I'm not sure about the actual threads and such, but the Shoutbox usually shows signs of life. I think it's the only reason I still hang around this place, honestly. :p

Technically a forums doesn't have legs.

But I can't really say for sure, though threads like this probably don't help inspire the few new people who stumble onto the forums still.

I would say that it is definitely slower, if only because it is such an old game. And if some of your old forum friends are gone then it may appear to be going south.

I don't think it's on "it's last legs". There are still new people joining almost daily.

Like Skies said, it's an older game. So that slows the new member flow, but a lot of the "older" group still hangs around.

It's alive and well, but I guess in terms of human term years... It's having a midlife crisis. Let's go with that. :p

Sure it gets slow sometimes, but there are so many threads that are joined by new folks and contributed to on a daily basis (just look at the list and the dates they've been contributed to!), I'm not sure if it can ever be killed.

I'm here regularly and am often surprised at how many new people actually appear and comment whenever I post a new topic.

Sure, it's a bit slower than a year ago or two years ago, but, don't forget that there have been a couple of new releases recently (SoM and DD-I) that people may be trying out. They'll be back though. We Skyrimmer's always come back, but, unlike some gamers (DD-A an example), we do like other games too!

It's just the Skyrim is our favorite.

When Witcher comes out next year we'll probably lose a few people for a little bit and then they'll be back.

Personally I love this forum. It's not full of cliquey, know it alls that will tell you your stupid if you don't do it their way. I hope we all try to encourage and help each other. I know that's been my experience. :)

Forums don't usually die. Hell, I was part of a Halo forum that was alive for a very long time. It was for the original Halo and continued to be around for years up until Halo 4 came out.

We're still pretty lively to my knowledge.

Are we getting new members? Not necessarily, but the game has been out for three years now. Forums ebb and flow in activity, some more than others.

The response on this thread says enough, me thinks.

Last Legs Lol, don't be a silly billy!

Most ppl pop in once or twice a week, and Shoutbox is always active, though I don't join in due to rare PC access - PS4 internet is annoying to type...

Threads can be revived by 10 year later posters or nearby Dead Thrallers!

Is there anything I can add that hasn't been said or debated? Well Skyrim isn't restricted to corporations looking to make billions or sell 5 million copies to adjust for the budget. It doesn't need an online pass or you don't need to buy all the DLC in order to enjoy the full game. It's why I love it and it's what keeps me coming back when other games infuriate me or just lack the detail. I love Skyrim and this forum. I may not post topics all the time or respond to most of them but I do like reading them and commenting on certain subjects and asking questions to expand my knowledge. I also love the SB cause anything goes. I doubt this forum is going anywhere anytime soon and shame on you for thinking such outlandish thoughts.:p

It's nice to know that even in my "lack of home internet" purgatory that my comrades are keeping up the smartass. So I answer the OP question with a 'no'

Of course one might suggest that the bunch of drunkards (self inclusive) on here night technically mean most of us can't technically stand upright at any point might support the opposite conclusion

Also in a completely unrelated matter, my phone finally forced me to upgrade to iOS 8 and I think Apple should go die in a fire

Mine just finished updating to 8.1.2. Also, agreed.

I get 10 minutes of battery life now. I came infinitesimally close to slamming my iPhone on the pavement
