I call my players "Jackall" because that's who I am :) If not it'll be something "Olaf the Headsmasher" or "Alka the swivelling soldier" or "Drau' A the sneaky"

On page 1 of this thread I said "Speaking about names I might create the guy in my avatar so I best keep my word and here he is, I present to you Mannimarco the King of Worms recreated by myself, Hanging out in Windhelm with about 20 undead thralls following him that are not in the picture.

My characters have stupid names.

The first one is Captain Elsweyr, but that's his alias as he's inspired by Captain America. His true name is Ri'Renrij. Ri is the most honorific prefix a Khajiit who is not the Mane (the leader of all khajiits) can get, and Renrij means a vagabond or an exile. So his name means "the great vagabond" in Khajiit tongue. He has albino fur, which is an omen of great adventures but terrible tragedies, so that's why his parents have called him that way.

My second character is called Arrande Taarrin, but then again, it's an alias. She's an illusion mage, she hides everything about her, including her identity, as it might jeopardize her plans. I used an internet altmer name generator to find a first and last name that sounded cool.

My third character is called Thor Heart of Thunder. I wanted to basically make the elder scrolls version of Thor : he fights with a mace (Mjollnir), has enchanted armor, can control thunder, has been banished from Sovngard (instead of Valhala), and needs to regain his honor. Basically already an elder scrolls character, even the norse name sounded nordic already so I kept it.

Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
My current active character is Malkjar the Malignant. In reality, he is a jovial lover of battle and humor. He is terrifying to look at, (that's not him in my avitar pic). He's called the malignant because of his tenacity for killing any who get on his bad side.

My diversion character is Kahn Kranium Kruncher. An Argonian who's name was given by his owner in order to mock him. After Kahn escaped slavehood, (and krunched his owner's kranium with a mace), he retained the name. He is out to destroy all of Skyrim. His only allies are the inhabitants of Solstheim, and (for now), the college of Winterhold. He is a follower of Namira and his kindred spirit is his follower Eola, who he protects at all costs. (Btw, I just noticed that Eola is one b short of Ebola..)

Current is Snauks LeRosse. Took part of my username and part of a friend's name, and moved the vowels either one forward, or one backwards (A > E, E > I or A > U, E > A)

I name my Imperial Perseus because it feels like he is a Demigod, being given powers by a god or being the son of a god

My current main character, a Nord spellsword/barbarian-type deal, is named Burd Desrochers. I recently played through Oblivion's main quest for the first time as a Breton named Guy Desrochers (Pronounced "ghee", 'cause Bretons are all French and stuff). Guy settled down in Bruma, so his bloodline got a few Nords mixed in here and there, and his great-great-great-etc. grandson, Burd, is a result of that. He got named "Burd" after Bruma's guard captain circa the Oblivion Crisis, who was a Nord.

I plan to call my Dark Elf character "Arkan Nylvarys" (no meaning). Problem is, I don't know if that sounds proper for a Dunmer. Help, please.
how about Arkan Sedras, that is a dunmer name from House sedras, few people know of that is one of the great House's of Morrowind, more specifically the great house that replaced house Hlallu as a ruling house of Morrowind in the early 4th era.

I would need more information on the House, as I planned for him to be a former member of House Redoran.

Might call him "Arkan Sedrys", however, as I like the ring to it. Does it sound Summer?

not much to go by except they came about in the 4th era when house Hlallu fell they took it's place as a leading house, also you could call them Arkan Redoran after house redoran

Benthos

Proud Mer
I made some traditional names within the lore for each race, after ancestors, as well as using names coinciding with fictional characters of mine. I named a Khajiit "Malkav" - pronounced 'maul-kav' (like cavity) after my pet cat when I was still in school. I named my latest Dunmer "Lerniir" which is just Learner since he was to learn all magic fields and become an Archmage, already have 100 for Conjuration, Destruction, Enchantment, Alchemy (just in case), and the rest so far are - Alteration 88, Illusion 71, and Restoration 28. Still need to learn what are some good grinding tips for restoration.

Reading this makes me want to think my name over. Properly this time.
Am a Nord. First time, I just went with Astrid, I like the name and it means "divine strength" but it so happens to be the name of the Dark Brotherhood leader...

So second time around, I took the name Helga (basically the second name in mind after Astrid and before Heidi). I should think these through. :/

What's a good surname?

My fave Oblivion CoC was a redguard named Deus ex Machina. I can't believe I've never reused that in Skyrim, I must rectify that post-haste.

I don't play him often, but I have a Breton mage named Fizban. everybody worth their salt knows that bat guano is needed to cast a fireball. Because Fizban.

Rhew

The missing snow elf
I have 3 main characters

Pangur Ban
My female Khajiit was named after the cat from the old irish poem "Pangur Ban". She's a loner assassin vampire who finds theft despicably coward.

Takel'var
My Argonian who was raised by Bosmer when the ship his family was on crashed. Takel'var means "reptile" in elvish so his family was very creative in naming him. A traveling merchant who got into trouble smuggling skooma he began spiraling out of control first joining the thieves guild and then the dark brotherhood before finally going on a rampage killing vampires (after his close friend Brand Shei was killed by one). He is now trying to clean up his act by becoming the dragonborn everyone needs and adopting children to get them out of the cold and into a warm bed.

Rhew
My snow elf. Rhew is Welsh for frost. She woke up next to an unconscious imperial with amnesia right before being taken by the imperials for "harming a soldier". As her memory returns she remembers that she was a dragonborn before the civil started. A few hundred years ago she and her imperial follower were crossing the mountains when an avalanche started to crash on them. In order to save them she froze the two of them. It was when they thawed out that the imperial soldiers seized her for being part of the storm cloaks.

character is 'Felver' (altmer & nord) Hungarian for 'Half Breed' (sounded cool). her mother was an altmer *cough*elenwen*cough* who was forced give up the child because of the nord blood *cough*ulfric*cough*. She was basically raised between bandits, animals, and some old biddy in the woods.
