I also posted this in the Fan Fiction Section, but I need immediate help, so maybe here is better.

Hey Ya'll! This is a bit of an odd topic, but whatever, I like your guy's input.

I am working on an OS and an OFW with its own lore (original story and original fantasy world). Though I am just in the beginning stages of creating the lore, I thought that it might be easier to get some good ideas. So, I would like to ask ya'll about your favorite or most creative race idea. Just share it here!

Now, by no means will I be using any of the ideas for my own use, but it is always easier to brainstorm when you can look at some already brilliant ideas! I will also be posting some of my own ideas here for you guys to judge for yourselves, and maybe give some input.

Thanks!!

Here's one of my characters I'm having a lot of fun with. Here's some of the basics...

Half Dunmer, Half Falmer.
Khajiit caravan bodyguard, bounty/vampire hunter.
Master navigator of Dwemer ruins.

I came about this guy in character creation.
I just wanted to play a Dunmer but he really looks half and half.
Petite build, light skinned, white eyes, small/high nose, low small mouth and chin.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
I like it, but I was asking for ideas from races of fantasy outside of just the E.S Realm.
Have you looked at the Dragon Age and Dragon's Dogma races as well? They have some mighty interesting ones that are unique to them.

Me, I'm a big one for bird races myself. There used to a great one that you could play in the old AD&D days.

Hey! There's a thought, try to get yourself a copy of the old AD&D Monster Manual. There are some very interesting and unique races there.

I have looked at those games. But outside of elves and humans, i dont think taking kunari or something and putting them in my story would be smart. But beast races would be more forgiving.

I like the bird idea. And I remember what you are talking about. My cousin gave me a bunch of his old DnD stuff, so i will rumage through it to find one.

The Qunari are cool. :)

In any case, take a look through the old D&D books and you'll find other stuff too, including lizard, fish and many, many demonic/devilish races that are kind of neat. If you've never read anything my H P Lovecraft, you should, there are some great ideas there too.

I don't know what an OS and OFW is, but, as a published author myself, perhaps I could bounce some ideas off you if I knew what you were trying to accomplish.
