I do turn it up when I am leveled up and am able to fight the enemies who will prove challenging and have more tactics to them than when playing at a lower level. Sometimes I like to see myself being challenged, and see how I go when fighting foes who are more mighty and take more skill to bring down and amazed at how long I can last. I usually level up when my character is ready to move up, and can cope with the changes and also can defeat the lower enemies with ease than I am ready to go up.
