My name is Addison, I'm a 26 year old male, and always have lots of time for gaming.

I've recently just started playing Skyrim.
I mean, jeezes, I've got all games in the series but never really stuck to it.
But now, I've gotten farther than I've ever had in Skyrim before XD
And I'm having a blast.
So, I thought I would stick around this community and meet other fans of the series/Skyrim.

I cannot believe what I've been missing out on.
This series is amazing. I'm loving every second of playing Skyrim.
And I cannot wait to meet other fans and look at guides, mods, etc :)

One question I'd love to ask here.
This is a huge world, Skyrim, and it's beautiful and everything.
However, one thing is stuck in my head.
How will I be able to find all these side quests and go out and do loads of exploring?
All I am doing is just following the main quests but I do get a few side quests here and there and complete those.

So, should I try and look for these side quests/do some exploring.
Or just follow the main quests and hopefully pick up a few side quests along the way?

Welcome to the forums! Hope you like it here. :)
As for how to find the quests, well there are a few ways you can go about that. Whenever you enter a town, talk to everyone there. Usually a few of them will have a sidequest or two for ya. Also be sure to visit any inn you come across - talk to the innkeeper; and if the option appears, ask him/her if he's heard any rumors lately or what the latest gossip is. That will usually lead to a few sidequests as well.
Alternatively, you can also visit pretty much any Jarl's quarters or in Solitude the Blue Palace and talk to the Jarl and steward. Usually one of them will have a sidequest.
Doing the main quest or questing in general can lead to sidequests as well however, as can exploring. Usually this happens when you're traveling to a destination (or exploring) and come across a cave, bandit camp or other various locations. Not all have them but some do.
So really it's all about preference. You can look for them or they can find you.
Also if you aren't adverse to having a bit of foreknowledge, you can browse through either UESP.com or the Skyrim Wiki (can't remember the URL at the moment, apologies - just Google it). Be warned though that those sites tend to have spoilers.
Hope this answers your questions. :)
