Here's a small thing that was still amazing to me which happened while playing Skyrim last night.
My character was in the Dwemer ruin where you return the Lexicon the Argonian woman in Riften gives you. You know, the one that gives you the passive skill "Ancient Knowledge" at the end, with ghosts? Well I had Mjoll the Lioness as my follower so she was with me the whole time. As I'm looting one of the tables inside the ruin, Mjoll kinda looks around with this pained look on her face and says, in a spooked tone of voice, "I almost died in a ruin like this."
Not a moment before she had been saying her typical dialogue about how her father wanted her to be a hunter etc, then this. I was just amazed that she even recognized she was in a Dwemer ruin. Just amazing!
And another one, with Mjoll the Lioness as well, although not a wow moment per se but an amusing one nonetheless. I had just finished outfitting the Armor Mannequins in the Armory in Lakeview Manor. One of them had on a set of armor identical to Mjoll's default set, mostly as a placeholder until I could get a better one moved to the house but anyway. She walks up to said Mannequin, looks down at her own armor, then looks all the way up and then all the way down the Mannequins matching set, with a finger on her chin in the "Hmm" expression. I dunno but to me it seemed as if she recognized it. Next thing I know she just leaves the room.
But still, amazing right? :D

so my most recent wow moment was when I gave Faendal the Seguine Rose to hold on to since my current character really doesn't need it. I just like it. And he used it! So I let him keep the rose. That dremora really does help out being a tank with two Bosmer archers backing it up.

Call me slow but I only just found out you can have the Dragon Aspect shout while in Werewolf form. Man it is so cool! You don't have the armour but your fur glows orange. Your attacks are stronger and when your health goes below 50% you still have your dragon spirit come and fight for you. Team that with the perks in the Werewolf tree and The Ring of the Hunt (Health regenerates) and you're an unstoppable beast. Very awesome.

What! I didn't know that! My warewolf could have used that while terrorizing the Reach. Guess she'll just have to do it again. :p

Just had kind of a wow moment. Call me stupid but I never thought about Forsworn having kids before. Maybe it was the magic they do, I'm not sure. But I was just clearing out Deepwood Redoubt/Deepwood Vale and stumbled on a little boy in a tent. I was shocked but then realized it made sense. I didn't attack him of course but he was a fierce one, because he drew his sword just like any other warrior.

Also anyone else notice how beautiful Deepwood Vale is? Or is that just me?

It's good when your followers use items you give them. Especially if they are more inclined to use magical items like scrolls and staffs. I know when I give scrolls to Valdimar he will always use them at the appropriate times :)

On the other hand....

I gave Lydia a staff of Chain Lightening. We are forever banned from ever mentioning the "Bunny Incident of 2013"

Yeah, it's nice! It's like he knows when the best time to use the rose is. He doesn't always use it but if we're in a tough battle he'll throw his bow, take out the rose, and summon the dremora. Or if he thinks a tough battle is ahead he'll let the dremora out first. Like at the end of Kilkreath temple. (off topic: I just noticed after doing that quest at least 5 times that all the desecrated corpses are imperial and stormcloak soldiers).

But he won't use the healing potions I gave him! o_O

So Belrand just called me "little elf". This was a huge wow moment for me since in my fanfic everyone calls Rhew "little elf". On top of that, this is the first time I've actually heard someone say little elf in the game. Too bad I'm playing my Bosmer character right now. :p

Loads 4 me, first time in blackreach, Faendal saying to my nude orc " next time, you might want to think about putting on some clothes before you leave the house!" hearing dremora voice 4 first time, falling off a cliff on my horse Frost but somehow surviving with low hp only to look on sadly at the horses corpse. Got some leather from its hide tho. And that derkeethus quest - I remember liking the area you find him at because it had nice visuals, can be easily missed.

I just started a new character and was doing the very first Companions quest "Trouble in Whiterun", where you have to go rough-up one of the locals. I was so very excited when Farkas told me it was none other than Nazeem. I pummeled that pompous ass down to the floor while his wife stood there hurling insults at him. It was the most fun beat-down ever.

I just got the DLC, so when I walked into Fort Dawnguard, I was just like woaaah. Same when I first got to Solthsteim. It just looked so cool.

If you play on console, Amazon has all three DLCs for a little over $20. It's a good deal. I could get you a link to it if you want; I bought the DLCs that way and it was totally worth it. If you play on PC though, Skyrim Legendary is probably worth it; however they also have a new one for PC out that includes all of the Elder Scrolls games. If I played on PC I'd get the latter ASAP. :p
Also when you play Dawnguard - if you play on console - do NOT join the Volkihar vampires halfway through. Join them after completing the Dawnguard quest line if you want. Otherwise there's a glitch where you get stuck with all three Elder Scrolls in your inventory with no way to get rid of them. Adds 60 pounds to your inventory. I had it happen to me and it sucks. :/

I had that happen to me too! I play on PC so I guess I could use a console command to get rid of them but when I finished on the Dawnguard side and finished the main quest I was only able to get rid of the dragon elder scroll.

Oh wow, and here I thought it was only if you joined the Volkihars midway through that that happened. That sucks! ): I seriously hope they come out with a patch to fix this soon.

Once walking from my dawnstar house to white run I saw a few bandits fighting with a giant. One went flying into the air and the others... Well they got stepped on.

A fought an Enhanced Mighty Dragon 100% melee, and solo. The first time I've NOT used archery against a modded dragon.
Thankfully Dragon Combat Overhaul didn't feel like destroying me that time; no limit break, no reinforcements.

I truly felt like the :Dovahkiin:

Oh the wow moments I've had. Well I'll start with my favorite.

I think my character was level 15 at the time. I was doing a companions quest and I was fighting the silver hand. While my companion stood back and shot arrows at the guy (Glass arrows. I've started a glass arrow farm, giving one of my glass arrows to each of my followers and then picking up the ones that miss or the ones that let me loot them. I started with 12 arrows that I found in a bandit cave. Now I have 72.)So I was going all out on this poor guy. He backs up. In this chamber their was a pressure plate that's connected to one of those moving wall of spikes traps. He backs up into the pressure plate. The wall sweeps him away and misses me. I laughed so hard.

I remember when I first got Skyrim and watching my brother play it. LOL! He made a khajiit and when he went to Riverwood...he killed the chicken. And then after the town murdered him and he reloaded he derped around for a bit and then killed Camilla while she was giving him directions to the Barrow. Then he killed Gerdur. Then he ran. And the first time we saw Whiterun was a real big wow moment. It took half an hour to find the wall.

Another time was when the guard just killed some bandits. The one of the guards turns to me and says "I mostly deal with petty thievery and drunken brawls. Been to long since we had a good bandit raid."

I could go on for hours. I've spent so long playing that game.
