My main character was a Nord named Isara Snow-Song. Isara is a Celtic name that means "bright river" & it's also the title of one of my favorite songs. And Snow-Song is just a Nord clan name that I thought sounded cool. :)

I know that song! It is really good!

My character's current name is J'kobi. Because my real name is Jacob, and while most people call me Jake, my mom used to call me Jacobi for some reason, and my friends used to use it, too once that found out about that, so I figured, it would be a fitting name.

A few years ago I spent some time listing real life names with a religious or mythological origin, and creating an Elder Scrolls universe equivalent based on the Nine and Nirn history. I wish I could find that list *sigh*

My longest-used name from that list was Talin, Talos-based version of Thorin.

My current character (and most used) is called Rinfir Strong-Arm. The Strong-Arm part is self-explanatory, given he's a Nord and that's kind of his specialty, while for Rinfir, I went for something that sounded vaguely Nordic. I also perused an older website detailing Nord names from Arena and Daggerfall, so there's that as well.

My primary Nord character's name is "Ván Drekin".

In Old Norse, "Ván" means "Hope", whilst "Dreki" means "Dragon" (the latter, "Dreki" is not on the page I referenced. I merely saw it as commonly referred to by numerous sources). "Dreki" is modified for "Drekin" just because I prefer the sound to it :p. So essentially, it means "Hope Dragon" ( -> "Dragon of Hope"); matches the well-known "Dragonborn becomes King at the end" story, especially in the current time of TES, when practically all of Tamriel is in disarray.

Drayven Aren. Just a combination of the Archmage from Skyrim, and a Nightingale from the Third Era :p

Savos Aren and Drayven Indoril

LuChao

The Martial artist
my main male builds I usually name Lu Chao which means Infinite Life I took it from Lu Bu and Ma Chao :D cheers to those who know them

Mewness

Trans-Neptunian Object
My last character was a Khajiit named Fist of Furry. It means that he has fists and that they are furry.

Um, yeah. I'm not so great at this names-with-meaning thing.

Person of Interest
My Orc's name was Torak, after the maimed God of Angarak from the Belgariad book series. It seemed like a harsh enough name for an Orc, plus Torak was known for two things: being kinda fugly (like most Orcs) and having a Dragon as his totem. And also being evil, but you can't have everything.

My Nord's name is Donar, a big-bearded, redheaded brute who hits like a thunderstorm. Naturally, Donar is an old name for the god Thor, a big-bearded and redheaded brute who hits like a thunderstorm. I liked the association with thunder, as it's really just a loud sound, while the Dragonborn is associated with Shouting, i.e. making loud sounds.

Here are a few old ones I did

Nord - Methos. I picked it because he was the oldest living immortal on the Highlander series. If you are the oldest living immortal keeping people form taking your head, then you have to be pretty badass. That or lucky.

High Elf - Reginald Edmund Humperdink. I figured since they acted all high and mighty in the game, he might as well have a snooty name also.

Argonian - Iggy. I figured they kind of looked like an iguana, so why not abbreviate it.

Argonian - Spike. Had a crap ton of spikes on his head and used nothing but dual daggers.

Khajiit - Whiskers. It's pretty obvious, but I honestly couldn't come up with a name.

Wood Elf - Woody. Yeah I know...how creative

I can't remember some of my others. Now my current characters over 3 different xbox live names.

Breton - Levi. I have no clue how or why i came up with that name.

Wood Elf - Asher. Because wood burns to ash, and asher is close to the word archer which is his preferred battle style.

High Elf - Jasper. My wife decided to watch Twilight the other night. When i made this character it kind of looked like the dude that played Jasper in the movie.

I have a dark elf that I can't remember his name though

I could have edited my post but oh well. I have a build I am doing just for giggles. Only college quest will be done. Other than that it is purely exploring and terrorizing. Mainly when i get bored doing quest and just want to kill a little time and not get too involved.

Dark Elf (pure mage/ necromancer). Abracadaver. Magic and dead bodies so why no mix abracadabra and cadaver together.

Kohlar the Unkilled

Time for some ale
My first character was an orc named Kohr. The reason is that in my mind he was a Klingon that was transported to Skyrim somehow. I'm a bit of a Trekkie..

Do you make him carry an iron dagger and pretend it is one of those little radios, then you pull out the iron dagger yell beam me up Scottie then fast travel pretending that it actually worked. If not I would be severally disappointed in you.

Or one of the small struts. Can you equip those pieces, because I am sure you can't. Though it was a brilliant idea.

I also remember making a High Elf character based around Megatron from the "Transformers" franchise named "Xalcaron." No meaning, just thought it sounded similar to Megatron, for a High Elf name :p
