. Thinks he's cool pl*ps or something" Pretty much how I feel, yeah.

One other thing: I wish I were able to see my character traveling on the wagons. It's not really necessary or anything, but it would be really cool to see it. Kind of like Red Dead Redemption, you know? Still make it skippable, though ("hurry up" for a few more gold coins.)

I agree with you on the wagon thing. I'd love to be able to see my character travel on one and also to hear what the carriage driver has to say. Poor guy always ends up being cut off by the loading screen before he can finish. :/
And yeah I never understood why my character has to be the strong and silent type. It's cool at first but eventually it just gets weird. :D
When I first bought Skyrim I remember thinking that the boats actually worked. It's weird to me that they don't - why put them there then? I guess maybe a roleplay thing or for the modders to play around with. That's all I can think of, otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

As much as I would enjoy immersion, I think if it were improved upon it should be toggleable. A lot of fun would go out of the game for me if I died in a cave from a burst kidney.
Skyrim would become a very empty place if things could burn down...

Diseases I agree with you about. Make them more dangerous, but have them develop in stages similar to Vampirism. E.g Its annoying enough when your maximum health is reduced by 25 just because some pathetic Vampire fledgling got you, especially if theres a powerful Master Vampire somewhere in your near future...

And TOILETS! When I buy a 16+ (later turned 18+) game, I expect violence, gore, strong language and the odd sexual reference, but poop animations!
I agree, a lot of these things should be toggleable. Some people don't really take immersion that seriously, but others do. There should be an option for all kinds of players, really.

I know right, it bothers me a lot that Bethesda took the time to record the wagon driver's lines but then just ended up cutting him off with the loading screen every single time in the final product. And it's not like they recorded his lines but ended up not using them; they actually put them in the game. I may be a weird person, but I actually want to hear what he's saying. It's not like they didn't realize he was getting cut off too, because they didn't fix that with the DLCs. It's strange, because his dialogue only starts once you climb on the wagon, so you can't even wait for him to talk before traveling. It gets pretty annoying, TBH.

what if Legendary was not a difficulty setting......what if it was NOT a setting......max difficulty, test your self, go nuts & insane?

what if Legendary was a set of options specifically for hard core role playing where you are at a point to control your own destiny in the game, the option to make your own story!
The option to customize all skills, ability, quests, factions ext......before you start the game, toggle options for survival......unlocks all the above things we talked about, that way there is a vanilla version for everyone to play.....and Legendary for all the sickos.

This is actually pretty brilliant. Skyrim really should have a "hardcore" option for all the players who take RPing and immersion really seriously. I realize it would take Bethesda a lot of time and work, but I'd rather have a delayed, but extremely detailed game rather than a "released-on-time" but lacking a lot of stuff one.

There should be more lessons for skills. A couple of blacksmiths teach you smithing, one woman gives you archery lessons (I don't even know where I found her) and Tollfdir gives you a brief session in ward magic. Why can't Faendal give us a little hunting quest to practice archery skills, or just give us a brief speech about improving at archery, instead of just saying "I'll show you what I know" and giving us a level up. The mage college should provide demonstrations for all spells, and give us targets to cast them on, or sparring sessions with the students and instructors. Mini quests or just unique speeches would make it feel more like my character is being tutored instead of just using a convenient gaming mechanic.

And why is the ability to invent magic staffs so rare? Do mages really go to the sewer underneath the mage college to obtain a magic staff? Why is Neloth the only one who gets a staff enchanter? The facility to create staffs should be available in the college, some court mage's quarters, and hagraven lairs. And it kind of sucks we can't create our own scrolls when there are useless bits of paper lying around.

I've said it before, but this is something I would really like. Just as you can mark/unmark favorite items, allow a sellable/unsellable switch as well. I don't know how many times i have found myself inadvertently selling my Legendary Dragon bone bow (or similar) and then not having the coin to buy it back!

The mapping system just sucks. Why not have an option to color the places you've discovered so that you might know if you've cleared the place, or just walked by, or went in, or anything. And how about being able to draw in an actual road or trail? I don't play on a pc so can't grab the UESPWiki map. So i have a bazillion white icons with massive cloud cover....
