Yes, juvenile. But it sometimes seems like they wish to turn Skyrim into porn. With the prostitution mod and everything...

381,000+ downloads on that mod. There were once over 5 million people playing Skyrim and logged onto Steam at once, and thats not including console players. Don't get worked up about what 1-2% of people are doing with Skyrim.

I'm not getting worked up, I was just trying to make a bit of a point.

Oh i agree its totally pointless and adds nothing worthwhile to the game. But they've been adding nudity into games since the mid 90s.

I just like to distinguish between the idea of women in skimpy outfits, and prostitution mods. If the skimpy outfit is designed well and fits the personality of that character, its perfectly fine. But sex and prostitution mods are stupid and just about everyone agrees, due to the fact only a small faction of people download them, and I bet half of people downloaded it, activated it to see it, and then probably deleted it.

If people were craving this, BMX XXX would have sold millions of copies and Acclaim might still be in business.

I've no problem with it. I don't have to download the mods, people can download what they want. Doesn't make a difference to me.

Not to mention that female warriors in skimpy armor has been a theme in fantasy writing and art for DECADES. Has no one read the "Maureen Birnbaum" works by George Alec Effinger? Or any of the works of Edgar Rice Burroughs

Has anyone here seen "Conan the Barbarian", Or "Red Sonja"? How about "The Beastmaster", Or "Sheena"?

Such a theme has been around in fantasy themed fiction and art since before Video Games were even around.

To me, and this is just MY OPINION, and not me trying to force anything on anyone, these armor mods we just an extension of this very long standing theme in fantasy themed art

Why are there no skimpy MALE armor mods?

I've seen plenty of T&A, how's a little bit of junk and stuff?

:)

I always wondered just how much protection a chain-mail string bikini could offer, but, frankly, who cares! As long as they still kick a**!

^ I wanted to like too, but all well...

I want to see more D&A, damnit!

Personally, none of it bothers me. Actually I'm all for creativity-- however it comes about. But, just because I advocate doesn't mean I have to possess whatever it is.

More OT: I don't have inclination to use the mods-- even if I could. I actually prefer the kind of armour that fellow posted of Game of Thrones' series. In short, it takes a lot more vision to create a design that both accentuates the female form and has practical application-- and this is disregarding lore relation. I feel vanilla Skyrim did a decent job of this. With a few shortcomings, but decent overall.

Agree.

Speaking of GoT, have you seen the early previews of the new game? It seems to be light years ahead of the old one although it reminds me more of dragons dogma than skyrim.

I just noticed this thread and wanted to put in my two cents.
First of all, let me just say that while I don't use mods - I don't have a PC that can run Skyrim, let alone modded Skyrim - I follow the mod community fairly closely for the day that I am able to run it. I am female and I play mostly female characters. So perhaps I am a bit biased.
Here's my opinion. I don't like the Nexus skimpy armors. I do however support the modders and players rights to have them. Just because I do not personally agree with them or like them doesn't mean I want to have them banned. To me, Skyrim is all about player choice. If a player wants to have a skimpy armored woman by their side in their adventures, fine. If they want to play a skimpy armored female, fine. It's not my game, it's yours. And not that this is always the case, I know it isn't, but I would rather they do something like that in-game than in real life. Maybe they have something to work out. Better they do it in-game than in life.
I do the same. I work out some issues in games. For example I am not physically healthy at the moment, so I like to play really strong female characters. Nothing wrong with that.
So to boil it down, if it floats your boat, have at it. Doesn't mean I have to agree with or like it. :)

Why is Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Volleyball so popular? Skimpy outfits and huge boobs. If you have the ability to make your Skyrim game another version of that then chances are you'll be all over that. I know Skyrim purists are by default, disgusted and offended, but Skyrim appeals to a broad range of players and this is just one of those facets.
