The clan Telnor is a large, branch family of High Elves that reside in the Summerset Isles. They are in great dispute with the Thalmor, as they openly oppose their ways, but carry such political power that the Thalmor are unable to quash their notions. As a pacifist clan, they prefer peace to all else, and as such they specialize in the Illusion tree of magic due to it's non-violent nature. The Telnor clan also loves animals, and they are scientists, wanting to learn why plants and animals are the way they are. Their crest is a deer with a 8-pointed star in between it's antlers. While they do not favour either the Stormcloaks or Imperials, the will often provide intrigue to the Imperials. While they do believe that the Stormcloaks do have there right for tradition, they do not agree with their violent manners of dealing with things and their blatant ignorance towards other races' rights.
The Telnor clan's dispute with the Thalmor first began during the Great War. Although they were originally part of the Thalmor themselves, they split off when the Thalmor began the Great War. The Thalmor tried to control the Telnor with force, but they're advanced Illusion Magics which was far more advanced then the current time's Illusion Magic allowed them to repel the Thalmor. A prime example this is when the Thalmor invaded the Telnor clan house in Cyrodil: three Telnor adepts repelled the entirety of the Thalmor forces sent after them using only Illusion magic. This event is known as 'The Dispelling of the Thalmor.'
