Just wanted to share a little experience I had the other day when I went to the Companions hub to do some sidequests.

Things to keep in mind:

Done all the Main Companion Questline, which means

a) Skor is dead
b) Kodlak is dead
c) I'm the Harbinger

I stroll in, gonna talk to a few leaders for some quests (still got the totems to finish)

Nobody is around so I wait for a few hours and then everyone starts appearing.

I'm eventually gonna become a Necromage, at a point in my game now where the next few levels and things I do, will have huge impacts on my character.

Got to cure beastblood so I can contract Sanguinaris, wave goodbye to Beast form (not good for a Necromancer anyway). Then I can increase the Thrall cap for my thralls, at the lame price of having to feed on numerous occasions (think I can deal with that)

So I talk to Vilkas about progressing his quest till he wants the cure himself, so I can get it - all of a sudden........... SKOR IS STANDING INFRONT OF ME!!!!!

Pretty sure he's supposed to be DEAD! Yet he looks at me and says "What do you want?!"

I recall Thralling him during the Silverblood questline - because of this, it might have had a reverse effect on him after the completion of the Companions Questline resulting in him being revived somehow...?

Kodlak resists any reanimation (not tried Ritual Stone) but that'd be hilarious if he could be revived (though his dissapearance is scripted)

SKOR was supposed to be gone, but in my game, SKOR DEFIES DEATH! he's too much of a badass to let the grim reaper take him, and he doesn't give a damn about Sovengard!

I've had Skor defy death a number of times. It's weird, but doesn't seem to impact the Questline.
You realize, of course, that you do not have to feed as a vampire? Sure, your weaknesses go up, but, when I go vamp, I never feed since it resets your skill bonuses to the lowest level again. Me, I justify it as, when I use my spell (I forget the health absorb spell name), I am feeding. That doesn't reset me. With good fire surpression and a tendency to only be out at night (unless selling stuff), I don't really feel the need to feed.

Hmm, about feeding - I thought the higher level you are (Vamp Stage) that meant that you'd get attacked more at major cities, I'm on Vanilla skyrim, console - Don't want any issues regarding attack on sight.

Thats why I was going to feed often, but your saying by using Vampiric Drain often that prevents you needing to feed?

Not if you have the Dawnguard DLC. They don't even really notice. I'm on PS3 btw. The only time it's an issue is if you assume Lord form and are observed. I've lived as a vamp (not feeding) for many, many levels right in Breezehome and never fed (okay, I lie, I did take a blood potion once while I was at the castle). The weaknesses are higher, but that can be solved with enchantments and absorbing weaponry, but the powers are so much stronger (especially if you have the Blood of the Ancients). The only annoying thing is the sun, but, then again, you are a vampire. It would be annoying anyhow. Try a bloodcursed arrow. Works like a charm, but, I worry that the world is a little grim. :)
Vampiric Drain doesn't qualify as feeding, but I use it as an RP excuse as to why I never suck the life out of others. Sure it takes longer to get your perk points, but I don't mind. I never hit Vamp before level 50 or 60 anyhow.

Skjor isn`t the only Companion who can come back to life.

Occasionally you may randomly encounter a hunting party of Companions out in the wilds.
Or such a party may spawn in an unseen section of a location you have entered
This creates the possibility of a respawn of a previously deceased companion such as Ria , Torvar , Athis , or Njada.
When they have respawned in the wild they will then return to Whiterun

I've seen it a few times. I found Athis killed by skeevers (?????) and took all his goods and he came back to life nekkid!

Except Njada should stay dead, because she's constantly belittling you even as Harbinger. She needs to be taught a lesson, no?

So kill her. I don't think she's essential. If she is, I'm sure we could arrange for an "accident". I just loathe that c***. She's an awful person.
