Hello community!
A few months ago I got Skyrim and it's one of the best buys I've ever made.
After a hundred hours of modding and a hundred hours of playing, I decided to complete the Steam achievements. Got most of the Dawnguard ones, but I'm having trouble with the one involving Auriel's Bow.
With my main character I have Dawnguard quests completed, so I took out my bow, some Sunhallowed and Bloodcurse arrows, shot at the sun... nothing happened.
Tried the solutions given in a thread in this forum which I can't put here because of some silly posting restrictions and a couple other sites that google pointed out which suggest more or less the same actions, for no avail.
To make sure none of the ~150 mods I have were conflicting, I tried this running a vanilla skyrim and a new game, adding the bow, arrows and auriel's bow spell to the char, still nothing.
Only once I got it to work somehow, outside Winstad Manor; Serana caught fire, but nothing much happened and I didn't get the achievement.
After a while I noticed my arrows weren't "reaching" the sun, they just went up and after a while landed back (noticed because of the sunhallowed arrows little explosion)
Tried spamming them, waiting 24+ hours between tries, different sun positions and weather conditions etc. but nope, nothing.
I also tried tweaking

fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=4096.0000
Which is the effective distance of the bow, after this distance the arrow "disappears" - I had it to 10k or something and turned it back to the supposed default value - nothing.
I've also read that when you aim with it some red or yellow tint appears on-screen, I don't get that either.
Any suggestions? I just want this achievement, if there's a workaround or something it would be mostly welcome.
