So I thought I'd make a thread for random posts that probably aren't worthy of starting a new thread for.

So post random comments, thoughts, stories etc etc etc.

Doing a new playthrough and decided to do all the Thieves Guild missions for the first time ever. I love the vendors and little shops it adds to the ragged flaggon. Also the decor of the cistern. Also, first time I went into Pinewatch bandit Sanctuary. I've gone in pinewatch before, but just out of curiosity. never went further. Was such a cool place. Loved the treasure room at the end too.

Every time Balimund says "Only real fire salts will do. The forge knows the difference." It sounds to me like he says "le forge" and I think "of course he knows the difference. He's the chief engineer on the Federation flagship!"

Random enough? o_O

Just what does Jon Battleborn do except lean against Belathor's store all the time? I've never seen him anywhere else in the daytime. Don't his feet start to hurt?

He has an ongoing affair with one of the Greymanes actually. Can't remember her name but my main character had to blackmail him with that information. Try pick pocketing him and look at the letter in his inventory.
Also he hangs around The Bannered Mare at night.. But seeing as the Greymane chick works there, you can understand why. :/

Yesterday I found out something rather interesting.

I used "Push" (a spell that does exactly what its names suggests) on Nazeem, and didn't get a bounty. Nazeem did turn hostile, though.

Out of curiousity, I then used the same spell on a guard.
"40 bounty added to Whiterun"

Later I used the spell on a "Visiting Advisor" (Dawnguard radiant quest target), and again got a bounty.

Conclusion: no one cares about Nazeem, except Nazeem himself of course. :D

Yeh, I found that out the other day. Vampires attacked and killed him. Annoying, as he's the only one I like from that family. Anyway, as I do with every person I like/respect on Skyrim, I looted his corpse. Found a note from (Olivia?) Grey Mane. It was saying about one day they could be together and their families would understand etc etc. Thought it was really cool. I've played this game since release, sunk 1,000 + hours into it and still found something new.

Recently went through Bleak falls Barrow...... again. And let the Dunmer run with the claw this time. I usually just strike him down when he falls from the spider web. Well I'm running after him and hear the gate trap set off. The Dunmer goes flying past me and lands dead. That has been the most entertaining way I've seen him die yet.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Does anybody else enter Bleak Falls through the back door after you complete the quest? I think it confuses the drauger and the bandits, who, for some reason keep respawning? What, is there some sort of cloning factory in there? And why doesn't the Wounded Frostbite Spider ever respawn. I miss him after the initial killing. On my knockabout this weekend, I just kept hitting him with paralyze poison and an iron arrow on a weak bow and continued on, so I'm sure he's still wandering about that chamber waiting for more victims, of course it explains why there are no drauger until you're deep in to the barrow, eh?

Random thoughts
  • Why can't I shout as fast as dragons if I'm Ysmir the dragon of the north
  • Why can't I understand dragon's
  • Where's my pack mule, mule train
  • I can use potions, why can't my enemies
  • Why do I have to find out the hard way that this is a high level dungeon
  • The joy of my enemies ability to do a one hit kill, me? no.

Here's something interesting that I learned since I recently tried the thralling business. I haven't finished the DB line (Destroy the Dark Brotherhood!) because I just don't care to talk to Captain Maro. Well, that seems to have started an interesting quest. When I thralled Veezara I got the "Honor Thy Family" quest which I have to pay Nazir a fine for harming a "fellow" DB member. Funny thing is Nazir is dead. They're all dead.

It's a homage to Romeo and Juliet

Some enemies do use healing potions, and I believe the Falmer use poisons on their weapons.
Yes on the falmer and I agree on the potions since a number of them gain health back and they certainly aren't using healing spells and nobody regenerates health that quickly.

My 'Random Thoughts' thread now has competition...

I knew there was one like this already, but I just thought one for stories and that might be worthwhile too.

I fast travelled to Markarth stables yesterday, and as it was loading though I'd go for a quick slah. Come back two minuts later to hear a dragon. Grab the controller, hit him a few times to take the quarter or so health he had left. Looted him then surveyd the damage. He wiped out three members of that farm family there. I felt really bad. A guard was dead too. The family all wore some sort of jewellery which came to a total of about 1,000 septims so that mad eme feel better though.
