So I just spent the evening wandering around the area between Dawnstar and Winterhold looking for a Snowy Sabre Cat pelt so I can finish my house.

I found six Snow Bears, the last two of which chased me into Winterhold where they killed Ranmir and Birna as well as my hopes of Birna selling one. And why did you not just resurrect Birna with the console, I hear you ask? Because a Master Vampire attacked directly after and turned her into an ash pile.

When I was travelling with my dog and warrior follower and archer one, encounterd a mamoth and the giants saw us all three of them which was not good. So it turned out to be a 4 on 4 fight and a mamoth joined them so there was 4 there in the fight and I was level 10 at the time. It was a tough fight, as the giants were firerce and one did grab and throw me to the wall managed to avoid it in time and he kicked me but dog bit him so went after him. I thought it was a long fight when it was not, as I had to watch what was going on and a troll joined the fight he just attacked who ever and manged to slay them soon.

Not strictly creature but as Hired Thugs were mentioned earlier:

Yesterday, a group of them attacked me at the College. They were slaughtered by the mages present (now why can't the guards WHO ARE PAID TO DEAL WITH THIS STUFF do that?). After looking around in gratitude at Mirabelle Ervine, Arniel Gane and Enthir (who had done the brunt of the killing) I checked to see who had hired these guys. It was Arniel Gane! Don't ask me why he changed his mind...

I posted this on my thread about followers but it was just the most hilarious five minutes of gaming:

Serana, Vald and I had just finished collecting Dawnbreaker from Meridia's Shrine. I walked up the path towards the Word wall and standing before me was a riderless horse. As I approached I noticed something was off about this horse.

Even though it was making all it's normal horsey noises it was far from "normal". The thing was frozen in time, petrified, a statue. It had it's mouth wide open in what I can only describe as a look of utter confoundment at it's predicament. Either that or the horse petrified itself after figuring out something. Something profound.

Anyway it was seriously weird so I just fus'd it a little....and got a 40gold bounty added to me. I left the creepy horse and continued on. Further up the path and a bunny comes hopping towards me. "Aww.. look at the bwunny!" I think. And then it runs right into me and I stumble. Huh.. no-one pushes me! Not even a cute fluffball. Take this..."FUS!"

It's all I wanted to do..teach it a lesson so it never pushes me around again. But then I hear the slide of metal and spells being readied and I am like.. "no..no..no NO NO NOOOO!!!"

Bunny is hit by both Serana and Valds spells. Bunny goes flying off into the distance with an Ice Spike through it. Never to be seen again. *Sigh*

Serana, time to go home methinks.

I swear, my son and I nearly died of laughter. It was so wrong but so damned funny.

Oh mercy me, where to begin?

I think one of my most memorable scenarios involved my imperial assassin. Looking fresh in her shiny new shrouded armour, Min had just finished up her contract to kill betild in dawnstar. The hit went off without a hitch, and after enjoying a couple celebratory bottles of mead over the foreman's quickly cooling body, my girl set off to return to Falkreath to tell Nazir the good news.

About half a mile from town I could spot some quickly increasing figures on the horizon. It was the middle of the night and as dark as Alduins bony butt so it wasn't until they were about 10 feet away that I recognised the Khajit merchants.

And the three wolves.

The caravan bodyguard (I forget their name) was holding sir own, but the rest of the group had made an executive decision to leg it. Feeling oddly charitable, Min lent her daggers to the fight. Which would have been fine if a dragon hadn't chosen to attack.

So Min is now caught between knifing wolves and pinging off arrows at the monster in the sky...which was circling that giants camp nearby. I could hear the dragon land and I shot off an arrow at what I thought was the dragon.

Turns out mammoths are similar shapes in the middle of the night. So it's now Min and the caravan bodyguard versus a dragon and a very peeved giant and its mammoths.

AND THEN ANOTHER FREAKING DRAGON CAME ALONG.

I swear, at that point I just gave up, put the game on pause and went to make myself a cup of tea. That night was worse than when I made the mistake of fast travelling to the rift, only for myself and jenassa to get jumped by a pair of dragons almost immediately. Jenassa didn't survive the encounter unfortunately, but she didn't die in vain. I've never made the mistake of travelling without saving again.

Tl;dr: freaking dragons man.

So there is a small isle out in the middle of the ocean...somewhere north of Winterhold, that has a crapload of wolves and a snow bear living on it. Normally you get three wolves at the most.. nope.. five wolves, oh and did I mention the Snow Bear? All attacking at once.

Another wolf encounter and this time only two..but I had forgotten to re-arm myself and produced only my khajiit fists. So I punched it. Apparently I don't know my own strength as I punched the wolf half into the rock.

Fighting Reavers at the wreck of the Strident Squall and I conjure my trusty Dremora. Whom I have affectionately named Stewart. Stewart proclaims the Reaver Lord is no match for him. He was so valiant. But the Reaver Lord had evidently mastered the way of magic and zapped my poor Stewart who went flying over the palisade, even as he faded back to Oblivion.
I avenged you Stewart...I avenged you.

I haven't been playing for long, but I did have an "well, of course" moment a couple days ago.
After handing over my belongings in exchange for party clothes for the Thalmor Embassy soiree, I was attacked by a dragon before I could jump on the wagon headed to the party!
My spiffy duds were not comparable to my armor, and my hands alone have not yet be registered as weapons in Skyrim. That opportunist dragon took full advantage.

I don't believe in all the time I've played, that I've ever been attacked by two dragons at once, with the exception of the Forgotten Vale, of course. Well done. :beermug:

You must not travel to Dawnstar very often. Happens to me multiple times per playthrough there. In fact I've been jumped by two dragons AND a vampire hit squad multiple times there.

Hmmmm... I fast travel often, including Dawnstar. Even with the seemingly inordinate number of dragons attacking lately, I still have yet to encounter two or more. When it finally happens, I'll be sure to celebrate. :beermug:

Surprised by that. There is a dragon that roosts just west of Dawnstar that will aggro whenever you get a random to spawn by fast travel. I've even had two spawn in Markarth. Yes, Markarth. Couldn't believe it myself. That was one of the best battles I've ever had in Skyrim. Running to high ground in Markarth while fighting dragons, guards running around like madmen, going ethereal to jump on top of a downed dragon from a high spire... good times in Markarth for sure.

SO I just got completely freaked the f***f out.

I was walking to Dragon Bridge, from Solitude and came upon a female Mercenary. Our conversation was interrupted by the inevitable dragon attack. It blasted us then flew off over the mountain. I thought it had lost interest so I continued on my way, but then the music starts again and the dragon lands in front of me. I take a few steps back and gasp in horror. Not because of the dragon before me but from it's appearance. It had NO SCALES and NO EYES! It was freaky! Like a giant winged blind lizard...thing. It flew off a couple of times but always came to land back in front of me. Eventually I killed it and as it fell to the ground it suddenly grew all its scales back as it burst into flames.

As I stood there processing that, I noticed that the mercenary had died. aww... here, let me loot your body.

Then three Thalmor walked past.. er..nothing to see here. Nooo... I didn't kill this dragon and swallow it's soul. It was like this when I found it.

Then I turn to watch the Thalmor leave and there are half a dozen Stormcloak soldiers just standing there, staring at me.

err....

come Lydia, we're leaving!

Odd indeed. I've been experiencing texture glitches lately, where the ground becomes sort of 'smooth,' for lack of a better word. Sometimes it'll happen to whatever item is shown during a loading screen. Other times, the color of weapons and armor becomes darker by a couple shades, and remain that way until I reload.

I will mention this, while I'm here: I was finally involved in a multiple dragon attack. Fortunately they weren't tough; one was labeled simply 'dragon' and the other had a name which I don't remember. Can't wait til I get the two or three revered or legendary dragons that some of you've had. :beermug:

I had a big glitch in the same play through. On Solstheim and I was walking along the coast and near this small ship(the abandoned one that the sailors go to the stone monument) and a big chunk of the sea was just gone. A perfect square scraped away. I could see the bottom of the ocean. It was pretty cool.

I had the same thing happen around the Dainty Sload once. Looked like it just floated in the air. Everything was back to normal the next time I went there though.

It started with half a dozen frostbite spiders, progressed to a small coven of vampires, then a family of bears and a sabrecat, then some bandits, and to top it all off... a dragon! I died, like, ten times trying to get through the orgy before I smartened up and said NOPE and just went the other way.

In my last Let's Play, I went to Autumnwatch Tower to get the Marked for Death shout. Little did I know, the mods I'm using spawn about 2394835089 of these draugr/skeleton things in that area. I got trapped up at the top of the tower for awhile before finally making it out... only to be attacked by a sabrecat, and then have the dragon land right on top of me and somehow fling me a mile to my death. Then I had the brilliant idea of using an invisibility potion to get past the 2394835089 draugr/skeleton things. There was no sabrecat, no dragon, I was in the clear... and then a spriggan and a bear attacked me. I was so freaking frustrated by that whole debacle that I haven't played that game since then.
