Werewolf or Werebear. Who would you rather be?

Here are some questions, if you would care to answer;

1. Which DLC is best for werewolves? Dawnguard (perk tree) or Dragonborn (unique rings)?
2. What is the longest period of time you have spent as a werewolf (through feeding)?
3. Which ring do you like most (two Rings of Hircine and Dragonborn rings)? Which do you think makes you strongest?
4. Best Howl?
5. What is the toughest enemy you have killed in Beast form?
6. Would you have liked the chance to side with the Silver hand, rather than continue the Companions questline (AKA alternate questline)?

7. (personal question) Iv'e been thinking of RPing a 'feral' Werewolf, by wearing the cursed ring of Hircine. When you wear it, how frequent are the transformations?

1. In my opinion, I would say that they both have their ups and downs. Although Dawnguard gives you useful perks, it's not focused on werewolves, therefore the perks are not as good as I believe they could be. The same can be said for the rings in Dragonborn.
2. I would say about 30 mins. IRl. I got bored after that and returned to normal and reloaded my old save.
3. For me, in most cases as a werewolf, I am reckless and lose a good amount of health. Therefore, I have to go with the Ring Of The Hunt
4. I never really use beast howls, therefore, no comment.
5. The toughest would be one of the Dragon-Priest. I don't really go into beast form against enemies I don't stand a chance against. Never really get the chance to.
6. As I have no strong affection for the Companions Guild, I probably would enjoy this. You are not the only one to think of this, but I also realize that it would probably go faster such as going against the Dark Brotherhood. There just aren't really any companions that strike me as spectacular to fight against.
7. I have just kept the cursed ring for myself. It did make the game interesting to say the least. I always had to stay away from civilization unless I was doing some quick shopping because I didn't want to risk it. It has also activated after I took it from him, but that has only happened once. I also know for sure that it is about a 10% chance per minute, and sometimes the RNG can be really bad at it.

Well everyone here probably knows by now my love of being a werewolf and my hatred for Vampires. My favourite ring is the Ring of the Hunt (health regenerates), and here is why...
Become a werewolf, get the Ring of the Hunt. Get all three Dragon aspect words. put on the ring. Use your dragon aspect shout then turn into a werewolf. You are now an unstoppable killing machine. You don't need to feed for health to regen, you look awesome and all orange-glowy from your dragon aspect armour, which gives you extra power and protection. If your health does drop low then your ancestral Dragonborn will appear to defend you.

And that's why I love being a Werewolf. Oh that and the fact that I never turn into a stinking Vampire.

As for your questions:

  1. Get both, the Dawnguard perks (particularly the very first one 4/4 for full bonus) are good, and the rings provide useful bonuses to the character.
  2. cannot remember, but I usually wait to return to normal
  3. have not gotten rings, but overall, I think the best/one I would stick with most of the time is the uncursed ring of Hircine. I mean, come on, multiple transformations a day? that sounds awesome.
  4. howl of terror is a great defensive tool, as you normally do not have any armor.
  5. unsure, mostly kill bandits for food.
  6. actually, yes. I would make sense for a Nord who does not want the blood to want to purge it. IF it was integrated into the storyline well (like if the companions were split into the Circle and the Silver Hand and you had a choice of who to join when you get to that part).
  7. I do not know.

Overall, I do not like using the beast unless needed, so voted neither.

I become a werewolf just to squash any chance of becoming a vampire. Rarely use the actual power however.

Wearbear seems way cooler so I voted for that.

I recognise you, you're the old bat living up in the Jerall mountains! Tell me, with the inhospitable environment and all, have you finally mastered the art of drawing blood from the stones?:D

Werecrocodile. I just really want to see one. I guess they show up on the online version or something?
In a game with Evil Spriggans, Sea elves and Dremora Novelists it seems all but likely. I picture them being similar to Daedroth...
*try's to scratch ear with foot* .....this one has fleas
And thats before you go from cat to dog!;)

Too long. I had to 'wait' like a week or two to get out of the damn thing. That savage feeding perk... Though I will admit, getting to Eastmarch from Markarth was pretty quick when running as a werewolf.

I ran from Silent moons camp to Northwatch keep, all the way back to Shors Stone in Riften. Definatly Savage feeding.
