    Name: Argus Draok
    Age:25
    Sex:Male
    Race: Drell
Appearance: Argus is fairly tall, being 5'10". He is muscular, though it is not extremely noticeable. He is thin, though not undernourished. His face is a deeper blue, with some black near the back of his head and lower jaw. His eyes are a dark green, almost black.

(Note. Argus' skin is a couple shades darker than the one in the pictures.)

Armour: Argus wears light armour plates underneath a dark trenchcoat, (like the one Thane wore).

Weapons: Argus uses the M-13 Raptor sniper rifle. He prefers the faster rate of fire to the greater damage output offered by rifles like the Mantis or Widow. For a side arm, Argus uses the M-12 Locust. He prefers the weapon because of its greater accuracy than most submachine guns. In addition, he's honed his close combat skills, and is able to overcome most opponents in hand to hand combat.

Biotics (if applicable): Argus is adept at biotics, though he prefers to use his weapons rather than biotics, unless he is in close combat.

Personality: Argus appears distant and cold, but in reality, he cares deeply for those around him, and will go out of his way to prevent even people he doesn't know from coming to harm.

Likes: Seclusion, peace, succesfully completing a mission
Dislikes:Chaos, collateral damage, causing unnecessary pain.

    Position: Intelligence Officer

Bio:Born on the Hanar homeworld of Kahje, Argus Draosk was, like all Drell, subject to the terms of the compact. He was chosen to be part of the Hanars small but efficient military force. Since few Hanar were actually capable of using weaponry. He was also intrigued by the story of Thane Krios, who had become somewhat of a legend among younger Drell. Many had heard of his adventures alongside the famed commander Shepard, fighting the Collectors.

For most of his life, Argus fought against threats to Hanar interests, and became rather independent when sent on long missions awa from Kahje. When the Reaper war broke out, Argus returned to fight the synthetic-organic creatures. He disliked the savagery of war, though he was an efficient fighter.

When the peace was finally declared, Argus left Kahje, hoping to follow in Thanes' footsteps. He hoped to help those that were preyed on by remaining reaper forces and stop those that sought to profit off of the devastated survivors of the war. When staying on the citadel he hears of a investigative team being put together to head into the Terminus systems.

Armour: Nalah wears a full set of Serrice council armour, painted a pale blue, with grey highlights. She prefers not to wear a helmet, despite increased vulnerability to headshots.

Also, how do you guys feel about starting up sooner rather than later? And then we pick up people for positions as CC's are posted? That way everyone else isn't stuck waiting on the Citadel.

Sounds good to me. I can always come up with a secondary character for the pilot if you'd like.

That sounds good. Then I can get the IC up sooner than later. Any one have any objections to the ships name being SSV Vancouver?

    Name: Cin'Norah
    Age:27
    Sex:Male
    Race:Quarian

Appearance: Cin'Norah is a small, lightly muscled Quarian male. Though the quarians have retaken their homeworld, Rannoch, Cin'Norah still wears his suit. Because of this, no one really knows wht he looks like under his suit.

Armour: Cin'Norah wears a bronze colored enviro suit, with a dark mask covering his face. The suit only provided limited protection in any kind of combat, so he has to be very cautious when he is forced into combat.

Weapons: An arc pistol, though he rarely has any occasion to use the weapon.

    Biotics (if applicable): N/A

Personality: Cin'Norah is a kind, caring individual. He's willing to make friends with those he meets. He takes his duties onboard the ship very seriously, but when off duty, is happy to indulge in idle conversation.

Likes: Engineering discussions, piloting ships ( the faster the better),
    Dislikes: Racists, solitude.

    Position: Pilot

Bio: Cin'Norah was, like most Quarians born on the migrant fleet. He was an only child, known to be be fairly outgoing and sociable. In his late teens, when went on his pilgrimage, visiting the Turian colony of Invictus. After this, he went to join the engineering division of the migrant fleet, and he also became a very capable pilot.

He was against the quarian offensive to retake Rannoch. He'd heard of the emergence of the Reapers, and believed that a better course was to join the rest of the galaxy in fighting them. As the Quarians engaged the Geth in their war, Cin'Norah was forced into a combat role, repairing hull breaches, and occasionally piloting vessels. After the war, and the reclamation of Rannoch, Cin' Norah assisted with setting up housing for the Quarian people. Five years later, he's heard of trouble in the Terminus systems, and a team being assembled by the council. He leaves the homeworld, interested in offering his services.

Okay. I'll try to get the IC up this afternoon/tonight sometime. I know we're still missing a couple of people, but like I said, we can always have some ME2 recruitment style missions if anyone else puts up CCs.

Also, just started another playthrough of ME2. Female-custom-Shepard, Sentinel, playing on Hardcore.....I've gotten to Garrus' recruitment mission, to the part where you need to close the shutters downstairs? Oh my god, it's fluffing ridiculous. I use an ability on the Vorcha, or shoot them, and, because I have a nasty habit of not watching my ammo on SMGs' I have to reload a lot. By the time I've reloaded, the Vorcha who I had down to one shot of life, is fully regened, and then him and his Krogan buddies kill Zaeed and blast Shep. Into small pieces...doesn't help I'm using quite possible the most useless SMG in the game. And you have to get through armour first...

I'll have to try that Shaded. Sounds like quit a challenge. Especially since the shurikan hits with all the force of a squirt gun.

I also would like to join this and I could be the engineer, but I'd prefer to be the pilot. I have a rather unique pilot idea that really can't fill the engineer role. Drell's quarian on the other hand can fit the engineering role with minimal effort and he hasn't posted for either character yet.

    Face Name: Nessus
    Soul Name Sails-The-Stars-With-The-Enkindlers
    Age: 25
    Sex: Male
    Race: Hanar

    Appearance:
    th

A light purple body with eight long, muscular tentacles. Normal hanar have six but two extra tentacles were surgically grafted onto Nessus in order to improve combat performance. The extra tentacles are clones of his back tentacles and have been seamlessly integrated with the rest of his body.
    Armour:

    th

This is a special hardsuit worn by Nessus when he must leave a ship in a hostile environment. Nessus' body is fully sealed and the metal claws on his tentacles serve to focus his biotics and strengthen his grip. They can also be used to shred an enemy to bloody bits. The suit also has black ballistic fiber "tentacle sleeves" to fully protect him against damage and exposure.

Weapons: Two M9 Tempest SMG's and two M6 Carnifex heavy pistols. Plus omni-tool born tech attacks including incinerate, overload, cryo blast and sabotage. Nessus' own tentacles can be used to restrain or even strangle an enemy, while their natural toxins can be secreted to weaken and confuse enemies if skin to skin contact is achieved. Nessus' toxins have been altered to effect all council races.

    Biotics (if applicable): None

    Personality:

Positive Traits: Kind, friendly, always wishes to learn, very polite like all hanar, extremely intelligent, can perform certain tasks better than any bipedal organic such as swimming or typing. Having what is essentially eight hands helps.

Negative Traits: Nosy, socially awkward, has difficulty getting to the point due to meandering speech, tends to overwork himself, hasn't experienced serious failures or setbacks yet.

Likes: Water, bathing, swimming, hats, mindfish, cooking, learning new cultures, shooting guns, meeting new people, watching the reactions on people's faces when they see a hanar fire a gun, Blasto movies.

Dislikes: Dry climates, ignorance, people he perceives as slow or dull witted, rude behavior, racism, anyone who speaks ill of the Protheans, Blasto himself.

    Position: Pilot

    Bio:

Nessus was born on Khaje twenty years before the Reaper War. He was born in a clutch of over 100 hanar and grew up in an underwater city beneath Khaje's vast oceans. His father was an ambassador to the drell and often went to a small coastal city on a nearby island to see them. He took Nessus along so he could learn from and be exposed to the humanoid race that did so much for the hanar and learn Nessus did. The drell taught him of the stars and of space travel, something many hanar aren't interested in, and of the constellations in the night sky. At first this confused Nessus since Khaje is always covered by clouds so to enlighten him the drell took him on his first ride into orbit at the age of 9. When their ship pierced the could cover and Nessus first stared up at the night sky, the black void of space, he was convinced that he was looking into another world. A world nothing like the ocean he was born in but just as wonderful, just as full of life and surprise and filled with opportunity for an adventurous little jellyfish like himself. When they reached orbit and he saw the sun and stars in the black void he was awestruck. He was immersed in this new and wonderful realm and he never wanted to leave. Since that day he wanted nothing more than to explore the universe and see everything it had to offer.

All hanar learn of the Protheans, the Enkindlers, in school and their stories of how they ruled the galaxy only emboldened Nessus on his quest to travel the stars. He seemed willing to do anything to realize his dream. When he learned about the Mass Relays and the Citadel in school he read everything he could about them. When he was old enough to understand that the universe was made up of stars and planets he studied every star chart and astronomy book he could find. When he realized that mathmatics was the universal language of the universe he threw himself into equations and formulas. He received excellent marks in school and used role models such as Thane Krios, Blasto and of course Commander Shepard to do his very best for his people and more importantly himself. In what could be considered hanar university he studied math, space geography and mass effect theory. It seemed he would become a ship's navigator or engineer until one day that changed his life.

The Reaper War finally found Khaje and the Reapers invaded with crushing force. Like giant terrifying steel crustaceans they came. Like giant crabs the Reaper destroyers laid waste to everything they saw, reducing entire islands to ash and cinders. Like all-consuming demons the sovereign class Reapers dove into Kahje's oceans and destroyed the hanar cities. Reefs and marine habitats were incinerated, cities were destroyed with only the lights of terrified luminescent cries for help. Entire oceans boiled at the Reapers touch and the hanar and drell forces sent against them were powerless to stop them. All able-bodied drell were drafted but they weren't enough to stop the ever-advancing waves of husks, marauders and the twisted drell-hanar shredders. Indoctrinated drell and hanar fused together into mindless killing machines.

    th

Khaje had a desperate need for pilots and Nessus volunteered, seeing his chance to finally do what he always wanted, even if it wasn't the way he wanted it. As soon as he stepped into a simulator it felt right. He was able to dodge asteroids that crushed the other students' imaginary ships and evade imaginary enemy fighters minutes longer than anyone else. His simulation ended with incorrectly approaching a mass relay and flying into a sun but it proved beyond any doubt that he was a pilot. He was immediately pressed into service after graduation and assigned to a frigate as part of a task force to guard the Crucible as it was being built. Nessus' first taste of combat was during the liberation of Earth but it was more than enough. His ship was shot down in the first wave and crash landed on Earth. Nessus and the remaining crew found themselves in a struggle for their lives as husks swarmed the area. He was using all four of his guns, one in each arm, to hold back the waves and augmenting it with tech attacks but it wasn't enough. He was forced to fight and became so enraged that he glowed with a deep red color and shredded the husks to bits with his hardsuit's claws, using his augmented speed and reflexes to turn himself into an 8 bladed food processor. Nessus feared he was the only one to survive but survive he did. When Shepard sacrificed himself to destroy the Reapers and the Catalyst Nessus fell flat on the ground with exhaustion and praised the Enkindlers by name before passing out.

Nessus recovered and found out that there were other survivors from his ship. The Enkindlers had saved them as well as he and this restored his hope. He has since done all he can to help rebuild the galaxy and the lives of its inhabitants in the following years. He was assigned to fly a new frigate and has done so with honor and distinction. Now, just as things have gotten back to normal, there have been reports of uprisings in the Terminus Systems and Nessus has been called for a special mission.

Well...I don't really have grounds for an objection, besides having my quarian thrust into the same role as Tali is throughout ME 1-3. I'm curious how Nessus would be able to fight and wear armour. Thane mentions that Hanar don't use weapons, besides their grip and natural toxins, nor can they move quickly out of water.

    Simus

    An Excellent Site Member
That's where the cybernetics come in. Nessus' body has been strengthened to where his body can be is as strong as those of other races. His cybernetics were experimental and rushed and many hanar died, as I said in my CC. I'm going into the realm of jelly science here but ther hanar were able to figure out a way to strengthen their bodies in a hurry. This is always dangerous but it gets results. Plus the way Blasto can dual wield carnifexes at Shepard without any cybernetics goes some way to supporting my idea.

As for how Nessus can move quickly I had intended for him to be a biotic and be able to teleport and "swim" through the air buy when I tried to reconcile that with his role as a pilot things got messy fast, so I cut out the biotics. I could say he has an advanced mass effect field generator that lets him move much faster than normal hanar but this may not be a problem. Joker's got hollow legs and can't move fast at all yet he was able to save the ship from the Collectors and give Shepard covering fire at the end of ME2. Just something to consider.

So I started another run through of Mass effect on hardcore. Just finished Zaaeds loyalty mission. Goddamn I hate pyro troopers. Most annoying damned guys ever. Their worse than shotgunners cause by the time you stop freaking out from being on fire they just blast you again. Now it's time for Kasumi's mission. This one is usually fun though.

Yeah, pyros are terrible. What class are you playing as?

    Andre Marek

You can run, but you'll only die tired...
Playing as a soldier of course. I like having access to all the weapons as well as armor piercing and disruptor ammo. However when I run out of ammo in my Mattock, which happens often, it's kind of plopsty not having any biotics to help me out. Means I have to rely on my squad members for all that space magic.
