As the title says, interior areas in skyrim don't load fully so I see the night sky above or a dark abyss below. I'm running a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970M with latest drivers on an ASUS ROG G751J. I'm not running many mods at the moment and every thing else runs fine. Please help as this issue is ruining my latest playthrough.

Now's not the time for fear. That comes later.
Just to get this out of the way, do you have mods?

It could be something with mods conflicting each other.

I notice you have Hearthfire and distant detail. Distant Detail is not compatible with Hearthfire, so that could be a problem, although you might already know that. Have you tried downloading the Hearthfire Edition of it? The incompatibility may be the issue. If you haven't already, uninstall Distant Detail and install the Hearthfire edition found here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25300/?

I realize that Distant Detail is for outside, and you are having interior problems but it is worth a shot.

Yea after that whole nothing thing. I can always tell wehn it's going to be like that cause i get no loading tip or picture what so ever. I JUST Did a fresh install and really don't want to do it again because i probably just won't take the time and patience to set it up and play again.

Whoa. Okay, now I'm not sure what's wrong. I've had mods cause parts of my game not to load but for an entire cell to not load is something I've never seen before. I did some Googling and it could be something wrong with your .ini files. I'll keep looking around and I'll post some links if I find some stuff. Do you have SKSE? I'd imagine you do, but if not I recommend downloading it and running Skyrim through it. If you do have it then try running Skyrim through Steam. Also, just to be sure if it something with your mods or not you may want to uncheck all of them and run the game. This will let me know if it is your files or your mods. And if you have the problem still after disabling mods the next thing you are going to want to do is try disabling your dlcs also. Do it one at a time because that way we can figure out if it is your Vanilla Skyrim files or a dlc's files.

I don't know what fixed it, but you sir are a legend :). I uninstalled The distance mod and got a different one, The LODS Overhaul one, coced to outside whiterun, and game works like a charm. Haven't tested all interiors but for now it works. Thank you so much you've saved my entire playthrough. Kudos to you good sir!

EDIT: WELL plops. I looged back in after writing my rely and back to the same old non sense. I'll link my .ini's though, because i have a feeling it's with them as my fire does not show up either.

Something I saw to do while Googling is try taking the ini files out of the main file and the run the game, because it should recreate the files when it starts up. this is the link I saw that on
So do I delete the Skyrim.ini SkyrimPrefs.ini OR my ENB.ini's. Didn't see any specification so do you have any thoughts?

I would try the skyrim ones before the ENB, if this is a problem caused by the ENB then it would probably by effecting your exteriors also but if it is just an interior problem then it is probably caused by skyrim files. Either way though, I recommend deleting the skyrim ones first. Or at least move them out of the folder and onto your desktop.

Hooray! Thanks so much man. It finally worked. As I said before you're a legend.
