that name is familiar to me....I think I may have rescued him during a Companions quest

Kalin of High Rock

Faal Lun Vahdin
He's the only argonian follower, I believe? I've never been sent to the cave on any of The Companions quests, but they're somewhat random. I know I didn't happen on Derkeethus until very very late in my game. Level 70ish.

But he really has become an indispensable asset to me. Part best friend, part pack-mule, part lunch. I really like his quiet, positive attitude.

 spoiler!

T. Rakinson

A Brute among Beasts
Neloth (he was badass in that Dwemer city). His dialogue would be hilarious, and his boastful talk in combat actually encourages me.

Some of those unimportant vampires at Castle Volkihar. They never do anything. In fact, add Orthjolf and Vingalmo to that list. Their varying combat styles and Vampirism would make for interesting followers.

GELEBROR. He just STANDS there next to his dead brother, waiting for the player to return and ask for his Super sun arrows. A Snow Elf follower... how cool would that be!

In terms of non-DLC ppl; TG members, Your buddy who you escaped Helgen with, and maybe Fjola from Mistwatch.

Babette. The whole child vampire thing would be an awesome compliment to any assassin character. :)
The Bosmer archer dude in the Thieves Guild. Bosmer are rare enough in Skyrim, let alone Bosmer followers. Not to mention he's an awesome archer and would make a great follower.
Karliah. I can just see her making various comments about Nocturnal as you travel and fight side by side with her.
And maybe Brynjolf. Him being busy all the damn time is starting to bug me. Better he be put to some useful purpose. :/

Just another fanatical gamer
Isran, from the very first time I played Dawnguard, I liked his character. He's a wrecking machine when it comes down to the undead.

Dagmar

Defender of the Bunnies of Skyrim
I, for one, nominate Barbas as a follower. I think it would be cool to have a talking dog with an attitude and great accent.
You can have Barbas as a follower indefinitely if you just don't fulfill his quest. You can dismiss him and recruit him at any time at Haemer's Shame.

Ulfberth War-bear (whuff!) and all the housecarls and court mages.

Valdr should be available as a follower as well.

Yeah, I quite like Valdr. Having a hunter follower (other than Faendal, the ear of the Thalmor) would be cool. I even based a character off of him.

Yeah, the Call of Valor shout was pretty underwhelming.

ZeroDragon

Bring me my broadsword, and clear understanding.
Nazeem just to take him into the middle of a giant's camp and see him fly out.

Yeah, I'd like Nazeem as a follower too. If he was a follower it would permanently end all debate about who is the best person to sacrifice to Boethiah.
