So this isn't exactly completely Skyrim related, but it kind of is. I've discovered as of a few weeks ago that on PS3, you can actually take screenshots without a capture card or using a camera. All you need is an external drive, formatted to be able to take PS3 files and saves. So here's how to do it: start up the game you want to screenshot. Have your character looking at whatever you want to screenshot or have your character posed and ready, then when you save be sure to have whatever you want to screenshot in the little preview window of the save. Do a hard save, then copy said save onto your external drive (USB flash drive etc). Plug the external drive into your PC. Go to My Computer (on Windows obviously) and open up the drive. It should be under the saves folder, so open that one and copy and paste the save (it actually shows up as an image file - I think a .png or some such) onto the desktop or into a folder somewhere. To upload just navigate to wherever you saved it and select it. And there you go - you now have a way to screenshot not only Skyrim, but any game, atleast in theory. I've only tested it with Skyrim, and besides a bit of blurriness and small sized photo, it worked great.
Thought of making a separate post about this, but it just doesn't seem worth it, so I figured where best to put it but here? :) Hope this helps other PS3 users. I know it's helped me! :p

So I've started playing Skyrim again.

Had 2 or so months off.

Started a new game.

Decided to play different than before. No plan to do certain quests, no marriage, no house, no collecting.

Just going to live the life of a wandered. Do quests that sort of fall into my lap, sleep at inns and just sell everything I won't actually be using.

It's been refreshing. Even added little things like no fast travelling and making sure I try to eat once or twice a day. Just some things I've never done before.

Good for you! I love the RP aspect of trying to live a "normal" life in skyrim.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
I just discovered that, if you go back to Ustengrav after giving the Horn to the Greybeards and activate the pedestal, the Horn suddenly reappears there and you get a Dragon Soul!

Who knew?

It was an accident that I forgot to take the note the first time through so I went back to get it (I keep ALL my notes, even the stupid ones) and that happened.

Hmm... I wonder what else I've missed after all these hours of play.

Maybe there's a marriable Troll? A friendly giant? A Necromancer that' won't immediately try to kill me as soon as he sees me?

If I remeber right, some of them wont attack, if you dont get too close. They may see you but wont attack.
I dont remeber because they dont see mee, but they feel my arrow in their heads
One near heartfire home is very good pratice dummy for sneaking and archery :ashstab:

I've considered the khajit the weakest race for a long time, now I'm wondering if they're better than imperials. Claws are fantastic early in the game! Even on legendary Helgen was easy, and when I ran out of arrows in Embershard Mine I switched to claws and started shredding guys. I think I fell back on my claws in Bleak Falls Barrow once of twice and knowing they're an option makes low level sneaking a lot less stressful. There's some easy money to be made brawling too.

Obviously there isn't much use for claws in the mid levels and higher, but that early boost is big- particularly for an archer or mage.

The other races (except maybe imperials) still have enough that I couldn't rank the khajit above any of them. Claws are useful but not more than natural resistances, berzkerk rage, histskin, extra magica etc.

Argonians are still number 1. Histskin is incredible.

I decided to make a character who is only allowed to use the Wabbajack as her primary form of combat, with a dagger for whenever she runs out of charges and soul gems.

Level 11, and already I can see that when bards tell tales of her heroic exploits they'll be saying things like: "She left confused chickens and bewildered bunnies everywhere she went."

The disarm shout

With all three words does it disarm bandit chiefs, draugr deathlords etc.? I've never used it before and with two words the enemies I really want to disarm are resisting it

Not in my experience. It doesn't seem to work on anything very powerful.

Couple things.

Is it just for me that Belethor's General Good is bugged? Followers always use the back entrance (no homo) rather than the front door. Quest markers on screen always say to leave via there as well. Seem a bit odd to trapse through his kitchen to buy things from him.

Met some friendly bandits yesertday. Walking from College of winterhold to the dwarven ruin with a name like Anzfant (one to initially gain entry to blackreach) and walked passed two bandits walking in the snow. Expected a "Back off, I'm warning you" but was suprised when the just stopped and look. So I pressed A to talk to them, one said "No offence, but you don't look so good" or whatever that line is. Bandit witha big heart :)

When i was in the ruin, the second zone is a huge chamber with a downward spiral slop to the bottom. For some reason Serena just jumped off. by the time I walked down there, she'd killed most thing. I finished off a falmer (again, no homo) and a spider and walked over to her. For some reason, a non hostile falmer war right behind her. Staring at her like he was hostile, but just followed her. I mean like, inches behind her. He wasn't her conjured one either. Still a proper enemy. He followed us until we entered the next zone. Firendly bandits and falmers within 30 minutes of each other. I had to kill an innocent bard on the road later on to return the balance to the world.

I just wanted to say that using the Ritual Stone power when you have killed 12-15 of the dragr in the boss fight chamber of Dead Man's Respite is the most awesome thing ever.

Why do you people use a shield when you have Unrelenting Force to stun enemies?

Also I've started to realize that I can't play a female character on console as I can't make them attractive enough without mods

I like to do it in Dustman's Cairn as well. Farkas doesn't like it but I do!

My Ingin is plenty hot enough for me with her red hair, smoky eyes and heaving bosom in her vampire armor. I don't need my girls looking like sluts. Now Marcurio, maybe! [emoji12]

Last night while in Riften, I actually listened to Maven's conversation as Jarl with me while I was taking care of her Skooma problems and I never realized that she saw me as a threat to her position.

I love discovering something new. :)

I don't want them looking like sluts. I just want them to look like they can easily kick buckets of ass while looking good doing it and not like a straight up dude like the imperial chick in the loading screen.

Maybe it's just because I only make Nord women that I think they're very beautiful (I always save at the end of the evening with a close up in good lighting so I get a good look the next day when I start up again).

I agree that Imperial and Breton women just look like dudes. The Imperials are butch and the Breton's are dumpy little fat face things no matter what you do. Altmer women are just weird looking and Dunmer have those freaky eyes. I can come up with a decent looking Bosmer, but, why? And don't get me started on Orc women - YUCK! Of course it's a little tough to make a lizard or a cat look beautiful by human standards. I do often make my Redguard women look like Haley Berry though and I always enjoy that.

My girls are always very beautiful and kick some butt, but I wonder why the women all have such skinny arms (even when the use two handed weapons!).

I only make female Redguards and Nords. I tried with the others but I couldn't get anything going (though I did make a decent looking Orc once). As for the arm thing I wonder that myself. The characters always look real skinny even though I put the weight scale at 5 or 6 usually.
