    Sven the Silent

    Prince of Orange
    Appearance:

    Name:
    Severianus Celsus Octavius.
Age: 236, his physical appearance makes him look 34.
    Race: Imperial.
    Gender: Male.
    Sexuality: Hetrosexual.
    Height: 6'4'' tall.
    Weight: 197 lbs.
Build: Musculair and athletic, regularly works out to stay in good physical shape.
Hair Length: Short, horizontally straight cut fringe. The hair is layered to around 1-2 inches all over.
    Hair Color: Dark brown.
Facial Hair: A short stubble, looks as if he hasn't shaved in a day or two.
Eye Color: Light blue, changes into a dark red colour after not having fed for a few days.
Skin Color: Light, some what pale. His skin tends to get lighter after not having fed for a while.
Scars: Various scars adore his body, most notably a deep scar running sideways over his stomach in a gutting motion, a small but deep scar on his chest near his heart and a large scar running from the top of his forehead down over his right eye down to bottom of his cheek. Fortunately the scar has not blinded him, it only serves as a reminder of a day centuries ago along with the most horrific scars on his body. On closer inspection it would reveal that the three most horrific scars were inflicted by the same weapon, one that would seem as though it wasn't from this world.
Casual Attire: A set of fine clothes with or without the hat depending on his mood.

    Character Information:

    Birth Date:
    E3 399, 20th of Eveningstar.
    Birth Place: Bruma, Cyrodiil.
    Birthsign: The Lover.
Class: Primarily a warrior, capable of using vampiric powers when needed.
    Laterality: Right handed.
Marital Status: Father to a murdered daughter, husband to a murdered wife, single.
Properties: Owned a house in Bruma, Cyrodiil two centuries ago, no known property in Skyrim.
Affiliations: Imperial Legion, possibly also affiliated with vampiric factions.
    Afflictions: Sanguinare Vampiris.
Religion: The Nine Divines formerly, Deadric Worship.
Patron Deity: Stendarr formerly, Dibella formerly, Talos formerly, Hermaeus Mora.
Habits: His vampiric tendencies have shown capable of taking over when dealing with people of great displeasure or annoyance, especially when he hasn't fed in a couple days. There have been instances of Severianus losing control over himself and killing the formentioned persons by ripping out their throats. As a result of this he has a habit of trying to exit the conversation or leaving when such people are present, to avoid being discovered, this may be seen as weakness or stepping down from confrontation.
Hobbies: Due to his affliction, Severianus has resorted to chasing woman and has managed to build up a reputation of ladies man in several cities throughout Skyrim. He does enjoy doing the deed and spending time with the women, having gone as far as having several encounters with the same woman and even having short relationships. He feeds of his partner while they sleep but does so carefully to avoid causing them unnecessary pain or discomfort, but primarily to make sure he isn't discovered. Normally this wouldn't be considered a hobby but he needs to feed atleast once every several days so he tries to stay sexually active. When he is not chasing women Severianus enjoys reading books, spending time at the local taverns and engaging in story telling but also travelling throughout the landscape to seek what he desires most.
Positive traits: Intelligent, patient, brave, calm, charming, confident, disciplined, loyal, creative, friendly.
Negative Traits: Stubborn, cunning, selfish, unpredictable, dishonest, cold.
Likes/Loves: The Empire, he grew up in The Empire and has been a veteran of many campaigns. Reading about history and the present, finding forgotten knowledge. Has a weakspot for women and childern, especially those of the female sex.
Dislikes/Hates: High Elves, Bosmer and Khajiit, primarily those who are affiliated with the Aldmeri Dominion. Werewolves and Werebears, people whom hurt women or childern, unintelligent and uneducated people, Deadra and Demora, spiders of any size. And despite dealing with them he does also strongly dislike vampires.
Fears: A combatless death is something that he fears most, Severianus is afraid that if he dies without proving himself worthy that he will be send to Coldharbour, the realm of Molag Bal. He seeks to die by Nordic traditions so that he may be allowed to enter Sovngarde. He isn't completely sure whether or not that would work. Which is why he has spend the better part of a century living in Skyrim in search of the knowledge he needs to confirm that dying in battle will provide him with an entry to Sovngarde. He has no other fears, dying and being send to the realm of Molag Bal is his biggest and only fear.
Aspirations: To find the knowledge he so desperatly seeks so he may live the rest of his days with a peaceful state of mind. And to a lesser extend to restore to glory of the Empire.
Weakness: Women and childern, especially childern. He is capable of fighting and killing a woman should he be forced to, but with regret and withdrawal and seeks to avoid conflict at all costs. He is not capable of hurting a child, not anymore. A child or one with the appearance of a child will be capable of ending his life for he will then and only then accept the enternal torture by Molag Bal for the horrible act he commited those centuries ago.

    Skills and Gear:

Armour: A full set of heavy Imperial armour with an officer's helmet rather then the normal variant, the entire set looks old, almost ancient and has seen its fair share of combat spanning over several decades, centuries even. On closer inspection the set would reveal that it is enchanted to boost the wearers resistance to fire. In the past there may have been room for speculation about the need for the rather specific enchantment protecting against fire when there are various other types of magic available. Recently however, with the return of the dragons whom are known to breath fire the room for speculation has faded completely as it seems fairly obvious for an Imperial soldier to have to deal with the Dragon threat sooner or later.
Weapons: Imperial sword and shield that appear to look as old as the armour he is wearing, neither carry any enchantments.
Skills: One Handed, blocking, heavy armour, vampiric powers, hand-to-hand combat. A normal person would be in good physical for thirty maybe fourty years in which he is capable of knowing and training his body to the maxium of its extend. Severianus has had the chance to do that for the past two centuries and therefor, along with his vampiric powers and above mortal strength is a force to be reckoned with. He however knows that himself and tries to conceal his strength as to not arouse any suspicion. He has also been blessed with a natural silver tongue, like many Imperials. And he has had plenty of practise with its usage. His vampiric side also offers him a resistance to frost on equal level of the Nords.
Gear: He has no need for food or drinks but carries rations with him regardless on the off chance that anyone might go through his backpack. He also carries several pouches of gold and some gems of high value. His backpack also contains various books, up to the point of the better part of his backpack consisting of books rather then gear he might actually need. Somewhere amidst the books, rations and gold is a single Mark of Dibella.

    Character Background:

Early Life: Severianus grew up in the city of Bruma, located in the Jural mountains near the border with Skyrim. His life as a child was normal, he grew up with both Imperial and Nordic influences. Not only because Bruma happened to contain a large Nordic population but also because his mother was a Nord and his father an Imperial. The city was peacefull and so was life in it, there were never really any major threats nor were any other signs of discomfort that could have influenced his young life. His childhood was happy, but can ultimately be classified as normal.

Early Teens: While developing into a young man he was encouraged to become an Imperial soldier much like a lot of teens and adults in the Empire. There was of course speculation that the Empire was facing difficulties because the many provinces that it held were engaging in their own conflicts with eachother, the homefront however was peaceful and flourished. As a teenager he went through the same stages as most childern but never really did anything more extreme then sneaking out of the village at night to explore the woods or mountains with his friends, something awfully dangerous but he got lucky and never encountered any hostile creatures. Around this age he also got into his first relationship with a Nordic girl from his school, a relationship that would last throughout his teens and eventually develop into a marriage that would last until the gates of Oblivion opened and the Deadra poured out to wreak havoc throughout Tamriel.

Late Teens: As a young man venturing on the edge towards adulthood he joined the Imperial Legion to provide for his family, he wasn't offically married yet but his girlfriend was pregnant with their first child. As an Imperial by birth and with a father whom had served in the Legion, Severianus endured rigorous training period which turned him into a proper soldier worthy of carrying the image of the Imperial Legion. Throughout his training, life remained prosperous, the Empire stood strong and united and near the end of the training period, his soon to be wife gave birth to his daughter. Having a baby is one of the most magical moments of your life. It practically turns your world upside down. The moment you hold your baby in your arms for the first time, you wonder how such a tiny bundle of thing creates so much emotions within you. And you wonder if it's possible that you've actually brought such a tiny, beautiful being into this world. Having a child is surely the most beautifully irrational act that two people in love can commit. A baby is an inestimable blessing and bother.

Adulthood: Life proved to be full of opportunities and joy. The Empire was in great shape and it seemed as though nothing could go wrong. There were no conflicts and the Empire had achieved peace in most of the regions it controlled. Despite being a veteran of several campaigns he had never gotten injured and always returned home to his loving wife and daughter. Everything seemed to be going right in his life, his family was doing great, his career was going well and his home town continued to enjoy a peacefull and safe setting. He was truely blessed with the life he had been given and could wish for nothing more. Unfortunately this blissful state of life wasn't ment to be forever and got cut short with the start of the Oblivion crisis.

Severianus was called into action and joined the other men who would fight to protect all of Tamriel but mostly their homes from the invading Deadra. The Imperials defended their land, managing even to take the battle into Oblivion; they struck with such ferocity that the Daedra themselves were forced to close many of their own Gates. During the campaign many of his brothers in arms fell to the Deadra, the enemy seemed to be pouring out with ever greater numbers and nothing seemed capable of stopping them. Moral was low but the fighting continued, giving up ment certain death at the hands of the cruel Deadric Lord that was leading the invasion. Severianus seeking to protect his own family deserted his current unit and made his way over to Bruma, just in time to join the Legion in charge of the defense of the town.

The Second battle of Bruma was fought then, and was the largest engagement against the Daedra to that point. Severianus fought bravely at the front of the line but was ultimately mortally wounded by the Deadra as his line was broken. With his face slashed open, his stomach bleeding and a sword having penetrated his chest he layed amongst the corpses, clinging on to life and expecting the worst. The other soldiers however, managed to hold off the Daedric charge long enough for the Hero of Kvatch to enter the Great Gate when it opened. Passing through the Oblivion plane beyond, the Hero fought their way to the Sigil Tower and took the Sigil Stone. The Great Gate was closed even as the monstrous Siege Crawler emerged from it. The Siege Crawler was destroyed and the Daedra defeated. The Empire had won a powerful victory.

The Empire had indeed won a powerful victory but Severianus had to deal with a disastrous defeat, his wife and child had been murdered by the Deadra during the siege, the town was beyond destruction and he now prayed for death, wishing to join his family in the afterlife. The Imperial healers had other plans however and managed to keep him alive for transportation with a large column of wounded. They say that when it rains, it pours. And pouring it did, the column got raided by vampires whom took many of the wounded, including him as prisoners to be used as living livestock, to be fed off until they were deemed no longer useful and then slaughtered.

Early Life as a Vampire: Seeking death rather being bled dry for the nourishment of creatures so foul that they could not stand the light of day, Severianus, despite his injuries tried to rebel, not to win, not to escape but simpely to be killed and relieved of his torment. Unofrtunately his fate had been decided, the gods were not done tormenting him yet. In the ensuing battle rather then being killed the vampires, much to their own amusement decided to turn him into one of their own. Purely out of spite, to doom him to a life of the very being he seemed to despise so much.

Days passed and his thrist for blood increased, yet he refused to eat if that ment he had to feed on the very soldiers he had marched into combat with. Going without feeding only increased his anger, made him stronger and seemed to heal his wounds faster. This would be the first time he would be faced with how vicious a vampire became after not having fed for so long, being morally conflicted by forced to watch the monsterous side inside you win is a horrible feeling. He could no longer resist the urge to feed but was contained and kept back until the other vampires brought with them a young child, a girl that looked much like his own. He could not contain himself, something he would feel regret and feel guilty about for the rest of his life.

The screams never go away and he has been forced to deal with his trauma every time he sees a young child. Because of that horrific event Severianus has grown more cold and emotionless to deal with the hatred of what he is, to this day he is uncapable of harming a child and will go out of his way to brutally murder anyone that does. His time with the people whom turned him was short, spanning only over a couple months, after which he was strong enough to fight and kill them all.

He saved the leader to the end, brutally torturing the man whom had decided to turn him, a process so horrific and painfull that it was as if Molag Bal himself was playing with his captives, he had indeed grown into something that he would refuse to accept for the next decade. In the aftermath he roamed through Cyrodiil as an empty shell, only to eventually join up with the Legion once more, a place that felt at home and where he could quietly try to deal with the suffering he had experienced.

    First Century as a Vampire:

Seeking for a place of calmth to deal with his inner torment he quickly signed up for a transfer to the island of Solstheim, a place away from it all where he could relax and achieve inner peace. He remained on the island for the coming decades, staying and surving the eruption of the Red Mountain and experiencing the transfer of ownership from Nordic to the Dunmer. He continued to serve Imperial interests by helping the East Empire company on the island and staying hired as one of their soldiers to protect their wares on the island and mainly their settlement of Raven Rock. As time passed he was forced to leave the island, he should have been growing old but remained looking young. An issue that would plague him for the remainder of his life. He would not be able to settle anywhere permanently so with regret he left the island and returned to Cyrodill, home to a weakened Empire that was only a shadow of its former self.

He had no family, no friends and was forced to stay alone for most of his travels through Cyrodill, this is when he found peace and comfort in Dibella. She kept him Human and reminded him of his family and the loved ones he once had, only through this was he able to return to Bruma, the city he once called his home, to deal with something he had been blocking out, the death of his wife and childern. For the next couple of months he would remain in Bruma, tending to the grave of his wife and child and actively mourning their loss, eventually accepting the painfull memories and slowly moving on with his life. Staying and living in Bruma proved to be to difficult on him so he eventually departed once more, this time to the Imperial City so he could try and actively move on.

Around that time he discovered that spending time with women helped ease his mind and also provided a handy and risk free source of food, being capable of feeding of them while they slept. He slowly developed into a ladies man, seeking comfort and closeness that he would otherwise not be capable of finding but also seeking to ease his thirst for blood. But again time eventually caught up with him and he chose to enlist back into the Imperial Legion, to serve throughout Cyrodiil, something he continued doing for the remainder of the century, occasionally faking his death so his record would be wiped clean and then enlisting again somewhere else. Being in the Imperial Legion provided you with a home without having to stay in one place continously, it allowed him authority to move as he pleased and earned him respect from citizens wherever he travelled. Serving and doing good deeds also helped ease his mind about what he was and about what he had done and was still doing to remain alive.

    Second Century as a Vampire:

Continously doing the same things over and over again began to bore him, he had lived his life and sought to end it to be allowed eternal peace rather then the tiring lifestyle of having to feed of someone else every couple of days. His family always lingered on his mind and the fact that he was a monster and not ment to live this long always haunted him during the most quiet moments when his mind was left to wander. Around this time Severianus began seeking the knowledge about what would happen to him should he die, the stories only worsened his fear that he could not escape the bad deeds he had done and would be send to the realm of Molag Bal to face his eternal torture.

His searches for forbidden or lost knowledge led him out of Cyrodiil and into Skyrim, he eventually made his home in Winterhold, having arrived just after the Great Collapse that had destroyed much of the city. The population was hostile against the college and the college was protective of their own. Despite that he attempted to join the college only to be turned down because of his lack of magical capabilities, as a result he actively experimented with his vampiric powers and eventually managed to fool his way into being accepted as a student.

The college provided to be a great source of information but ultimately did not help him on his quest, the information was to vague, but he deduce that living as a nord and respecting their culture but most of all dying in battle would allow ones entry into Sovngarde regardless of race. True or not, this led him to alter his life style from Imperial back to his mothers roots, those of a Nord. He quickly left the college so he would not be discovered as a fraud and attempted to connect to his Nordic roots, and live in a Nordic fashion, even focusing on the worship of Talos. In an attempt to secure a position in Sovngarde in the event of his death.

His reputation of a ladies man returned as he had numerous encounters in the cities that he stayed in over the following decades. He actually started to enjoy life again. This province was so different from the one he had called his home. But he could never forget that if he was to die that he would end up in the realm of Molag Bal, unless he could find concrete information about the after life. It was during this time that he could no longer resist the dying calls of his Empire and actively participated in the Legion once more.

The Empire was facing hard times and when decades later the Aldmeri Dominion invaded, it was all but ready to repel the invading force. The war was long and hard and nearly ended in the destruction of The Empire and the loss of Tamriel to Aldmeri rule. Fortunately the Imperials backed by a large army consisting of Nords and natives of Cyrodiil managed to turn the tide and destroy the entire army that the Aldmeri Dominion had left in Cyrodiil, effectively crippeling their military power but at a huge cost to our own. But, a peace treaty was signed and the Empire was allowed to survive, barely with the Aldmeri Dominion rebuilding their forces, much like the Empire.

The decades that followed were marked with rebuilding the cities throughout Tamriel and trying to deal with the situations that had unravelled, Hamerfell was less then happy with the terms of the treaty and had ceeded. Rebuilding was though enough without some mad man claiming free worship of Talos killing the high king of Skyrim and throwing that province into a civil war. Something a weakened Empire could ill afford.

    The Present:

Severianus has been actively participating on the Imperial behalf of the conflict. The Stormcloaks believed that they could liberate Skyrim and go on to battle the Aldmeri Dominion. Yet they lacked a proper and trained army, their forces were small and couldn't even deal with the small force the Empire had been able to field. The rest of their army was on the border with the Aldmeri Dominion, building defences incase the war started again.

Ulfric neglects to tell the young boys that join him that they were free to worship Talos despite it being outlawed, everyone had kept their shrines to Talos at home and the Empire never planned on enforcing the terms of the treaty, but it wasn't until Ulfric started to make a big deal about it and actively demanded open worship for Talos in several cities that the Empire was forced to respect the terms of the treaty and started cracking down on his worship. He had effectively dug his own grave and the dumb Nords that flocked to him only served to deal the Empire blows while it was trying to get back on its feet to deal with the Aldmeri Dominion once and for all.

Despite serving the Empire in the civil war Severianus has also found out about mysterious black books and the information they hold, since then he has been secretly worshipping Hermaeus Mora and searching for the location of such a book to secure his place in a proper after life in the event of his death. But also, though less importantly he seeks to return the Empire to its glory.

The colour I will speak in: This should do.

I had expected to have received a reply whether or not I am accepted by now, this whole thread doesn't seem very active.
Yeah sorry about that. Been a stupid week because I have been sick and dealing with school and work.

Also around your card was going to wait for more people's reactions but let me see.

Fair enough, I was not aware that you were having a bad week. I've just been anxious to roleplay so a yes or no answer would be appreciated, I do not want to bite of more then I can chew in terms of roleplay, hence i've been waiting on the answer regarding my acceptance here. Also, I am new to this site as you may be able to tell and I am not aware of what ''SB'' stands for. If someone could elaborate then that would be lovely.

Also how power are these vampire powers he has?

He has contracted the disease but he is no Vampire Lord, he has all the capabilities that a normal vampire would. Keep in mind that he was not bitten in Skyrim but in Cyrodiil, there is a difference. When the Cyrodilic Vampires are well fed, they are rarely recognized by ordinary people and can even walk in daylight. When they are starving, all the vampire traits are apparent and they cannot fool anyone. This unique trait of Cyrodilic vampires was a gift from Clavicus Vile. So to narrow that down, being well fed equals me looking perfectly normal. (Unlike vampires n Skyrim who's facial features and eyes tend to change no matter what stage.)

I'm rather loathe to welcome vampirism and it's gimmicks, but this is Skies' show. He decides you're in, you're in.

For everyone else, sorry about not posting even though I said I could, real life is a serious bitch that screws with your head sometimes.

    I'll remedy that shortly

How about this, post since we lost a person, and haven't seen the other possible member post. And we will talk about how much power he should use (since we are on a low level set, so we can grow as the RP goes on.)

I feel as though the power part of your response is directed at me. My character will refrain from using vampiric powers for as long as possible, he does not want to get discovered. Being overpowered should not be an issue, unless someone here directly challenges him and corners him so much he is forced to use his full potential.

I do not know whether I am accepted or not, my submission to be allowed into the Shoutbox is still pending seeing as the Global Moderator I was suggested to send the request to hasn't been online in quite a while.

You are in, though since your character is naturally stronger due to his condition, I would like you to keep him from being overbearing with his power.

I hate posting when I have pretty much nothing to do with this RP but...

Looking good guys. :) And Sven? Might want to message Cordellia about that. She is a moderator and might be able to help. She's on often enough. At least once a day.

I posted, it has been a little while so I might be a tad rusty. Added in a little modified quote from one movie I particularly enjoyed. I look forward to how this will progress, i'm a bit late to the party but better late then never, right? Anyway, hope you enjoyed my starting post. :)
