Me and my brother are playing Skyrim as I type this. My brother had summoned up a flame atronach when fighting some blackbriar mercenaries with his follower Faendal. They were on top of a rock shooting down at the last guy and then just as he died the atronach burst into a giant explosion. My brother expected to turn around and see Faendal dead as he had just seen that Faendal was just one hit away from death. But somehow when he turned around Faendal was alive!

So I decided to attack Faendal because reasons  (do I need reasons? It was funny to attack him and him yelling at me to stop and last warning but never doing anything because mods). Well, I get a letter from Camilla saying she knows I attacked him but she doesn't care (WTF! Aren't they supposed to be a couple now since I helped Faendal out?) and she wants my help with someone else. When I meet her she asks me to beat up Sven! So I did happily. What a strange strange thing that happened. Of course now it makes more sense to me why Camilla allows those two sods to argue over her and never actually picks one. She doesn't actually like either of them! I think the funniest thing out of all of this was when I went back to Faendal and asked him to follow me he replies with "Hey, I don't want you to get mad at me and beat me up again!" but he follows me anyway. *evil laughter*

I found Slaughterfish Scales in a bucket that was floating in water. When I picked up the scales, the bucket floated up due to its reduced mass! :D
I know it's basic physics, but Skyrim isn't exactly known for its realistic physics.

When I first played the game, it was the journey from Helgen to Riverwood. Now, Forgotten Vale blows my mind time after time. And let's not forget to mention the soundtrack! It's near unbeatable! (Insert feels here).

I was pretty creeped out when that happened, PUT ME BACK ON THE GROUND CAREFULLY AND DONT KILL ME I HAVEN'T SAVED YET! - were my thoughts the very first time it happened.

Just got off Skyrim and wanted to share a few more before I forget.
On my main character, who had just fast traveled back to the Dawnstar Sanctuary to turn in some quests I had kind of a cool one. First of all when she got there there was an awesome sunset. As some of you know the Sanctuary is right in front of the water, and the way the sunlight reflected off of it was just beautiful. And I don't even play on an HD TV!
Well while admiring the sunset she notices something flying around in the distance. At first I think it's a bird and ignore it. Then I notice it's circling the same area - which birds don't do. I look a bit closer and see dragon wings. Great.
So I take off across the water to kill the dragon, as my main character feels personally responsible to slay any dragons that appear. Only when she gets there, it's not just the dragon. It's 4 bandits too. Awesomely enough though, the bandits drew away the dragons fire long enough for me to weaken it - and in the process it killed 2 out 4 bandits. Did me a favor there as I might've been overwhelmed otherwise. Then after finishing off the other two bandits and weakening the dragon some more, I hit it with the Dragonrend shout to finish it off. It lands a distance away and I start running to catch up, only to find yet another surprise when I get there - two giants charging in at the dragon, who proceed to finish off the dragon in three hits between them. Not without a little help from a Fury spell, but hey it was awesome, and I didn't even use the spell until after they were already attacking the dragon. Mostly did it so they wouldn't pay attention to me until the dragon was dead, which worked. That was just a huge wow moment.
After a bit more running around the Sanctuary and after turning the quests in, I decide to load up my Orc two handed warrior save file and play on her a bit. So I do and I have her take a carriage to Riften as I want her to join the Dawnguard among a few other things. Well as I'm sure everyone knows happens when you enter Riften for the first time - she enters the city only to be intimidated - or attempting to be intimidated - by Maul. Well by this point, and after having spent about a week in Windhelm before this being treated badly and ignored by 99% of the population there - she's had enough of this plops. And so have I. She's the goddamn Dragonborn, and a warrior Orc, who is this scrawny little man to intimidate her?! So I save and decide to let a little anger out on Riften then reload. Well I killed Sapphire who came to defend him and then Maul, whose body unfortunately disappeared, but anyway. I look around, ready to take on all of Riften, but nothing happens. No guards attack, nothing. I check my stats menu - no bounty. And I mean I know people saw her do it - she's a warrior, not one for sneaking. She went charging in. So to double check I go up to the next guard I see. And what does he say to my Orc? "Welcome to Riften." And walks off. Like he's saying, "Thats how we do things here." That was just so fitting. Totally amazed. :)

So I wander out of the Jarls place in Falkreth to see a melee in the streets with a dragon. Jump in the fray with all the guards and townsfolk and accidently nick a guard.

The dragin is almost dead but before I have time to even try to yield the mob has decided I am a bigger threat than that overgrown lizard roasting the entire town.

As I lay on the ground to contemplate what just happened I realized a "wow" moment has just occurred. And by that I mean , "wow you bumpkins in this town really are dumb!"

Was that all a result of modding, or is that legitimately in-game? Because that. Is. Awesome. In a funny way.

The only thing that I know for sure that was caused by modding was Faendal just standing there and letting me attack him. The rest is legitimately in-game. It made the love triangle much more clearer to me when it all happened. I guess Camilla liked the attention but never had any desire to be with either man.

Lmao yeah, I think she just relished in the glory of being between two men who both desired her, a similar scenario props up in the Mara quest of Love, I enjoyed telling Klimmek he wasn't MANLY enough for her, especially when he got ME to carry his small fry Supplies 1,000 steps up to High Hrothgar!

I'd rather it be Klimmek than that arrogant jacka**. At least Klimmek pays me a 1000 gold for the little trek I had to take anyhow just for dropping off a package. The other guy is just nasty, arrogant and a pain. He even ignores her after they move to Riften and is still just as obnoxious. Besides, at least Klimmek does something, not just hang out at the bar and criticize how other people look.

Hmm, I guess I didn't really pay attention to the other guy then Lol, I think I just wanted that quest done and dusted, it was in the way of my characters Marriage and getting the "Agent of Mara"

Had an interesting one the other day. I was running around the Falkreath-Whiterun area where the plains are, looking for Shadowmere with a Detect Life spell going in one hand. I had lost Shadowmere at the time and was looking for him (her?) everywhere (yes I have since found Shadowmere thanks to a 30 day reset fix, but I had to give some background lol). Well all of a sudden my Detect Life spell picks up on two big, hulking figures behind a mountain peak. Thinking they're just bandits, I put a Fireball spell in my other hand and go up to pick them off. Only nothing's there. So I move back down the mountain and begin my search again.. Only to hear howling and when I turn around, two werewolves are coming flying at my character down the mountain. At first I think well, I'm a werewolf too so maybe they'll leave me be. No such luck. I proceed to be attacked by two Werewolf Beastmasters. I'm able to kill them - just barely - with an Ice Storm spell spam and a few hits with Dawnbreaker. After defeating them I look around for more and notice where I'm at.. (Spoiler warning!)

I'm right next to the cave where I let Sinding live to get the cleansed Ring of Hircine. Which makes my character and I wonder.. Did we do the wrong thing by letting Sinding live? Has he made more werewolves?
That was the wow moment for me - that my first werewolf attack happened to be right next to that exact cave.
Interesting right? :)

Would you share your little "wow" or "omg really?" or "holy crud that was cool" moments with the rest of us? All those tiny things that go into making this a supremely amazing and deep game.

I had one just recently, something small that knocked my socks off. I was getting into a carriage, and the driver, as part of idle chat, appropriately referenced the weather. An NPC. Noticed the weather. And mentioned it. DUDE.

I know, dumb nothing, but things like that are startling and incredible because of the depth they add to the game.

How 'bout you?
Well mine or probably for a lot of people who's first time playing SKYRIM but anyway it is when you actually KILL not see kill the first dragon because you know how they are and so when you kill it it seems as an accomplishment...

Killing the dragon outside of White Run after retrieving the Dragon Stone. What made it special was how I did it: In sneak mode with archery. It was the single arrow which finished him off and I got a cinematic kill too.

Cinematic kills are Epic! Especially your first Bow kill, WTF DID MY BOW JUST DO THAT? THAT ARROW ARC - did you see that!?!? OMG!
