When I married Vilkas, a few peeps came.
All my housecarls,
Aela the Huntress,
Farkas,
Erik the Slayer,
a werewolf. (idk why a werewolf showed up! Lol)

A warewolf! That's awesome! Was it Sinding maybe? And none of my Houscarls came to my wedding. Maybe because I never interact with them?

Idk, cause all I did with my 'carls was just let them walk around the house with sophisticated dialogue.
And yeah, it was awesome with a werewolf at the wedding, but when we said our vows, the raspy breathing destroyed the moment. Lol!!! And I don't think it was Sinding, because I killed him in the quest. (Ahhhhhhh, I feel so terrible!!) I figured it was one of the Companions, but as I already said, the werewolf recruits were there in their humanoid form.
Therefore, I have no idea why a werewolf showed up. Still, it was cool!

I married Sorex Vinius
Laila Law-Giver, Sorex dad, Laila's housecarle, Jarl of Markarths housecarle (i think.. loooked like her but it couldve been Eona..heads gone blank on the face) and Calcemo, and my follower Ahtar...

then captain aldis showed up, he was banging on the glass yelling my name.. we got on the back of a carriage and stared at each other while the bards Simon and Garfunkel played us out... very romantic. *sigh*

My character married Mjoll the Lioness, so of course Aerin showed up, as well some blonde Nord woman Mjoll spoke with right before the wedding. I forget her name now but I know I'd never met her before. Also a few followers of mine, Faendal and Uthgerd the Unbroken. The old lady beggar of Riften showed up as well at mine; she helped me on one of the Thieves Guild quests so I didn't mind that so much. The merchant dude of the Riverwood Trader and his sister showed up as well. I think that was it. I would've thought Maven Black-Briar would've shown up atleast, especially considering she wouldn't be Jarl of Riften without my characters help. :/ But no. No TG members or DB members, no Companions, but then I hadn't finished the sidequests for the TG yet and I didn't finish the DB quest line until afterward. Same for the Companions. Would've been nice though.

The last wedding I had the vigilant of stendarr (the one that asks about the house in Markarth) was at mine. I didn't do the quest, instead I just told him sorry I can't help him. I was surprised to see him there.

The wedding before that the jarl of Morthal attended it.

"Married" is one of the achievements I have yet to unlock... all the posts in thus thread have definitely made me look forward to possibly some day getting to that point. :)

The lover's comfort perk is nice. And the home cooked meals can be handy too :)

I had a new character marry Quintus Navale today. Level 27, midway through main quest, done the Civil War questline for the Imperials and a few misc quests, mostly in Whiterun.

Lydia came, which made sense. She is my only housecarl and first follower.

Jarl Kraldar also came, which at first confused me but then I thought made sense. I had talked to him once, and it is because of me he is now Jarl of Winterhold so it was a nice way of showing his appreciation.

And Hemming Black-Briar came, which still confuses me. I never talked to him once. Possibly he is also grateful he is now the steward and son of the new Jarl of Riften thanks to me.

It's just...I decided to get married in Tavern Clothes and a circlet, so I have a horrible suspicion Hemming and had the following thought process when he saw me: "Ooh, I want a piece of that! I'd better follow her and strike up a conversation to find out who she is and what would be the best way to get her into my bed. Not going to the marketplace? The temple of Mara? The religious type then...#$@! She's getting married! Right now... I'd better sit down and pretend I was coming to the wedding or this could be awkward."
