The Scaled Arcanist
Hey guys,

At the moment i'm on the playthrough that I started a few days ago, i'm doing the dawnguard quest line and I go into dimhollow crypt to (spoiler alert I guess) Find Serana. Anyway, on one of the first mobs in the dungeon I found a sword with the enchantment 'lingering fire' Or something like that. This has literally justed happened and is the reason i'm posting this right now. Anyway, I come across a really hard mob, one that I won't be able to beat and would've probably forced me to exit the dungeon and to continue to grind. The enchant on this sword deals 3 fire damage per second on the enemy until the battle is over, so I see the level to these door bars and I close it, stopping the Skeleton wight guardian from chasing me. It was then that something clicked. I unlock the bars, equip the sword and hit him once before fleeing back to the handle to close the bars. Because he is still trying to kill me, and i'm taunting him from behind the cage, the effect is working and it slowly but surely takes him down to a health to which he flees and I chase him down and deal the finishing blow. This honestly has to be one of my favourite moments in Skyrim, and i've played a lot of Skyrim. Have any of you guys had encounters like this?

TL;DR Skeleton = 0 Dragonborn= 1

I was playing a pure thief character. All of the stealth skills basically. No combat skills, and just a sword gifted to me by Mercer. On a job in Solitude, I cleaned out a house and as I'm leaving, the three thugs approach to "teach me a lesson". Completely screwed, I go into my inventory hoping for a solution and find a miracle: A poison of frenzy that I had forgotten to sell. I poisoned my sword and hit two of them(had the concentrated poison perk) and let them kill each other rather than me! Even better, it was one of the frenzied ones that came out the victor so he attacked a guard!!! All while I'm standing there watching the show and eating a sweet roll.

I'm playing a character who may only use the Wabbajack for combat and daggers in emergencies. I've got to say, there was something terribly satisfying about turning both Malkoran and then Malkornan's Shade into a sweetroll.

This character also has the Ritual Stone power which made Dead Man's Respite a lot of fun. I'd killed about 12 dragr in the boss fight chamber and ran out of charges and soul gems for the Wabbajack so I had an army of 12 dragr dealing with the last 3 then King Olaf One-Eye. He was a tough boss or else all the dragr were really weak because my army had shrunk to 4 by the time he fell. But it was really great having an army of dragr. I don't think I'll ever have another Standing Stone Power. I am totally doing the quest with Golldir's Family tomb and the Wolf Queen quests to recreate this.

Actually come to think it, a lot of my most memorable fights were ones other NPCs fought. I remember with great fondness hearing: "We're here to teach you a lesson" after coming out of Goldenglow Estates. That was the day I learnt that the Goldenglow Estate Mercenaries don't notice you burning down beehives when they are busy killing Hired Thugs.

Doing Forbidden Legand quest, and despite being a mage and CoW member Jyrik was the last brother on the list. I knew from previous fights that he had an elemental shield, and I only used fire magic (my illusion magic being useless against an undead). So I ended up killing him with the Gaulder Backblade. Felt so wrong, and yet so right.:)

The secret American
I remember walking in a random cave, filled with bandits. I play as a stealthy archer, so I shoot one that's sitting on a chair, by the fire. The shot was directly in to the back of his head, and came out at his eye-socket. But he sacked through the chair, which I found hilarious. The next bandit got launched in the fire :p

But the most memorable of all kills, would be the Frost Troll at The Throat of the World. I was at a low level when the Greybeards called me, so I went up, killed the pelgrims (I'm bad, I know) and then came across the Troll. Let's just say he killed me numerous times. I abandoned the quest, became thane of Whiterun. Then got Lydia to come with me, that ended up as the Troll nearly killing Lydia and well.. I finished Lydia off with a missed arrow shot :|

Reloaded and decided to go alone, and just make a run for it. I made that, learned all the Unrelenting Force shouts, went back and shouted that Troll of the mountain. :D A kill never felt so satisfying

Carrying on from this quest, just fought all three brothers at Reachwater Rock. The first two almost finished me, what with their enchanted blades and teleport spells. When Jyrik came down, I thought I was done for. Looking through my powers, I found... Ritual stone.:D
Long story short, 7 ex-draugr thralls rushed their shade master and slaughtered him, whilst I just sat there and watched the melee. There was much celebration at the Stronghold that night. Sadly I may have to sell the Amulet to pay for my CoW education (Theres a nice looking staff i'm after).

Killing the giant frostbite spider at the beginning of the game. The one for the golden claw that has the guy bound in its web (names are escaping me). I cast a frenzy spell on either the spider or the man, and the man gets out of his web and kills the spider for me after two or three casts of frenzy. Then he goes back into his web, and proceeds to ask me to cut him down. Hilarious and just... amazing.

Seriously?! I hate that guy... I always try to kill him immediately, doesn't always work as planned though.. Then I got to track his ass down..

Yeah, have him do the work for you. It's one of the most satisfying things until you actually still have to cut him down.

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap
My character is an archer assassin, and I was clearing out Valheim Tower. I had killed everyone but the two archers on the far bank.

I was in the doorway inside the ramp that leads up to the bridge, peeking over to their side and retreating as their arrows clattered around me. I would peek, line up my shot, retreat, peek, allow for distance and their higher elevation by aiming 3-4 feet above their heads, retreat, peek, and take my shot. Two archers, two successive shots, two cinematic kill sequences; one through the throat, one through the left eyeball. Verry satisfying watching the arrows in slow motion flight and the impact throwing their lifeless bodies into a backwards somersault.

If I could have walked up to the bridge and shouted my exhilaration to the night I would have. But the Dovahkiin is a stone cold killer and after he looted their dead bodies and pillaged their treasure, he carried on as if their death and the manner in which they died was no great feat.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Fus Do Rah'ed a drauger deathlord down a long hallway of swinging blades. He got sliced and diced the whole way down. Of course, once of his compatriots was enough of an idiot to run to check on him - right in to the same blades. It was a twofer.

In Valthume in the room with the spiders, I casted muffle and invisibility with my mage character then put a fire rune on the wall. This was the first time I ever explored this place but was told of what was inside ahead of time. So after I open the chest (stupid me as there wasn't anything good in it) the spider falls down from its perch. Well at this point I had a random idea to fus ro dah it as it's coming down so I do so and it gets sent flying over to the wall with the rune making it explode and killing it. I was so amazed by it that I forgot that I was still playing and was killed by the rest of them.

Maybe a bit boring compared to some of the others in this thread, but the standout one for me was probably the first time I shouted a bandit off a bridge over a waterfall and onto the jagged rocks below, killing him instantly. It was marvelously satisfying!
