I heard of it, has massive potential. If/when they manage to sync players, quests, items, monsters etc etc the mod will basically still be like playing offline. I'm not knocking their progress though, so please remember that.

I watch their progress a lot though...even if the website seems to have been neglected of updates for a while. Least, that's how it was when I checked. lol

Yeah if they put the time in this could potentially be the best skyrim mods but I jope they have dungeons

I thought they had stopped working on that. I hope I was wrong. I'd love it, if they do release it.

Are they really continuing this? I thought it was dead.
On an unrelated note, I just read somebodies "Member since" and thought it was the thread date, deleted my other post..

There have been several mods like this, they have all since been discontinued.

There was a massive wave of mods like this when a video surfaced on youtube a couple years ago that seemed to show a guy playing with his friend in a co-op mode, they started in whiterun and both got on horses and rode to Brittleshin Pass and fought through it together. Gopher featured it in a video, and people tried to find the mod, or recreate it. It turned out the video was fake and everyone who tried to make it work ran into incredible technical problems. The way scripts work in Skyrim makes something like this impossible. In theory, you could remove as many of the scripted events as you possibly could and just run around killing wolves and stuff, but it would still break at some point.

Aw. It's a shame that someone faked it and then tricked everyone else into trying to get the same (non-existent) results. A real multiplayer mod would be incredible for Skyrim, but it's a fine game without multiplayer. It's not like we've had any other options for the main games after all. :p

I would have loved a controllable multiplayer Skyrim, that being one where my friends and I can play together, but not necessary with half a million other people. That being said, I'd be happy if someone could even figure out a way to have two characters on the same account, so we could share player home and equipment.

I'd love a mod that allows for multiplayer Skyrim, but they did the same thing with Oblivion several years ago and the same issues kept cropping up that cause all versions of the mod to be discontinued. Not only is it a huge strain on the computers involved (because of the way the game handles loading of game cells) but you practically have to keep everything in sync together. If one player ran off to loot something in Solitude, and another player is in Whiterun, the game itself can only recognize one player at a time (the host), yet still reads the actions of the second player, overloading the game and causing it to crash.
