Hey guys, I am having a problem with the quest Pieces of the Past (DA07). Basically, I accidentally killed Silus Vesuius (000240CE). This was a while ago so I cannot go back to a recent save. Through console commands I was able to resurrect Silus, reset, and restart the quest, however, this leaves the old failed quest in the log as well as the new restarted one. Is there any way I can remove the old failed quest from my log? I prefer not to use mods but if that's what needs to be done, it's no big deal. If it helps, I do not have any mods installed and never have, my game save was originally from my PS3, however I converted it to PC (both games were of the most updated patch).

I don't know that this will work, as I've never had that issue, but you could try to use the completequest command. If you're still displaying the failed and the new, though, it may complete both of them.

There's also setstage, if you want to try to move it past the current point by one stage. I'd use getstage first, to see what the system thinks you have going on. That will give you an idea of whether it is holding one quest or one failed and one active.

In either case, do a hard save first (and then copy/paste your save into a safe folder, as a backup)

This will give you an idea of what the commands do and what numbers they require. There's also a link to the main quests page, where you can get the stage ID numbers if you need them. Hope it helps.
