Possible to slightly alter your own height? No mods ( 360 version )

This has been a topic that some players had considered to be valid, but most people will just go ahead and say ( no you cant change your own height in skyrim, races have set heights, bosmer males being the shortest, male altmer being the tallest.)

Yeah i get that that's not what im talking here...i'm talking about possible glitches that may or may not make your own character taller.

i've seen posts of people talking about necromage perk in restoration tree + vampirism may make u taller because the game considers you as undead and removes the last label of your previous race ( which my case is nord. ) so now let me tell you some interesting facts that may validate my own conclusion.

before i start let me emphasize that i always play in third person mode so i know always when i'm detecting changes, to me first person mode DOES NOT matter because i know first person mode does not look exactly the same way as third person does ( IE if you play as wood elf male and u have lydia as follower, in first person she's straight forwardly staring at your eyes, if u switch to third person she's looking down on you. )

Becoming shorter IS possible in skyrim but only for a amount of time.
You have to do the thalmor embassy quest, now i know some of you may say ( but those are thalmor high elves they are taller than you by default ) yes i get that but that's not the point where i'm trying to get at, even if you have a high elf and you do the thalmor embassy quest, your own altmer will be considerably shorter than elenwyn and the other guards, also, as i took my nord character, finished that quest, left reeking cave and then met with my follower, i went ahead and did some fast travelling and potion selling, i stumbled across riverwood and sold some stuff to the blacksmith, i decided to stay on top of the wooden platform which is firm and stable and i noticed that in equal ground my female nord was about 1 or 2 inches shorter than my male nord.

You probably would guess female nords are shorter because male's are taller in general, that assumption is wrong, in skyrim both male and female nords have the exact same height. so i saved the game and loaded, when i returned to the game my character had gainted the 1 or 2 inches she had lost, everything was fine again, so you can be slightly shorter if you want even if u remove the party boots and clothes and put on your own armor the height difference maintains, untill u save and either load or quit game and return back to it.

Now what i want to know is how do you get to be taller? I have heard people talking about becoming a vampire lord or contracting vampirism with necromage perk may make you slightly taller, and i've heard that it may not work for all races? today i'm gonna try dawnguard for the first time and i'm excited to see if any changes do happen or not, if not i wont be salty i'll juust accept it and move on but i will try to load a few times before i get bitten to become a vampire lord because i'm really intrigued wether it does work or not.

Also i've noticed that NOT every nord is the same height, most women are the same height as my character, and the guards, mercenaries and buffed muscled men are also the same height as me but the elderely ones are shorter and also onmund the college of winterhold mage is also significantly shorter than me and he's a nord which is also very peculiar...

Stand on a chest/Barrel to gain exp towards your Height skill, then when you level use attribute point on Tallness an Buy the Perk "Towering Giant".

Or get Beast form and feel bigger temporarily.
Or wear a pointy helmet with horns to intimidate others.

Or accept the fact your a midget, its cool being small, you more evasive, you can't change it because it is a stat determined by race, unless you have mods.

I'm guessing the Riften face sculptor doesn't allow you to edit weight/height as if I remember tha'ts completely linked to race which you can't change... It's been a while though since I played on console and never had any of the DLC's added until I got on PC

i never implied the face structor as a possible way to edit one's height but yes i do think the weight in skyrim kinda translates into ur own height too, i've noticed skinny characters tend to be a bit shorter like onmund..but my female character has her weight on max, it doesnt look fat though, u cant make fat skyrim characters.

Why is this important? Is height a real determinate to RP?

Just wondering. It seems like a really odd topic. :)

i..fine
it's not relevant but i sorta have a thing for tall chicks u know? and besides..im playing as my best friend who is a tall girl herself so its not much for rp purposes it's just because i wanted her to be a tad bit taller... u.u

Just wondering. It's certainly a different topic. It would be cool if, when the do come out with a TES6 that they include a height and weight dynamic to customization as Dragon Age does.

Of course, with SR - WHO CARES! I just love SR for SR. It's too bad all the dudes end up looking alike and all the ladies too with the exception of race. Oh well. I suppose a blond is a good as a redhead when playing a Nord.

I always wondered though, why are Altmer's heads so small if they brows are so HUGE! The look like pointy eared goombahs. :)

They should allow u to adjust ur height even if just a little bit yea..the fact races have set heights is fine but u could maybe just add a couple more inches to it no harm there.

Of course i love skyrim for what it offers but then we start asking for more..it's only normal.

ugh i hate standing next to altmers..they made me feel puny...specially the ebony warrior..he's half the size of a giant..and he's suposed to be a redguard which means he should be shorter than a nord by a little bit...

It always baffled me that vanilla SR didn't include such a thing. Multiple mods added this quite easily

welp i just tried to get bitten by harkron multiple times and it never increased my height so meh..

one problem however is that now since i'm a vampire my character's skin is burnt it has these brown spots in it, if i turn into a vampire lord it fixes this but i heard that if u go to the face changer in the thieves guild and you remove eyeliner it fixes this, can anyone confirm that?

I dunno about the eyeliner fix. But when my Bosmer was a Vampire Lord for a short while she had her skin randomly turn brown too, which was odd as I made her skin very pale by default. I found out later that darker skin on a VL means they need to feed. Atleast according to Google. So try having your character feed and see if that fixes it.

For me, it is. I am a whopping 5 feet 1 inch tall and can't play as tall characters. Thankfully I play pc and can easily change my character's height. But I was completely weirded out by the fact that my Falmer was at least a head taller then Faendal. Nope. Can't RP that.

Since I'm a giant in real life, every character I play is shorter than me, with the exception of Quannari in Dragon Age. At least then I literally tower over everyone, just like in real life.[emoji12]
