Does anyone know of some really good poison recipes that are fairly powerful at level 81 with maxed alchemy skill that deals instant damage/ lingering damage (or both) with a decent figure that doesn't require me to place 4-5 poisons into peoples pockets (Poisoner perk in pickpocket- making a poisoner, no weapon, build) and the ingredients for them are in abundance (or not completely), but not extremely rare (like jarrin root).

I have looked on the internet a few times but all I can seem to find is Recipes without the figure of damage and don't want to waste time trying them out.

Also are there any fixed places with alchemy enchantment items?

Cheers

Here is a link to an 'Alchemy Recipes Finder'. Fairly easy to use. It comes with a video tutorial on how to use it as well if you have trouble. Very handy tool when grinding levels in Alchemy.

http://rp.eliteskills.com/skyrim.html

Sadly, however, it doesn't give the damage figures. I remember a recipe generator/finder that did that, but it was a long time ago and I can't remember the name of it. I'm sorry I can't be of any more help. I do hope that link I gave you does you some good though.

In Dawnstar, the Apothecary lady has a quest to retrieve her late husband's ring. Sometimes after the quest is done, you can buy it off of her. I think it's either 10% or 12% increase on potion making. Or you can just take it and not turn it in to complete the quest. Your choice.

Also: SPOILER:

You can get a reward item a few quests into the Dark Brotherhood quest line that gives you a ring with fortify alchemy. However you have to do all the objectives of the quest, since it's a special reward.

That's all I can think of at the top of my head. I know a few people on the forums could help you better than I can. Happy poison making! :)

Thank you for that, looked at the Alchemy recipe finder and it shows the "profit" you get back if you sell them, I think the higher the value of the potions/poisons the greater the effects are, so will try those that are listed above the 1000 gold mark.
I was going to do the Dark brotherhood quest for that ring from muiri but the one from that lady sounds quicker/easier, as it seems throughout my skyrim play through i have only ever seen 10-12% alchemy enchantments no matter the level, guess it will have to do and I will just try out the fortify enchanting loop to make a higher one.
Thanks again.

I always find plate mail gauntlets of eminent alchemy in Hamars Cave. It might just be that I always do the Daedra's Best Friend quest at level 11, but they are always in the chest by the alchemy table. They're 17-20%. I do mean every time and that's in over 4K hours and about 40 characters.

If you want alchemy enchantments, try "Hamvir's Rest" near "Silent Moons Camp". Or "Sleeping Tree Camp".

My favorite money making potions are
1. Giants toe, Creep Cluster, Wheat.
2. Blue Mountain Flower, Lavender, Wheat.

Here's a great bow damage potion.
1. Elves Ear and Junniper Berries.

Hope this helped! :)

I will probably have to spend some time and experiment, people will probably have different answers on damage the poisons do due to lvl/perks and enchanted item %.

One last question, does anyone know if I can reproduce jarrin root from the garden/greenhouse from the hearthfire houses?
Thanks for all the answers.

You're welcome! Also no, you cannot reproduce it in a garden. Nor can you with yellow mountain flowers.

Well that takes away the fun of having many of the most powerful poison, Thanks anyway.

Sadly I just noticed from the Alchemy Recipe Finder that all the poisons above 550 base value require jarrin root.

River Betty will always grant the highest Damage Health in a poison. Combine River Betty with anything else Damage Health, Slow, LDH, or Paralysis and you should have yourself a decent poison.

Weakness to Poison concoctions do not take effect until after the first application. So, combining Giant Lichen, for example, with a Damage Health will, sadly, not be as effective until you use a second poison (or have the perk for two hits per vial unlocked). Of course, it still saves space to combine the effects, and a mean poison can be made with the right ingredients.

A good Slow: Deathbell, Small Antlers, Salt Pile
A good Paralysis: Imp Stool, Canis Root, River Betty
A good LDH: Imp Stool, River Betty, Slaughterfish Egg
An all-around excellent mixture: Human Flesh, Imp Stool, Orange Dartwing. Though, Human Flesh is harder to come by, it does have a few static spawns around Skyrim. Alftand is a good source of Human Flesh.

It grows back... and triple health multiplier? I've never really looked at Crimson Nirnroot before. I'll have to check it out.

Yea, I created something before with river betty, forgot what I used, 50% slow for (some big figure, forgot lol) seconds and 183 instant damage. Going to collect more of them.
I know there is some human flesh at castle volkihar on the tables (and around the castle i think?)

Just wish they added more jarrin root to the game. You can roleplay all sorts of builds but they didnt give much opportunity for the poisoner perk to be decent when there isn't much poison that can deal full damage to higher level enemies, and that there was a "holy poison" for vampires/draugr.

Well Jarrin Root originates from Stros Mkia, and Hammerfell isn't really a place people in the Empire want to go to right now. Trade with Hammerfell is essentially cut of right now.

If you're up for game breaking (I'm assuming so since you want multiple Jarrin root to make uber mega poisons), here is a way to duplicate it:

Have a companion
Go to a place like say, Whiterun, right outside Breezehome
Drop the Jarrin root and then tell your companion to pick it up

You probably see where I'm going with this, if not, I'll continue:

Go/fast travel to the stables outside Whiterun, then travel or fast travel back inside the city.
There should be.. Could it be? *gasp* Another Jarrin Root?
???
Profit.

-----------------------

However! Sometimes this doesn't always work. I duplicated my Jarrin root at the Dawnstar Sanctuary (end of DB questline) at the main door. Worked wonders. Just go from place to place and try it. I'm sure you'll eventually get an area that allows duplicating. Happy... uhm... Duplicating!

EDIT: If it's immersion breaking or lore breaking too much for you... pretend you made a special growing potion or spell that duplicates things... :p

...and since Astrid is kind of out of the loop now... I don't expect to be seeing trading of Jarrin Root any time soon. You'd think Delvin would have let you in on that deal with Astrid; but, sadly, that all fell into the muck sponge as so many other things did.

It's not necessarily how much damage a poison does, it also depends on what sort of weakening properties a poison has. For instance using a poison with Weakness to Poison as one of the properties and then following it up with a strong damage poison will devastate anything affected by poison.

I disagree that a Poisoner type build isn't really viable. In fact, the addition of poison use is what prompts me to jump from master to legendary difficulty since my high level poison builds can kill a dragon in the air on Master without breaking a sweat.

Weakness to Poison/Weakness to Magic/Poison Rune/Miraak's Staff= Crowd control at it's finest. Throw in a few Albino Poison Spiders as followers and watch everything melt.

Poison may not be the easiest thing to build around but the gear to exploit it is out there and once you get the hang of it, the game will become too easy, even on legendary.

The best way I've found to get the highest damage out of a combo is to eat or use one of each ingredient, in the damage health list. Then, when I'm making the potion, select the first, then rotate through the second, third, etc., and check out the damage and effects. Don't make the potion until you've been down the list and seen what the various possibilities are.
