The Scaled Arcanist
Hey guys, for all you pc guys I made the switch from NMM to MO for my choice of modding tool, and it really screwed up my mods, not to mention NMM wasn't showing my current mods, so I decided to uninstall it all and start from scratch. I'm going to remod Skyrim for whats going to be my final playthrough, i'm quite experienced with mods, i've been toying with them for over a year now, and I already have a good grasp on what mods I want, but can anyone make any recommendations for must have mods?

Thanks,

Genocide

I haven't used it yet, but my gf is pretty darn happy with Adura's merchant mod. It makes life a lot easier for her, to bring home loot and just dump it in a merchant chest, pick up her money at the end of the day. I know it's on steam. Not sure about Nexus.

Better Shaped Weapons

I'd use some kind of perk overhaul. I currently have SPERG installed but there are a number of others available.

There are a bunch more (I'm running just about 100 mods) but those are the major ones I can think of.

When in doubt, follow the fox.
I like lore only. I don't like mods that hand you things, such as the chest full of filled black soul gems that respawns every 24 hours. I like to earn things the way the Divines intended.

My must have mods:

Homes: Proudspire manor refurbished; Severin Manor improvements; Breezehome fully upgradeable (the best!) Optional: Whiterun mansion (because it gives you a spell to return there, which works from anywhere, even inside buildings. especially helpful if you do murderwrath's stuff)

Left Hand rings. I don't do armor/clothing mods except this one because of the OP issue. But this one integrates well and seems like a logical thing to have.

Warzones -excellent to bring the war beyond the six guys you have to kill to take a hold. Makes travel fun.

Skyrim Immersive Creatures -really ups the fun with all kinds of scary dudes. I think this also gives you the staff of lesser daedra, which, if you give it to your follower, makes for some cheery surprises in battle.

All of Murderwraths's/MannyGT's stuff, for higher levels. This stuff is TOUGH. The Oblivion realm series: the gate of solitude, Hjakhtraevarr Tomb, Hraghenskaag Labryinths; The Secret of Dragonhead; The temple of black rock, Morthal Pain, and anything else these insane guys come up with.

Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger. So much easier than Frostfall, which I don't care for.

Helgen Reborn--it's good, some stuff I don't like but overall worth it;

Falskaar and Wyrmstooth. Enderal ON THE DAY IT'S RELEASED.

I forgot that one. Better Shaped Weapons is awesome. Totally love it.

Mr Forz

I'm helping. Mostly.
If looking for a general gameplay overall, Perkus Maximus, the true successor to Skyrim Redone, has been released. The latter has been left out because T3nd0 wanted a fresh start with the experience he acquired. The result is a mod that affects the perk trees only (making it compatible with other gameplay mods instead of stepping on their toes) with brand new possibilties.
