    General Information:

Irish for "wild" according to Google Translate. Hopefully it can be trusted. This RP is going to be set in a world of my own creation, not in TES and not related to TES. I like my RPs gritty and dark, and of course with no small amount of high fantasy, so if you have concerns over this not being TES I would ask that you please at least give it a fair chance.

The premise of this RP will be that you guys are a group assigned to lead the colonization of one of the most dangerous world's ever. Fiáin is wild and untamed, and any joke you would make about Australia is applicable here.

Of course, from there there is nearly infinite RP potential. I do not exaggerate when I say I could probably make a string of RPs that would last from now until these forums die.

    Rules:

This will be an 18+ RP.

Standard RP rules apply. No godmodding, no meta gaming.

    Respect your fellow RPers.

I expect skilled writers, and I encourage active use of the edit button to fix mistakes and errors.

I am also completely open to any ideas you may have, and encourage them. While I have my own stories to take you through, I don't mind in the least of anyone would like to impact the story and the world in their own way, even come up with new stories to pursue.

    Activity/Pace:

I am incredibly persistent, and I will not allow this RP to die under no circumstance save my own death or otherwise incabaility to continue. If temporary problems assail me, I will find my way back as soon as I am able. I am extremely lenient when it comes to the pacing of posting, as long as you are active and not hindering the story I can wait up to a month (sonetimes longer) unless the other RP members complain about your slowness. However, once you become a hindrance to the story, or fail to report to too many roll calls, I have absolutely no campunctions with removing you immediately from the RP by any means necessary so that it may continue. I will handle your characters with respect, of course, but do not think for a second I will not have them sited by holy lightning from the sky should the story have need to continue. I expect this to be slow paced, and have little issues.

Most importantly, if you see I make a mistake or that there is an inconsistency or plot hole, TELL ME. I can only improve it if you inform me about such things, and I am hungry to make this world as perfect as it can be.

    General Setting Information:

Now... the world. I could go on about it all day, and give you all quite an intimidating text wall- quite possibly the mother of all text walls. As I am aware not everyone has the endurance to suffer through all that reading, I will attempt to condense it, and can answer any questions you have regarding specifics.

For starters, there are few limitations on RP potential. Creatures and species from any fantasy could be present here, but I would ask that you please try to keep it from breaking copyright in case I ever decide to write a book including anything that happens in the RP. I could change the name of the character or race to fit the story if I put it to writing, if you absolutely feel you must indulge yourself, however.

There will be humans, dwarves, elves, and all of those standard fantasy races. Some races of my own creation are Draconics, Angelics, Demonics, and Shadoxen. These four are currently the four power houses on this planet, and have acclimated to survive it in some way. The technology levels in this world are fairly limited, swords and magic and such, but there are some steam punk elements and higher levels of tech scattered about in there too.

The Draconics, smallest in number, but once mature are your top tier powerhouses. In terms of sheer power, they are unmatched in their upper eschalons. They are dragons- only bigger, badder, faster, stronger, and better in just about every way than a normal dragon. These are quite literally the pinnacle of what it means to be a dragon. They have acclimated to the world by becoming a part of the food chain, and are very near the top. They are generally very straightforward, and their culture is very violent in general. They value strength.

The Angelics are- what else? What you would consider angels. They are a combination of the traditional lore of elves and dwarves. Elegant and technologically/magically advanced. These are some of the most magically powerful beings in the world at their upper eschalons. Their high intelligence has allowed them to achieve technological breakthroughs to help them make up for their weaknesses and cope with a world that is so deadly. They have acclimated to the world by using their magic to make a great, impregnable fortress fly. From their flying fortress, they frequently try to make progress in bending the planet below them to their will, to colonize it, but have thus far failed. As time goes on, they become more and more desperate. They value community greatly.

The Demonics aren't so simple as calling them demons. They are extremely varied, and are all about the individual. They are free spirits, and come in all shapes and sizes. They have acclimated to the world by becoming a part of it in some way, whether that be a part of nature or a part of the food chain. They greatly value their individual freedom.

The Shadoxen are a mystery. They appear as humanoids, only pitch black in coloration. They are as living shadows, and almost nothing is known about them other than not much is known about them. It is not a stretch to say they are the go to mercenaries and assassins for the entire world. It is not known how they acclimated to the world, or even where their homeland is located. Their language is also a jealously guarded secret. They seem to value their own and whatever is used to pay them.

Not only are these races important to the world and the story, but also important for you, as you have the option to play as one. Of course you will have to start as a weaker one and progress, but that's more or less how everyone is going to start. It's going to be a long road, and who knows what you all may become by the end of it.

Now, don't think you're going to start out as a dragon or a living shadow, you will begin very much human, and as you progress become more and more like whatever your race is. However, be warned, this comes at a cost.

    Player Start:

You will begun in the great flying fortress city of the Angelics, and we will see where you go from there. I have SO much information to share, but hopefully I covered the basics well enough. I will add information to this when I have more time, and am more than happy to answer any questions. Regarding the unique races, I can go in depth into all of the information you will need to know to play as one, it's just a lot to type so I didn't manage to get it in this one go.

I GIVE COMPLETE FREEDOM OF CREATIVITY, as long as it stays within the rules and I and your peers judge it reasonable. I'm going to be Tracker Jack, and I'm going to be your tour guide through one of the most dangerous fantasy world's ever. I can barely wait ;) My CC will be up soon.

    Skills/Attributes
He's extremely tough and extremely deadly. He's a virtual master of killing, be it in melee or range, cloak and dagger or head on. Skilled with alchemy and an expert survivor in the wilderness. He will be your guide in this world, and thus is extremely well rounded and powerful.

Don't trust him when it comes to diplomacy and such, he is terrible at riding, and has absolutely zero capabilities with utilizing magic. Lockpicking and thieving aren't his thing, as he's far too direct for that.

History (Early, Early Teens, Late Teens, Adulthood)

All you need to know is that he has an infamous reputation as a sellsword and is renowned as one of the few to successfully traverse the wilderness and return in alive or at least in one piece. His pay-grade brings him into dealing with some of the most powerful and influential beings on the planet.

    The Story:

I prefer to keep it as open ended as I can so as to not limit creativity. For whatever reason, you are going to take a job to more or less be a pioneer on this world (I will give more information on the world later). You should expect anything from a smaller party of scouts to a full on caravan escort.

Your characters will rendezvous with Tracker Jack where additional details and plot developments which I would rather not spoil take place. From that point, your characters' actions and decisions will determine the amount of resources afforded to us for the journey, as well as the number of people who decide to join us.

This quest will be sponsored by the Angelics, who wish for the normal races to acquire a foothold on the ground in order to open the way for future colonization. This is because their flying city cannot stay airborne forever, and they NEED to become established on the ground or they will be destroyed.

Why they don't simply do this themselves? That ties into one critical aspect of the world. Monsters are drawn to power like sharks to blood. The Angelics are generally too powerful to set foot on the ground for long periods without attracting disaster. This is why they favor using the weaker among them, as though they are weaker they will also attract less danger and hardship.

We will be the vanguard. The Angelics took in the weaker races, saved them so to speak. However it may or may not be evident to your character that they are looking out for number one. They value community... their OWN community. The general attitude is that of tolerance and mutual benefit, nothing more. The weaker races call the outskirts of the flying city home, where anything that gets through the defences will first be slowed down by the weaker races.

This is not necessarily their choice, but it's simply the only place available to live. This makes the situation more dire, as the city becomes crowded and resources spread more thinly.

Do not hesitate to ask any questions you feel you need to ask.

    The Draconics:

    General Information:

The most physically powerful and sturdy race, they are fiercely prideful and violent. With the fierce pride and violence comes an almost completely unyielding stubbornness, and a fierce intolerance for belief and doctrine contradictory to their own. As such, they are a rather solitary race, preferring to deal primarily with their own (they possess a very strong distrust of the other 3 of these custom races), and even then seldom on friendly terms. They are few in number, but have secured an immovable place in the world's food chain, comfortably near the top. They tend to be very direct about things, and being a apart of the food chain, they have good reason to be. Many would most likely seem more driven by instinct than intelligence, leading to a common assumption of them as mere beasts; powerful beasts, but beasts none the less.

Despite being generally close minded and fiercely mistrustful of the other 3 custom races, they actually regard the normal races (humans and such) with a degree of neutrality. They tolerate them, as why should they care for ants which don't even make proper meals? However, it goes without saying that insults and beliefs they deem too contradictory to their own will generally result in being flattened.

They value strength and family above all else.

    As a Player Character:

    General Dispositions:

As the General Information section said, they are mistrustful and generally very irritable when it comes to dealing with other cultures.

They absolutely HATE the Angelics, though this wasn't always the case. The Angelics have their own explanations, but the Draconics stick to their own with their side of things. Thus far, however, they have kept their distance from each other.

They generally despise the Demonics, who's free spirited nature's generally come into conflict with Draconic culture. This often results in highly destructive conflicts.

They possess a mere distaste for Shadoxen.

They are neutral but highly skeptical when it comes to the normal races.

    Hierarchy:

While generally solitary, they have one ruler, one king. Under him are all of the various clans, each with a tribal based hierarchy under said king. The king is, naturally, the most powerful Draconic, and of the most powerful forces on the planet.

    Culture:

As a culture, of course, they value strength. Something that may be less well known is their value in family.

The strength and violence manifests itself in a strong "Might makes Right" mentality in general. This is why their King and leaders under him are (with almost no exception) the strongest among them. Their value in family manifests itself with the clan system under the king, which allows for strong family ties as well as mantaining their mostly solitary preferences.

They view themselves as the absolute strongest, and as such their beliefs are set down to their very core. However, they are also a very contradictory culture, as facing a more powerful opponent they would generally bare themselves with what they felt was great courage, and would go down fighting tooth and claw until they are either killed, or die of fatigue. Whichever comes first. Their beliefs as a culture are so deeply etched, that even a king who rose to power would find his hands full if he deviated too much.

Their strength, and pride lend itself naturally to arrogance, and even vanity. Like many dragons, they value beauty. This translates itself into cases of treasure hoarding. And yet, it is so much more than simple greed. They truly value beauty, whether it's some valuable pile of gold, or something as simple as a unique plant growing in a field. Even art, as they generally decorate themselves with all manor of art, and many a Draconic can be found covered nearly head to toe with art.

I should mention that their fierce family values and attitudes, coupled with their low population, means that they are very intolerant of homosexuals. They simply do not comprehend a relationship which does not produce children or pragmatically further the dominance of their species. They also view it as a highly dangerous factor, and feel threatened by it considering their very small number.

    Homeland/Building/Architecture:

Don't make me laugh! They don't do buildings or architecture, unless it's some grand art project, and their home is quite literally wherever they roam.

    Strengths, Weaknesses, and Physical Characteristics:

Obviously they are physically powerful, extremely sturdy, hardy, durable, and strong. Most of their prowess is in the more direct forms of confrontation, anything involving melee. They are not particularly gifted in magic, to say the least, and you definitely won't see one as a ranged fighter (well, you may, but it's EXTREMELY rare). Their ranged attacks usually amount to their elemental attacks, such as breathing fire and the like.

Their handicaps come in with their general attitudes. Headstrong, and usually not the most bright, they can be quite reckless. They are in general also weaker in fields of magic and range. Asking one to sneak would be like asking a boulder to grow legs and walk (though anything is possible). As a race, they are also very few in number, and have few allies.

They have wings, of course, and are generally capable of flight. Their eyes also tend to go slit pupiled, like a reptile's. Take my words for it as well when I say you don't want to be bitten by one (their teeth are sharp). They have extremely keen natural senses. Powerful vision, powerful olfactory senses. Their hearing isn't much special. Their scales hinder their sense of touch, though aside from that it is normal. Their sense of taste is a matter of debate, as they are known to eat anything that they perceive as edible, and have the toughness and hardiness to stomach practically anything. WARNING: they can hold their liquor very well.

    Technology Level:

You had better be kidding me here. The younger and less developed ones may use weapons, the mature ones ARE weapons.

    As a Player Character:

You will be balanced to fit the power level of the RP, and will almost certainly start out rather human, only reflecting the traits of a Draconic through that form. As you become more and more powerful, you will become more and more Draconic, eventually becoming a full fledged Draconic if that's your wish (but it will come at a cost).

As always, if you have any questions or need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask!

    The Angelics:

The name of their flying city is Caesceum.

    General Information:
The most technologically and magically advanced race, they combine the advanced technology and ingenuity of the dwarves with the elegance, magic, and physical stature of the elves. They carry themselves with grace, and their cities and constructs usually seem to embody some of that grace. They also tend to have wings and are capable of flight.

They use their intellect and magical power in order to survive the harshness off this world, creating powerful measures of both offence and defence to supplement their own natural abilities. They have elected to stick together, in order to make the most efficient use of their numbers, and have formed a community in a flying fortress city, choosing to take to the skies when the surface proved to be too much for them to gain a proper foothold.

They have taken in the more normal races, such as the humans, the elves, the dwarves, and so on, so that they may survive past their infancy, and prove useful to them. The scattered remnants of these "normal" races would not have prospered to the same degree without this intervention, but whether it was out of goodness of heart or a calculated action without emotional attachment is debatable.

Being one of the only races to be known to have established proper civilization, they value community above all else.

    As a Player Character:

    General Dispositions:

You will start with a more positive relationship and disposition with the Angelics. Relation with other races generally suffers. They are the direct opposite of the free spirited nature of the Demonics, the Draconics hate them, and the Shadoxen are neutral. Humans and elves and dwarves and such vary. The more cynical dislike them, the more hopeful view them as saviors. Some even worship the upper eschalons as deities.

    Hierarchy:

The Angelics rule via rough monarchy. They have a King and Queen with a great deal of power, with a council that is more or less equal to them. The King and Queen each possess IMMENSE power in their own right, and are on basically deitic levels. This is a double edged sword, as though powerful, they can only exercise so much of that power without attracting hordes of creatures from all around likes sharks after blood.

The council is a group of powerful entities which act as advisors, as well as a general system of checks and balances to keep the King and Queen in check.

    Culture:

As a people, they of course value intelligence and community. This translates into then functioning very much as a unit, with a strong "for the greater good" mentality. They tend to lead with logic over emotion in most of the aspects of their lives, the sake of the community over the sake of the individual. They are also a very contained people in general, more subtle in their ways and not so direct. They generally have strong control over their emotions due to the need to function cohesively and with as little friction as possible. Their way of life reflects this down to the very core, as this is how they have survived.

    Homeland/Buildings/Architecture

Their living quarters are spartan, and their fortress built purely for practicality. Every inch of it is designed for one purpose: defence to the last man. Their buildings and architecture somewhat reflect their gracefulness as a people, however they are big, strong, durable, and sturdy where the people are not. The building materials are magical in nature, appearing as white stone pulsing with the many different colors of magic, appearing as if the city is interwoven with veins with magic as the blood. The city gets taller as one moves nearer the center, each building acting as firing position which would not hinder the position behind it. The center is dominated by a massive superfortress which absolutely dwarfs any other construct in the city. Surrounding the entire fortress-city are two giant rings, one vertical and one horizontal. These massive rings are absolutely armed to the teeth with weapons of all sorts, and serve as the first and most powerful line of defence. They project a magical shield around the city, and aid in controlling the city's movements.

    Strengths, Weaknesses, and Physical Characteristics

Obviously very intelligent and magically gifted, the Angelics are naturals at anything involving technology or wizardry and such. To compound upon these strengths, many of them have functional wings, making them capable of flight.

As far as their weaknesses go, without their technology they are generally rather fragile, being magically and intellectually refined rather than physically. They are definitely not the most sturdy of races, and it is uncommon for them to overtake others in physical regards.

They are generally delicate and elegant, not so much physically imposing as graceful. They are NOT, however, necessarily particularly tall.

    Technology Level:

Basically these are what the Dwemer were for Tamriel. The Angelics are EXTREMELY advanced, and jealously guard their technology. They have the equivalent to magic based firearms and cannons of widely varying degrees. They have made a city fly, and developed something akin to a force field as a nigh impenetrable line of defence. Their weapons and armor are of absolutely top notch, pretty much the best you will find ANYWHERE. Their flying city is about the only form of Civilization that is currently alive in this world. Their capacity for technology is limited by a degree of reason, a degree of what the plot demands, and imagination. If you would like any specifics, please ask.

    PC Start:

A few important details for beginning as an Angelic. How powerful you begin depends on the power level of the RP. However, no matter the established power level, you WILL be made on par with the rest of the party; there will be no great power deficits. If the rest of the group elects to go with a more mundane start, you will basically begin as an undeveloped Angelic. Ergo: rather young, basically a human with great innate natural talent and intelligence in regards to the basic characteristics that make up the race. As the story progresses, you will develop more and more as an Angelic. You may not even have fully functional wings at the start, but they will definitely come later.

As always, any questions, please ask. I had to write this down off of memory, so it is very likely that I missed something and will have to return later to add more details.

    The Demonics:

    General Information:

The Demonics aren't necessarily demons as you'd expect them to be (though they can hey pretty dang violent and scary). They are free spirits, and it is very difficult to find any two who are alike (on a whole other level compared to the norm). They are generally your tricksters, pranksters, and energetic sorts. They are wild, and body the idea of being untamed that the world conveys. Needless to say, they are by far one of the most colorful and varied races on the planet, even capable of shapeshifting in their antics. They have adapted to the world similar to the Draconics, only seem to be much more prosperous and successful. There are a lot of them, each one fitting into the world almost seamlessly. They are arguably one of the most well off races courtesy of that fact. They do not try to bend the world around them to their will or alter it, they accept and acclimate to it accordingly. They respect and value their own freedom and so respect and value the freedom of others.

    They value freedom and individuality.

    As a Player Character:

    General Dispositions:

They are almost complete opposites to the Angelics, and typically don't get along well. They at least make the attempt to refrain from violence, however.

They are neutral with the Shadoxen.

They clash with Draconics almost any time they encounter each other. Their free spirited nature and such leads them to contrast the Draconic Culture in more ways than the Draconics are willing to tolerate (however that is not to say the Demonics don't do their fair share of antagonizing as well). It is a longstanding rivalry with no end in sight.

They tend to enjoy messing with the normal races more than anything else. They are typically just as likely to hinder as to help such beings, and while they have dealt with normal races in a positive manner, they have also lead many a poor soul to an untimely death.

    Hierarchy:

They have an Alpha and his mate. Aside from that, they value their independence too much to really have a regulated hierarchy, and usually only regulate en masse under the Alpha when they need to.

    Culture:

As a culture they value freedom and individuality. They are considered as wild and untameable as the world itself.

Their values lead them not only to not only be widely accepting, but also highly varied. They have no defined form, often times it is straight up impossible to identify something as a Demonic unless they choose to inform you about it. They are generally outgoing, almost always energetic, and usually enjoy a good joke or prank (no matter how dangerous or even deadly). They are typically very worry free, even to the point of being adrenaline junkies. Their outlook on things ensures that what seems like a heinous crime to others usually amounts to a minor prank to them.

Aside from those characteristics, the culture of Demonics is extremely difficult to identify. They live WITH the world around them, rather than trying to bend it to their own wills, so are typically found in harmony with nature. They are generally open minded and eager to try new things. Their nature also leads other races to view them as rather obscene at times.

    Homeland/Building/Architecture:

Their home is wherever they roam, typically found coexisting with nature.

    Strengths, Weaknesses, and Physical Characteristics:

As a race, they are extremely difficult to define here. They are just too varied, and there is one for almost every color and every emotion. Generally Jacks of all Trades, they typically specialize in anything that strikes their fancy. They are a very versatile race. This functions as both their strength and their weakness, and their physical characteristics are just impossible to classify as a race.

    Technology Level:

Standard levels, though they don't really work on developing any on their own. Most ideas are simply taken from others, more or less copied, and then adapted to their needs. They generally live in tandem with nature, so they aren't vastly reliant on tech.

    As a PC:

Other than being scaled to the power level of the RP, of there is any race to let your imagination go wild with, it is this one. There are no defined characteristics, and they have limited shapeshifting abilities even at lower levels of power. They might not even appear to RESEMBLE being human, or maybe they might.

As always, if you have any questions, please ask!

    The Shadoxen:

    General Information:

The short of it is that if someone needs an elite assassin or mercenary, they go to the Shadoxen. There really isn't a lot of information about them, them being one of the most mysterious forces on the planet. The weaker ones blend in as humans, while the more powerful ones are rarely ever seen at all, being effectively living shadows. Their society, from what can be gathered of it, seems to function as a large guild. They protect their own, and are neutral in almost all other matters. Other than their own, they value their guild's code and payment for a job done.

    As a Player Character:

    General Dispositions:

Needless to say, they are on neutral terms with everyone, except for the Draconics. Their loyalties are to their own and to their paycheck.

    Hierarchy:

Their hierarchy is almost completely unknown, though since they seem to operate with some sort of guild based system, there is likely a guild master of some sort.

    Culture:

Obviously, very little is known. Their culture involves a lot of dealings with other cultures, so they can typically speak a very many languages. They keep their own language a close and jealously guarded secret, more so than most other aspects of their race. They typically show their "true" unshapeshifted, unaltered, and unshadow covered selves to no one save their own. They prefer darker places, and tend to avoid light. They will do almost anything save that they are paid to do it and it does not violate their code (which usually revolves around protecting their own). It is also unclear what one would accept as a payment, as each one seems to have a different taste and preference in what they will accept.

They make for some of the most feared assassins in the world, and they are more than a little responsible for mantaining general stability.

They value their kind, their code, and their payment.

    Homeland/Building/Architecture:

Absolutely nothing is known. It is unclear whether their homeland is even on the same plain of existence.

    Strengths, Weaknesses, and Physical Characteristics:

They are naturally light, agile, dexterous, and stealthy. They have a sharp and quick mind to compliment their equally quick reflexes and movements. Most aren't very durable. However, hitting one can be much easier said than done, as they are extremely difficult to detect, extremely flexible (literally as well as strategically), very fast, and possess a great degree of control over shadows and darkness in general. This ranges from being able to dissipate and reappear elsewhere and becoming intangible to extinguishing light sources and generally invoking fear. They are masters of the dark, and it is nigh impossible to defeat a powerful one in their own element.

Strong in darkness, they are weaker in light. Light weakens them all across the board, and so they avoid it like the plague.

They have sharp hearing and the ability to see through any darkness. They typically take a form of living shadow, but they can also appear human (younger ones take a great deal of time to develop their powers, and appear as ordinary save for the characteristics that come naturally to a member of their race).

    Technology Level:

Completely unknown, though they have been known to use higher grades of technology, it is unclear whether it is of their own invention or of the Angelics, or some combination thereof.

    As a Player Character:

Naturally, you will have to start around the same level of power as everyone else, and all the awesome powers described above will come as your character develops in the RP. They send their young out into the world to prove themselves and grow more powerful before they are initiated into their inner fold and allowed to know all of the great secrets of their race.

As always, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    The world of Fiáin:

    History:

This world was created by a rather large pantheon of extremely powerful, worshiped, deitic beings. Only, most of them were similar to obsessive mad scientists. They constantly warped, changed, added things, took things away, and would let the world run its course for awhile only to wipe the slate completely clean and start again. This eventually culminated in the world becoming an absolute breeding ground for extremely fast natural selection. Eventually, when these beings snapped their fingers to wipe the slate clean, the world didn't respond. This in turn led to them attempting to deal with matters personally in a massive and bloody war, which the inhabitants of the world won.

    Present:

Magic absolutely permeates the air, accelerating the already hyper-accelerated evolution. Almost everything on this planet is adapted to be harmful and to kill in some way, and most organisms can evolve characteristics even faster by devouring others and assimilating their powers and characteristics. This leads to an interesting philosophy with nature, in that stronger organisms tend to ignore weaker ones in favor of growing more powerful more quickly. Of course, there are exceptions and such to this rule, but it applies in most cases. The Ocean, however, is by far the most dangerous part of the planet.

It is also worth noting that the night is exponentially more dangerous than the day.

    Geography:

This world is VERY big. HUGE. I mean as in it's a much bigger planet than Earth big. This, in tandem with how extremely dangerous it is, means that it has never been explored. The planet is split right down the middle where one giant ocean meets one giant super continent. There are, of course, other bodies of water, but the world is mostly an even split. The only explored area so far as of the events of this RP is an area along the coast where we are pinned one one side by ENORMOUS mountains, forming a bowl all the way back to the ocean with few passes (these passes naturally being extremely difficult to get to and traverse). The ocean is nigh intraversible, being exponentially more dangerous than land, and the mountains so large as to be extremely difficult to deal with (to say the least). This area is roughly the size of a large continent, and gets more than ample amounts of storms and rainfall (to an extreme level closer to the coast). It is generally very green, and very wild, almost no indications of Civilization as far as the eye can see. There are a few large deserts and a few large areas that are barren, though these are usually due to Volcanoes or non natural means. It is a very common sight to see impossibly huge creatures fighting in the distance, framed by an impossibly huge range of mountains on one side and an impossibly huge ocean on the other.

    Size and Space:

The day and night cycle is longer than that of Earth. This means that, while there is more daylight, the night time is also longer. The same applies for seasons. There are multiple moons, though it is rare to see more than one in the sky at a time. Regarding adverse effects of higher gravity (due to the planets larger size), they are more or less counteracted by the planet's unique core and makeup, allowing it to support life without the life being effected by the greater levels of gravity. (I could give any myriad of reasons I could come up with, but I'd prefer to keep it simple). However, while gravity won't be crushing anyone under extreme levels, it will still draw in a large degree of objects from space, making meteors/asteroids quite common.

    Bestiary/Nature:

It goes without saying that this is virtually without limit. Pretty much anything could fit into this setting.

    Pantheons/Religions:

The more powerful Draconics are often worshipped as deities.

The more powerful Angelics are often worshipped as deities.

The more powerful Demonics are often worshipped as deities.

The Shadoxen are not typically worshipped as deities, though they are held in awe and fear.

These races themselves don't really worship deities, but there is a similar relationship in the strong sometimes granting favor to the weak. They killed their gods, and it is rare for one to accept a new pantheon.

There is a monotheistic religion that is currently gaining a near cult following among the normal races (the premises and beliefs of which are similar to our monotheistic religions in reality).

Nymphs in this world, typically with their enchanting beauty and love of nature, are often viewed as goddesses of nature, possessing a great deal of power through the beasts that often fall under their sway, as well as in their own right.

The higher class monsters (unbelievably huge behemoths among monsters) are typically revered as deities to small pockets of weaker races that have adopted a nomadic type of lifestyle living and surviving in their shadows.

It is also widely believed that there is a god of the ocean.

Then, of course, you get all of the culturally unique Pantheons of the normal races. Though these have stiff competition, they have managed to survive. The humans have their human gods, the elves their elf gods, the dwarves their Dwarven gods, etc.

    Monster Classification System:

With monsters that are ever changing and ever growing more powerful, it can be very difficult to classify them as a species often times. So, most have adopted a simplified system for classification that focuses on the level of evolution and power that the creature is on. It is ranked in ascending order as follows:

    Normal Class
    Dire Class
    Evolved Class
    Greater Class
    Giant Class
    Ascended Class
    Super Class
    Ultimate Class
    Deity Class
    Titan Class

Alternately, one may refer to these classes simply as 1 through 10.

This, along with much of the other information, is likely incomplete or could be improved. If you have any questions or need any additional information, please ask.

The CC is up. For simplicity's sake we can use either the real life system of months or Skyrim's, just with more days per month. The same goes for the number of days. We will also use a 24 hour clock (making military time a 48 hour clock) not for any specific scientific accuracy, but for convenience.

If you want any of the names of any religions or religious figures, or want ideas on a birthplace, just ask. If you need or want to know ANYTHING, just ask.

I feel I should emphasize that I give you guys almost complete creative freedom, and that I left Tracker Jack's power ambiguous so that we could set that later.

    Skills/Attributes
A master swordsman, although he wouldn't handle himself with any other weapons than maybe daggers. A very fast runner with incredible stamina, never runs out of breath. Very wise and well traveled(?). A little less stronger than he should be, low endurance, small knowledge of magic and alchemy but nothing drastic. Fluent in angelic, able to speak and decipher bits in demonic and draconic, he knows next to nothing in shadoxen.

    History

Rurik was born in Caesceum and spent most of his early life there. His father died when he was 6 and he was sent to an orphanage(?). As a child and teen, he was very violent, always getting himself in trouble. He was natural with the sword, at 17 he joined mercenary bands(?) and did plenty of contracts in both the flying city(?) and on land(?).

When he was 26 he was injured badly and ended up with a heart condition. During that period he became less and less active and violent, becoming more quiet and taking a liking to reading. He became a scholar, learning about the cultures and languages of the world. Eventually he got active again, learning to live with his condition, he became a traveler(?) and started exploring Fáin, but he doesn't have as much physical knowledge of it as he would care to admit. He decided to join Tracker Jack's squad to travel with a company and to continue exploring.

    ++

There's obviously more to it than that, but he will share more details and events in the actual roleplay. The (?) things mean that the thing is unclear to me, so if you would take care of some of them that would be great.

I have no preference. We can do it here since people might be wondering the same stuff I am.
