I don't know. Maybe they stopped getting alerts? Andre Marek is creeping, but he told me he's got school stuff to take care of. Or they decided to ditch. I mean, I don't think the guys from our group would, but in the others case....@Aden Komad @Pufftuff @Blitzz what's going on? Have you decided to ditch this? Busy with work/school? Not getting alerts?

I know I said absences need to be explained, but I also know things tend to pop up. Just let me know if you're still interested/able. I don't think it's very much to ask. I don't especially want to leave your characters behind, but I haven't gotten any real problems with it either. Probably makes me sound like a bitch, but oh well. I won't have people hold the RP back because they're no longer interested.

I haven't been getting alerts for this, no, but now that I consider my mounting workload from school, and my multiple part time jobs, and other RPs, it may be best for me to step away from this. I apologize of course but I suppose it's not too bad because I didn't actually get into the story ot interact with anyone so at least im dropping it before I have any effect.

I just gave Aden a jab. But it looks like he hasn't done anything post wise since late september. Might be worth giving him a little time?

At least you've got the common courtesy to respond. And yes, I prefer people would drop out before they get too involved.

We can take it slow for the weekend maybe, but otherwise I think we've waited long enough.

Okay then. And speaking of stalled roleplays, what's going on with the Hunt? Has Bane just given up on it or what? I was kind of enjoying playing as...uh my character.

Well I talked to him last night when we were helping Aethalia with the timeline. He's pretty ticked off about how he's basically gotten everyone trapped in that one bar. I think everyone except Marek and Fellowknights characters are waiting for a response from Simus'. Or I'm wrong, haven't looked at it for a while now.

I suppose we'll just have to continue on without the rest of them. At least we hadn't reached any super important parts of the story.

Ok, so I'm working on a post that'll move us, or at least Marek, towards the last village to be attacked. Did you have anywhere in particular in mind or should I just pick at random?

Well, I figure it's been a while since the war, and a bunch more no name villages have popped up. Pick one at random. Doesn't necessarily need a name. Like, for instance, a small mining village south of Markarth.

I don't know if your still accepting, but it seems like you lost a few people. If so, and you feel like having me, I can put up a CC for a character I've been working on...

Yes, we did lose some people. Put up a CC and I'll take a look at it. Probably won't get back to you until later though. Leaving for work in a few minutes.

(What he looks like when he is out of all of his gear.)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Religion:
The Nine Divines. (While Talos worship is "Banned, he still practices it, although, in secret.)

    Patron Deity:
    Akatosh

Hobbies: Likes to hunt, fish, and is pretty open with people. He loves to drink with his friends. He also likes to scout out places and add them to his personal map. He loves taking care of his weapons, sharpening them, and honing them.

    Family:
Father - Alain Maric (Breton, Deceased), Mother - Morrigan the Ranger (Nord, Deceased), Legal Guardian - Soran Strong-Arm (Nord, Alive)

    Personality:
Jorunn is a member of the Tamriel Ranger Corps. He is a very outgoing person, and tries his best to make others feel appreciated. Upon first impression, he seems like a quiet, lone wolf type of guy. However, if someone takes the time to get to know him, he is actually a caring, fun guy to be around.

    Positive Traits:
He is very caring. He is an expert tracker, able to track things across the different provinces. He is also very good with directions and navigation, as he has his own personal map marked with places that not many people have been to, and with every single game trail and path that the Rangers have discovered so far on it as well. It also consists of all of the known caves. He is able to sneak up on people very easily, as he is light footed, and this lets him make assassinations if need be. He is an excellent climber, able to scale things that most people would consider impossible to climb. While he is excellent with a bow, he is extremely proficient in one-handed combat while using magic, and he also is proficient in Two-handed combat, but only with his Sword variant. His Breton blood gives him resistance to most types of Magic, while the Nord in him helps him to resist the cold better. He is a gifted Magician. He uses his skills in alteration and illusion to enhance his senses, and hide him from others, as well as helping him stay extremely quiet when he moves, if need be. He is adequate in Destruction, however, it usually isn't enough to kill people, so he uses fireballs and lightning as a distraction in combat. He is skilled in Alchemy, as he has to create potions and such while all alone, or on patrols in the wild. He has very acute hearing.

    Negative Traits:
He can have a short temper occasionally. He has a deep hate for the Aldmeri Dominion, and all that it stands for. Jorunn kills any Justicar patrol he comes across, unless he can be restrained. He can be very mistrusting of Altmer, although he is accepting of Bosmer and Khajiit.

    Dislikes:
Liars, Racists, Thalmor, The Aldmeri Dominion, Daedra, Vampires, most of the Forsworn, anything that could hard the innocent.

    Fears:
He fears just about anything a normal Warrior or person would fear. Jorunn's trick, however, is he has learned to harness his fear, and turn it into a weapon unto itself, keeping him on edge in battle.

    Aspirations:
He hopes to one day Marry, and have children.

    Quirks:
He fletches his own arrows. He also doesn't polish his weapons and armor to give them a nice shine. He prefers the look of his armor to seem battle worn, as it could pose as a possible fear factor. Also, a shiny weapon gives away your position when you are stalking someone. He has many different arrow types, as he makes do with what he can. Occasionally, you can see hand crafted ones in his quiver. He finds himself oddly attracted to Bosmer women...

Philosophy: "I swear to up hold the peace through the land, and to protect the Innocent. To strike fear into the hearts of the enemy, both from the shadows, and in the light. I promise to continue to train my body and my mind, never letting it slip from peek perfection. I swear to fight all influences of evil throughout the land, whether they are man made, or of a higher form." (Taken from the Ranger Code, a code that Jorunn still lives his life by.)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gear

Armor: Jorunn wears the typical outfit of a Ranger, as well as a pendant given to him by his dad, which increases his Magika pool and regeneration. The armor is a mix of chain mail and leather armor. It has a hood that is pulled up over his head, and a mask that can be pulled up that covers up the mouth and nose, only showing the eyes. The armor is designed to give the maximum protection, while also allowing one to be extremely stealthy and agile. There is also a medium sized cape on the back, held in place with a pin that is shaped like the Ebonheart Pact Emblem. When a Ranger dies, the pin is removed, and sent home to their family, if they have one. His belt is adorned with the symbol of the Ebonheart Pact, as well as having it carved into his bow and sword.

    Main Weapons:
Jorunn's main weapon is a Ranger Sword, the staple weapon of the Rangers. (It is able to be wielded one handed while Magic or a shield is used in the other. However, the extension on the hilt also allows it to be effectively wielded as a Two-handed weapon. This gives it a lot of versatility, as a Ranger is able to switch back and forth from one and two-handed combat while in the middle of a fight. For example, the Ranger creates a fireball in his hand while still fencing with the sword, and throws it at his enemy. Right afterwards, they could switch to a two handed attack, and drive the blade harder then they could have one handed. His sword's name is Stalwart. His other main weapon is his magic. He is proficient in alteration, illusion. He is also adequate in Destruction.
    em2012004a.jpg

    (Stalwart ^)
    Secondary Weapons:
His recurve longbow, in the Fashion that Rangers use. Each ranger creates their own bow from hand, and it is one of their trials. Jorunn's bow is a hybrid between a Longbow, and a traditional recurve bow. It is the size of a Longbow, but is also Recuvered, with the traditional curve down the middle, and the tips bending over in opposite directions. The extra curves gives the user extra speed and power with his bow. He also carries 3 Nordic knifes, which are a staple in a ranger's arsenal as well, as they are good for throwing due to their balance. He also has a Long Knife made from bone for every day purposes (It could be used in combat if need be).

    Misc:
A satchel, for holding supplies such as food, or ingredients. A Wood Cutters Ax. A torch. A cast iron pot for cooking, and heating things, like water. A horn, which is used for signaling things (Just the uses a horn could have, stuff like that). A small, Whetstone used for maintaining his weapons.

    History/Biography

Brief History of the Ranger Corps: The Tamriel Ranger Corps was founded under the Ebonheart Pact a Millennium before our current time. Made up of Nords, Dunmer, and Argonians, this special force were the commando's of the Pact, specializing in scouting, reconnaissance, assassination, and Guerrilla warfare. As the threat and issue of Molag Bal increased, the Rangers became the main fighting force to counteract his forces, and fight skirmishes, while the main forces of the Pact fought the big battles, and the rivals of the Pact. After the Ebonheart pact was dissolved, the Ranger Corps stayed around, and formed their own sort of guild, operating throughout all of Tamriel. The sigil of the Guild is the same as the Ebonheart Pact, that of a Dragon. That emblem is still used even today. Each Province had a Ranger Outpost somewhere inside it (This would change when the Thalmor came to power. The Rangers retreated out of Dominion controlled territories because they were being hunted by Thalmor Agents.). The Ranger Outpost in Skyrim, which is in the mountain ranges south of Morthal, also doubles as the Headquarters of the entire Corps. As time progressed, the Rangers began to be less like the spies and assassins that they were during the time of the Pact, and more like defenders of Tamriel. After the Oblivion Crisis occurred, the Vigilantes and Urgents of Stendarr were created, and many Rangers volunteered to work with them as guides, Warriors, Long-Range combatants, trackers, and even hunters. During the Great War, the Rangers became an unofficial Military Branch of the Empire, and were nicknamed Imperial Rangers by the Legionnaires. At the end of the Great War, many of the Rangers either were assigned to, or volunteered to work with the Vigilantes and Urgents of Stendarr. At the end of the year 4E 196, the northern Forsworn tribes and the Rangers began to skirmish due to the fact that the Northern Forsworn tribes had begun to kill travelers and the people of caravans mercilessly, no matter their race. These skirmishes became increasingly violent. In 4E 197, the Rangers declared war on the Northern Tribes, and the Forsworn War began. As of 4E 202, after the Civil War's end, as well as the end of the Forsworn War (Which the Rangers were able to win), the corps began the work of rebuilding themselves.

    Childhood:

Jorunn Maric was born to the parents Alain Maric, and Morrigan the Ranger. Morrigan was an Imperial Ranger, and before that, a member of the Ranger's Guild. Alain Maric was a Breton battlemage, who was assigned to he Ranger squad during the Great War. The two fell in love, and after the war ended, they both retired from the military, moved to Skyrim to live in Markarth, and were married. On the 27th of the Last Seed, 4E 177, Morrigan had her first and only son, whom she named Jorunn after the Nord Leader of the Ebonheart Pact. When Jorunn turned four years old, his Father gave him an amulet that had run in the family, however, soon after, he was killed while walking home from his job at the tavern by a Vampire, who drained him completely. All that was left was a withered husk. Jorunn was very upset, and wouldn't eat or sleep for days. After a year had passed, Jorunn was beginning to return to normal. His mother had began to train him with weapons, both the bow, and a small dagger. At the age of six, his mother was recalled into service with the Rangers, and she took Jorunn with her, and left for the Ranger outpost near Morthal (Which was a good thing because the Forsworn were mounting to attack Markarth at the time, which is why she had been recalled.). There, she gave him into the custody of Soran Strong-Arm, the current leader of the Rangers. Soran had trained Morrigan himself, and was honored to have been given custody of her kid. It was not long after this that his mother was killed by the Forsworn. Jorunn received her pin, as was custom when a Ranger dies, and he was her only family left. So it came to be that Jorunn would be raised as a Ranger, with the Rangers.

    Teenager:

Jorunn began to learn of his Magical abilities at age eleven. Soran, who's fighting style is what Jorunn uses to this day, decided to help him learn how to control his magic, along with the resident battlemage who stuck around the Outpost. Jorunn soon became proficient in his magical abilities, learning how to harness and control them. During this time, he was also learning from the Battle Master, who taught knew recruits how to fight with the Ranger weapons, and Soran how to use a sword. He also became very proficient in the use of Bows and throwing knives, however, he still preferred to fight up close and personal. During his teenage years, he was trained hard, learning to sneak, blend in, use his spells, and specialize in sword and magic combat.

    Adult:

By the age of seventeen, he had become a gifted and talented warrior and scout, being able to sneak up on just about anyone, as well as being extremly agile in combat. He was remarkably silent when he walked, even when he wasn't training. At age eighteen, he officially joined the Imperial Ranger Corps, having finished all of his trials, and making his own bow. His first assignment was with a fellow Ranger named Katrina, a Bosmer woman that was twenty two years old, who he had been in a romantic relationship with for two years now. They were assigned to Patrol the Markarth Territory. The two Rangers stumbled upon a caravan of supplies being moved from Markarth to Solitude under attack by a group of seven Bandits clad in black. Katrina pulled out her bow, and started to climb a tree while Jorunn pulled out his sword, and charged at the Bandits. As he charged in, he gripped his sword two handed. One of the bandits happened to turn, and see the silent man running at them, however, before he could get off a word, and arrow pierced through his throat. The man stood there for a few seconds, and started to stagger, then bent forward, but not falling down yet. Jorunn lowered his shoulder, and bulldozed the man, an audible crack being heard as Jorunn's shoulder made contact with the mans head. The other black clad bandits, turned to face the new threat. Jorunn chopped at the thighs of a bandit, and his blade slid into flesh. The bandit grunted, and started to fall forwards, but an arrow instantly struck him in the eye socket with so much force that he fell backwards. Katrina had jumped out of the trees, and was heading to the battle as Jorunn rolled forward on his shoulder, using his momentum to pull his blade free. When he came up, he had a knife in his left hand, which he had pulled from his belt, and his sword in his right hand. He threw the knife, and it struck one of the Bandits right in between the eyes. Hearing a noise to his right, he rushed his right arm, with the sword, straight out to the right, and caught another bandit in the throat, while it didn't decapitate her, it lashed into her throat. Jorunn yanked the blade back out, and the body fell down in front of him. As he turned to engage in a duel with a bandit to his left, he sent a ball of lightning at the person he was dueling. While it didn't kill her, it distracted her long enough for Jorunn to spin around in a circle, and with two hands on his sword, decapitate her. Katrina by this time had put her bow away, and had pulled out two daggers, and engaging the second to last of the bandits, who was wearing a red garb. The last one was running away, and Jorunn sheathed his sword, and pulled out his bow. He grabbed three Arrows from his quiver, and notched them onto the bow, drew the string while aiming, and released them very quickly. Two of the three arrows found their mark, as one hit her in the back one the neck, and the other in the back of the head. Jorunn smirked, but suddenly behind him, there was a scream. Jorunn turned, and Katrina had stabbed the final bandit, but the Bandit had pulled himself farther down the blade, and was now biting her on the neck. Jorunn notched another arrow quickly, and released it at the final man. The arrow proved true, and struck him in the neck, entering one side, traveling all the way through, and exciting out the other side. Katrina pushed the dead body off of her. "They were... Vampires!" She exclaimed. Jorunn put his bow away, and made eye contact with her. "I've been bitten." She stated simply. Jorunn saw her hand tighten on her blade, and he lunged for her. "No!" He screamed, but he wasn't quick enough. The Bosmer woman slit her own throat, and fell to the ground in a heap. Jorunn fell to his knees next to her body, and cradled it for a few seconds. Then he removed the pin from her shoulder. As Jorunn bent over to retrieve the knife he had thrown at one of the vampires, the survivors from the Caravan attack came out, and thanked him for saving there lives. Jorunn just nodded. As the Caravan left back towards Markarth, Jorunn picked up Katrina's body, and moved it off the road. He gathered some twigs, and used a spell to set them on fire. Katrina's body was burned on a makeshift pyre, and Jorunn returned from that patrol down a partner. The Vampires had struck again. Two years after this, the Forsworn War began. Jorunn took part on almost every major battle, his adaptability in combat, and his command skills began to show.

    Civil War and After:

Five years after Katrina's death, Jorunn had risen to the rank of Captain in the Ranger Corps. Almost immediately after his promotion, he was transferred back to the Reach. The Forsworn had launched a new Campaign, and were attacking caravan's throughout the hold, killing everyone, but leaving all of the supplies behind. For the past three years, the Ranger Corps had waged war on the Northern Forsworn tribes, and while they were slowly beating them back, it didn't feel like it. The fighting was absolutely brutal. Many Rangers were killed in battle, and even though the Forsworn were taking their fair share of casualties, they could replace warriors a lot quicker than the Rangers could, due to the trials for becoming a Ranger last a year at the least, and that doesn't count the Recruits that are not ready to fight yet, that are training for their Trials. While the Rangers were saving peoples lives, less and less men and women wanted to join them do to the staggering brutality of their war with the Forsworn. For another year, Jorunn was on the front lines of the war. With the arrival of General Tullius from Cyrodiil, it was assumed that the Rangers would be relieved, however, they soon realized Tullius was here to combat the growing Stormcloak Rebellion. When Tullius asked for a few experienced Rangers to help his soldiers, Soran assigned ten to help Tullius, including Jorunn, who was pulled from the Front lines of the Forsworn War to help in the new conflict, now being called the Civil War. As the year progressed, the Rangers helped lead the way to Imperial victories by leading the Legionnaires through game trails, and mountain passes that most people didn't know of. They also raided Stormcloak supply lines. In 4E 201, on the Frostfall 13th, the ten Rangers assigned to work with the Legion against the Stormcloaks captured Fort Kastav, the Fort above Windhelm, all on their own. The stories of the Ranger exploits truly began to spread during this time, as they were working side by side with Legionnaires, who took their stories of the Rangers back home with them. As of 4E 202, the Stormcloak rebellion was put down, and the Empire had taken Windhelm, and killed Ulfric Stormcloak. Jorunn and his fellow Ranger who had fought in the Civil War returned to the Ranger Outpost to find that the Corps was in trouble. The war with the Forsworn had practically ended in the year that Jorunn was gone. The Forsworn were beaten back. While this was good news, the Ranger Corps had suffered greatly. There were only twenty active members left, including the ten that came back with Jorunn. Soran was glad to see that Jorunn had returned from the Civil War, and Jorunn was then Promoted to Master Ranger, Soran's second in command (His previous second in command had been killed in the Forsworn War.). So it came to pass that the Ranger Corps would slowly start to rebuild itself. In 4E 205, reports of strange mists in Markarth that abducted citizens were heard by the Rangers. Having heard of a call for Mercenaries, Jorunn was dispatched by Soran to join with the Mercenary group, and discover what was happening in the Reach. So Jorunn set off to find and join the group. For Jorunn, this was a personal mission, as Markarth was the city that he was born in.
