DON'T EXPECT SPOILER WARNINGS FROM ME
JUst admit it,. that amount of times u have played a wood elf U CAN COUNT ON YER FINGERS. Aragonians as well, tough its playable more often than w.e.
I have played only once as a wood elf, i tried to be an archer, but i gave up after 5th lvl cuz their look is so unfitting for any class, that i have descided to make a nord female archer (inspirasion is Ashe The Forst Archer from game League Of Legends that i have played for a long time) with snow white hair and only using frost ench bows, MUCH better, im so hot <3

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Of course, if you want to play Legolas, what other choice do you have but a Wood Elf. I find that the Bosmer are the easiest to "humanize" of all the elf races. They don't have to look so "alien" and don't have silly skin colours.

Wood and High Elves look like aliens to me. I was a wood Elf at one point, but then I wanted to marry Aela, but she was about a foot taller than me and I felt weird...

<--- is a wood elf archer-assassin
not because legolas but because wood elfs are good at shooting arrows :)

I played a WE as a light armor double weapon archer. He totally kicked butt. But you are right in that he is the only one I've played. I usually play humans.

Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
Never had a Wood Elf. Two Nords, an Orc, an Argonian, a Dunmer, a Khajiit, and as of today, a Redguard. Hard to pick a favorite character, I have an attachment to all of them. My first two, Kohr (Orc), and Kohlar (Nord) are retired.

I have played as as wood elf, and like you can control animals and help you out which is a nice concept and enjoyable to do in the game. I also like how they are fast with the bow and arrow and that is kind of like Legalos from Lord of the rings is like and enjoyed playing as a male elf in one play through. The dialogues can be different depending on how you talk and are you a good guy or bad guy in the game.

Yeah I've actually never played as either.....I have played a Nord, Imperial, and a Khajiit. I just think the Elves look so alien and I haven't been brave enough to play an Argonian. I think I may on my next game though.

I played a Wood Elf once for ages, or what felt like ages to me, I only got up to level 29. xD Only once played an Argonian, didn't know what to do with it. So I don't think I got past level 2 or 3 on it... My two main characters right now are High Elves. So I either play High Elves or Khajiit these days. c:

Interestingly, when I go browsing fanart and fanfics of Skyrim OCs Wood Elf is the second highest choice of people. There are so many wood elves in fanfic. Breton is the most popular.

But yes, I have not played wood elves very often. I've played one recently. Well, three, but only because I kept restarting the character. I'm all about the Altmer. I love that extra 50 magic, that racial special, and the presence of the Thalmor mean they can have more tragically intense backgrounds.

Oh, and this Wood Elf character? Not an Archer. She could only use the Wabbajack in combat. She left confused chickens and bewildered bunnies everywhere she went is what the bards sing about her.

Mr Forz

I'm helping. Mostly.
I realized I've never ever made a Nord, a Breton, a Khajiit, an Altmer or a Bosmer.

I liked elves a lot more before I tried the older elder scrolls games. And when I say that I really just mean Oblivion. I don't like any of the elf races in Oblivion. If I'm just thinking of Skyrim, the bosmer are possibly my favorite of the elven races. I love how different the lore is from a typical fantasy wood elf. If I'm playing an archer, I'll generally choose either an argonian or a bosmer.

Other than my one wood elf, I've only ever made nords. I can't stand orcs, I don't really care for magic, bretons are too short, I never got into redguards (my first experience with them was the saadia quest and it was a turn off, I also dont like the thought of desert dwelling arabian knights in skyrim, lore-wise), high elves are obnoxious, and I don't want to be a lizard. I have, however, considered being Khajiit, but have never pulled the trigger.

Nords - big dumb people who like violence, xenophobia and overreacting, but the chicks got great racks!

Bretons - short dumpy ugly people with lousy attitudes and irritating voices that happen to be resistant to magic, but not very good at fighting. Look good in Dawnguard gear though.

Imperials - "cosmopolitan"? Yeah, for a bunch of folks that built an empire on the backs of corruption and death. Plus the women look like dudes. Just be sure to wear a full head covering helmet please!

Redguards - dusky beauties that will sunder you a twain at every opportunity and carry Curved Swords... Curved Swords!

Altmer - tall golden folks that look like Star Trek aliens and have snotty attitudes. Great when you need some cash since they're fat butt armor really brings in good coin.

Bosmer - short, woodsy folk that can bean you with an arrow from 100 paces and like to hang out with Dr. Doolittle.

Dunmer - ashy, ashy, ashy with British accents and red eyes. Always trying to kill somebody, especially folks they know.

Orcs - huge, green, violent folk that, frankly, scare the crap out of me!

Khajit - Here Kitty! Kitty! Kitty! (so, how long does your tail twitch after you're dead? I've seen corpses do it for months! They have to be battery operated.

Argonians - Sure you don't catch a cold and can retrieve the pennies I dropped on the bottom of the pool, but, what you're best at is providing materials for my boots.

JMHO :)
