Killed them all from horseback (common Whiterun stable horse, with me entire time), half dozen or so including their blacksmith. While looting bodies the legate came out and I fought him as dismounted cavalry. Couldn't kill him (guess he was still critical to game)

Legate Rikke? Thats a woman I think you'll find :) Hahaha, since you stormed (Ironic) an imperial camp and since she's Tullius 2nd? in command she was like, you aint getting away from me!

I remember the Legate being male; could be wrong, I guess. Anyway, I beat the legate down to no health, but would not die. Like certain critical characters who are unkillable...for the time being.

Passed another Imperial camp waiting to be "discovered" just today. Tried to lead a frost troll into the camp, to see what would happen, but I guess it was a tad too far. Troll did kill several bandits for me when I led it to their outdoor camp.

My favorite type of character to play in Elder Scrolls games is a Alchemy Archer. Lots of Poisons applied from long range. Some of my best 'Awesome' moments is when I am stalking through the world and come across some random enemies who haven't seen me. If its at night its even better because you can barely make out their figures from a distance. Being able to hit a moving target that you can barely see is what makes me love the Archer class.

Today I passed-by the Imperial camp I wiped out from horseback awhile ago in my WOW moment. Nobody there. Just heard the surviving Legate basically tell me to leave (but didn't see him). So I left, after re-looting chest that had respawned.

It was kind of sad, and now I wish I didn't do that even though I'm Stormcloak.

I'm letting the Civil War continue for awhile longer. Hope the Imperial campe gets back in the war.

Oh man I had a lot of "wow" moments in Skyrim. But I think my first "Wow WTF!" moment was when I messed around with a Giant in the game and I tried to lure him into Wihiterun but I ended up getting killed and on his last blow my character went flying hundreds of feet in the air.

But the first "Holy crap that was awesome" moment for me was when I got the Daedric Armor. At first I thought it was nothing special but once I got the whole thing going on I look like a total badass Dragon slayer. I can't say the same for the Dragonbone armor though, that thing was really disappointing to look at.

The biggest wow moment of the game for me was definitely at the end of the main quest line. The scenery and atmosphere of Sovngarde was beautiful, and having to shout the fog away was really cool to me. The sky in that area was absolutely amazing, and overall it was probably the best experience in the game for me.

Mine was slaying the first dragon. That was amazing! Then, reaching Solitude for the first time.

Then, seeing the Greybeards. And Paarthunax.

Yeah - my biggest WOW moment was the final task given to me by the Blades. I couldn't. I just couldn't.

And I hated Delphine and Esbern after that. :ashstab:

Another one was I was leaving the Winking Skeaver after staying the night when I overheard the Corpulus talking to his daughter and Sorex. I don't remember word for word but it went something like this.

Corpulus-I think it's getting time for me to retire
Daughter- I can take over the inn
Corpulus- I don't think so I don't want you working in a place like this
Daughter- I can do it
Sorex- I think she'd do a fine job
Corpulus-(heavy sigh) I'm never going to retire.

How incredible is that! It had nothing to do with me or any quest. Just a cool funny conversation I happen to over hear. WOW!

My biggest wow moment was definitely meeting Paarthunax for the first time. I was expecting to see a cabin or cave at the throat of the world and meeting mystical hermit, or even a ghost. I had no idea I was going to come face to face with a dragon. I loved the way Paarthunax spoke, I was totally captivated by the entire scene. It left me thinking "Woah" long after. Total wow moment for me.

First time I got Beast Form. Running around tearing the heads off the people at Whiterun was so damn satisfying! Only bad thing was when it ended.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
First time Soul Rend not only killed, but Raised a Deathlord who proceeded to follow me around.

First time using the Ritual Stone Power (unfortunately I used it accidentally at the Battle of Whiterun - oops!).

Ah I almost forgot about this as a wow moment for me. I totally agree. The first time I got an elder scroll was a very powerful moment

I posted in this thread a couple of years ago saying my biggest Wow moment was finding Blackreach.

I'm only on my second play-through now and just arrived there again last night. It was still mind blowing of course. But even though it was only my second time arriving there after over two years since the first time, the impact just wasn't the same.

This might seem obvious, but I had never really thought about it before. Arriving in Blackreach the first time just completely blew me away, because it was just so unexpected. It may well have been my favourite gaming experience of all time (up there with the opening moments of Bioshock for sheer wow factor). But it has occurred to me that it is an experience I can now only attempt to relive, but the feelings I experienced through my first descent into Alftand, seeing Falmer for the first time, being awe struck by the sight of the Cathedral (with no clue as to what waited below it) and everything that followed upon arrival in Blackreach itself... these are feelings I will never have again. Nonetheless, they are feelings that I will remember forever.

This is a small wow, but it really surprised me today.

After confronting Bersi Honey-Hand about his debt to Brynjolf, he gladly paid up, and I left the Pawned Prawn. But he followed me out, and started running. Curious, I followed. He went right to Edda, the beggar, and stopped in front of her. She asked if he could spare any coin, and he said, "Here you go, dear." And then he left.

In over three years of playing this game, I've never seen an NPC give gold to a beggar.

I feel really, really badly about all the times I wrecked Bersi's vase now.

I decided it was time to play Dawnguard from the side of the vampires, so I created a vampire as I thought it would make more sense that way. It always bugs me that a human says: "Sure, my yummy blood filled neck and I would be happy to take you back home to your castle full of vampires."

And the wow moment: I just woke Serana up and she knew I was a vampire. We had a different conversation. She'd been expecting someone from her family as opposed to a vampire and asked if I was "one of [her] Father's little acolytes" before being surprised that a vampire wouldn't know who her Father was. When I told her the Dawnguard would want me to kill her she dismissed it with: "Don't think that'll stop them turning on you. They'll eventually figure out what you are."
