I can't stop this. I never kill a dragon with a weapon because I always get eaten. I mean the dragon always picks me up and throws me if I get too close. I always use bows or spells. But I want to use weapons.
How do I stop being eaten?

How do you backstab a Dragon?
Don't approach from the front. I usually come up from behind or the side (they can't turn very fast). I look for a distraction to keep it's attention (I use antronachs a lot or the occasional corpse - I don't really use followers, but they work too). You're faster too so you should be able to dodge.

I can honestly say I have never actually been picked up and eaten by a dragon, but, then again, I'd rather hit it's butt than it's head anyhow. :)

If a dragon is so powerful that he could kill you in one or two bites, his killcam can be activated even after you take little damage. So basically you need to have a full healthbar..

I tried approach from the side. Still happens. I may have came from behind too. Weird thing is, it happens more on PC.
I have played PS3 too, but it doesn't happen as much.

I play PS3 so that's my reference point. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Do you have mods installed that make dragons more formidable?

When in doubt, follow the fox.
You have to conjure up a distraction that won't die easily. I like ash spawn or Dremora lord at higher levels. I think your armor rating and perks taken might help, too. I find I don't get shaken like a ragdoll after my armor rating gets to a certain point.

Become Ethereal works wonders, especially if you manage to get to the point where it "recharges" faster than it wears off (100% achievable without exploits).
Also, simply attacking the dragon from behind or the sides, and always moving when it tries to turn its head towards you.

I always fight dragons from a distance unless I have a seriously high armour rating. Even then I rarely go melee, and when I do I most certainly make sure to use a shield!
You haven't mentioned if you use any dragon mods, or what difficulty you play on. I can say that even though I always play on Adept, using the amazing Dragon Combat Overhaul together with Deadly Dragons makes fighting dragons in melee extremely dangerous. Downright suicidal at low levels.

I usually throw magic and arrows at dragons and let a follower or conjured follower tank them while I do. If I get hit, I strafe run and use Fast Healing. Then when the dragons health is low enough, I equip Dragonbane and attack it from the side or if it's health is low enough, the front and finish it off. It's pretty effective but that's only if you're a mage. :/ On my warrior characters, I let my followers tank them and then do pretty much the same thing minus the magic. You could try doing it this way as well or do what the others said, which is just as effective. :)

Either you're playing at too high a difficulty or you don't have sufficient armour/health.

They only pick you up in their mouth when it's the killing blow, if you like.

No, no mods for that. Is there any such thing?

I have never been "picked up" by I dragon, but I have been bitten and it wasn't a killing blow. If it had bit me again, it would have been, though.

The way I have been fighting dragons currently is by shooting at it with my bow (It would probably be easier if I remembered to switch to more powerful arrows, though. :D). I just shoot at it until it is too weak to fly and it crash lands. Then I shoot at it some more. :D
Also, I conjure up a Flame Atronach to help with the fighting. They are GREAT! Saved me from a giant one time!

The only other thing I can suggest is just staying far away from the dragons mouth and shooting arrows or magic at it. I've never heard of a glitch like this, though I suppose it's possible. Try getting better armor and weapons and as I said, followers are nice to have around as tanks and to distract the dragon from attacking you. The best tanks are Essential characters; Mjoll the Lioness of Riften is one, and Cicero from the Dark Brotherhood is another, though Mjoll makes the best tank so far as I know. Any other follower you'll have to spend time healing and buffing which is difficult in a dragon battle. Try upping your health when you get a level up. And be sure to be fully healed before even trying to approach a dragon. Health potions are your best friend.
