All I know about the Dwemer stone beds is that I was looking forward to getting one when I bought the house in Markarth. And boy was I upset when I saw that huge nice plump bed waiting for me.
If you are on PC, you can get a sleep-anywhere type mod and just sleep on the floor

I have dovahkiin relaxes and a build your own campsite mods. I love the campsite mod! It really helps to immerse. It took my character 2 days to get to solitude from riverwood (With a lot of detours ;)). And it's nice to let my character and her followers sit next to a campsite with the northern lights shining above them.

Yes, camping in Skyrim can be really great. :D
I have Frostfall that among other thing includes camping, and some of my characters have even been restricted to only sleep outside (unless in a really bad situation). I don't know about camping mods, since I've never used any, but Frostfall even allows you to pitch your tent inside dungeons (the tent itself won't appear indoors).

Skyrim has a tendency to be at its most beautiful on clear, starry nights, when Aurora Borealis put Masser and Secunda to shame. Camping outside on such nights is pure awesome.

I once tried to fill a large display case with nothing but cheese. I'd obtained many large wheels and wedges of splendid quality. You see, draugrs, as you mentioned Raido, do seem to love their cheese. In fact, I've determined that they are Skyrim's foremost experts on the aging, and such. Tis actually the true purpose behind their continued existence as living corpses. Anyway, regarding the display case of cheese... it would always end up on the floor, scattered about. And when I would shut the lid of the case, I'd see cheeses somehow miraculously protruding through the glass lid, which of course completely disrupted the aesthetics of the whole room. By and by I decided one day after consuming an inordinate amount of mead, ale, and sacks of flour, that I'd eat all the cheeses as well. The resultant tasting notes will remain secret, and to someday be unearthed by the intrepid adventurer who succeeds in plundering my tomb. Beware, the Barrow of Kohlar the Unkilled!
I want to find a tomb, put a guardian at the entrance (follower) fill it full of my plunder and stuff and go to the main chamber. The perfect. Retirement for the mighty Kolhar

yeah. giants and bandits. They just love attacking my house for some reason. Bandits I understand. The giant, I don't

Maybe they just want their mammoth cheese back? Should give it to them, unless you planning to offer it all to Sheogorath.

Speaking of giants, I once had a giant come to my Lakeview Manor when my characters two kids were still outside. I managed to tell Blaise to go inside in time but when I turned around to get Lucia inside, it was too late. I saw the giant bring down his club and my characters daughter disappeared for two days after that. Thank God she eventually re-appeared but that was scary.

Wow, I guess that explains that kid I once saw randomly fall from the sky.

HAHAha, the last giant that showed up at my place got greeted by: myself, my follower Jenassa, housecarl Rayya, steward Lydia, bard Lewellyn, (dumb bastard's going to get himself killed one of these days..), and two horses, (the one I was riding and the one I had stabled). Practically had to stand in line for a chance to hit him, though not for long, as it was over quickly. :beermug: Alas, my party was not quick enough to save the cow.

I went on a giant slaughtering rampage the first time a giant killed my cow. It was my favorite cow dammit. Two stewards died getting me that cow.

My Lakeview Manor seems to have an odd glitch where my steward/bard/wife etc only defend my house when I'm not there. I always come home to weapons all over the ground leftover from fights. Any time I have to fight something there no one comes outside to help so it's just me and if I have one, my follower. Just yesterday I was walking to Whiterun and when I got to the stables there, a courier delivered an inheritance letter to me. My steward Faendal had died and I wasn't even home to defend him. Not knowing when it happened I can't reload. Go me, no steward but I got 300 septims. :/

I had a giant glitched inside the walls of Windstad Manor once... I could hear its breathing, and I believe it even showed up when I used Aura Whisper, but I couldn't get to the damn thing. Good thing I didn't even have a steward, so no animals (except my immortal horse).

A long time ago I had a super lucky cow at Lakeview Manor. She survived (mostly by running away, the clever gal) several giant attacks, at least one bandit attack and wolf attacks. The chickens didn't last nearly that long.
I'm pretty sure that was the only time I've ever had livestock... I never get around to "hiring" a steward. I don't use followers, so Lydia is often the only option... and I really, really don't like her. :p

I was doing something then this occurred to me, To make a List of who I think are the most powerful beings in ES history in order from strongest to weakest, well I had that Idea and this is my personal opinion (Some things may seem strange and out order but I intended it like that and I definitely missed several people)

Anu & Padomay > Akatosh & Lorkhan > Alduin as the World Eater > Divines & Daedric Princes & Other True Gods > Dragonborn if he became a Lich > Dragonborn Vampire Lord & Tribunal Member & God Mannimarco > The Nerevarine & Alduin & Dragonborn & Vampire Lord & Pelinal Whitestrake & Mannimarco & Divath Fyr > Ancient Lich & Dragon & Daedric Titan> Ancient Vampire > Lich > Nether Lich > Vampire & Werewolf & Giants > everything else >>>>> Nazeem

If your wondering why a DB Lich is stronger then a DB Vampire lord yet a VL is positioned higher then a lich, from what I have heard Lich's are powered by the souls and that Draconic soul the dragonborn has would give him immense power and a DB Vampire Lord (Do they even have souls?) as for the VL over a Lich, well my personal opinion is that in a location that gave both no drawback or advantage's a VL could defeat a Lich, magic wise they would probably be the same but the VL has a massive speed and Physical advantage so I would wager it would win but if they were both dragonborn that soul's inner power would probably come into play and the DB Lich would probably win. basically lichdom would benefit someone with a unique soul more then Vampirism would and Lichdom would probably multiply his power because of that and not simply add the power onto it.

How do you backstab a Dragon?

There should be more civil-war quests. Occasionally you might be contacted by courier to fight once again for your side. It's just that I enjoyed the quests where you fought a horde of foes along side your own horde, like when sacking Whiterun or Windhelm.
