I think the quickest way to die in Helgen is to just stand outside and get hit by meteors....
NEW RP IDEA!
Unless your game glitched and Alduin turns up too late.

Yeah, the fastest way to die is to just sit and get killed by glitches. One time Alduin's sprite didn't show up, so I didn't know where to run, but i started taking heavy damage and died quickly.

I can't remember exactly, but I think it was when I was jumping from that tower into the building in Helgen. I miss timed the jump and kind of just toppled out of the window. Yes, I defenestrated myself.

I've done that once or twice in the opening quest. It wasn't my proudest moment, but I don't think I died from it.

It was my very first play through. I didn't know about levels and so it was on the default level (adept or expert..something like that) and I also caught fire..so burning and falling and on level 1 with high difficulty didn't do my poor khajiit much good. :)

I can't remember if I died in Helgen, but the first death I remember was to Anise.

I had been to Riverwood and killed the chicken and the cow, but it was nighttime, so no one was around to slaughter me. So, I made my way across the river to Anise's Cabin, and picked the lock to get into her cellar. I then had to reload quite a few times until I finally managed to kill her before she destroyed me with her spells.
After that I returned to Riverwood - and got slaughtered by angry townsfolk. :D

Mis-clicked in Riverwood, took a sword or something instead of talking to shop keeper, things quickly went downhill and the whole town decided I needed to die. Still get in trouble from time to time with friendly fire or picking up something by mistake.

First real death was probably to a frost troll or saber cat or such going over a pass while at a low level.

I did get 100-0 kill-cammed (while blocking) by a 2H bandit leader after having cleared a fort with no problems, though after experiencing glitches with ranged kill cams (char goes into kill cam and does nothing) and finding the 100-0 RNG of kill cams that ignore stuff like block totally bullplops, modded my game to disable all kill cams.

My precious
Well....my first time was a dragon...in helgen. I was trying to get a good look at alduin flying around killing people and stood in one spot when he breathes fire on me.

Skyrim was my first game of its type so, just for starters, I had no real feel for movement and tended to run into walls and spin in circles. Second, all of the on-screen help was off: I had absolutely no idea where I was supposed to go and it took me several hours to stumble into the tower. Once there it took probably an hour to get to the top of thec stairs and try jumping out. I landed in the ruined house and stood there trying to understand what to do next, and buned to death!

Since I had never saved, I went all the way back to the wagon journey and was not feeling too happy about this game. Luckily I made it a bit further next time; just enough to persevere, and finally turn on the directional information.

Upon discovering Whiterun, I saw some people fighting a giant. I decided to help, but accidentally attacked one of these people. Turns out they were the Companions, who made quick work of me.

Bandits killed me after I took a wrong turn on the way to Riverwood. I couldn't find them to attack them, oddly enough.

I don't remember for sure but I think it's a good guess that my first death was from the draugr boss in Bleak Falls Barrow. I fought that thing like 20 times, dying every time, before I just gave up and left the barrow, thinking, screw that trader and his claw, this ain't worth it. Of course I found out later that it was necessary to kill that draugr to advance the main story line, and returned after much grumbling on my part. To my surprise, when I returned, I killed it on my first try. It wasn't exactly easy, but I did it. I had leveled up a fair bit in the interim, and gotten a better sword. But man I hated that draugr.

I'm kind of surprised how many people got killed by giants their first time. I remember the first time I saw a giant, I wouldn't go anywhere near it. I was still vulnerable to wolves; I certainly wasn't going to test a giant without being sure they weren't hostile lol. I'm the cautious type. The first giant I saw was actually on my way out of Bleak Falls Barrow after I had given up fighting that draugr boss. I was trying to get back to Riverwood, but got lost as it was nighttime and I wasn't familiar with the lay of the land yet, so I just went in a general northward direction and I ended up passing by Secunda's Kiss near Whiterun. That was the first time I laid eyes on a giant. Wasn't sure what to make of it, whether it would be friendly or hostile, so I just sneaked on past and went on my way. I didn't try fighting a giant until quite a while later when I had to kill one for a bounty.
