Xbox 360 HELP! Skyrim won't launch....

So basically, yes, Skyrim will not launch. I turn on my xbox and get to the dashboard. I select play Skyrim, and all I get is a black screen and it freezes, I can't even turn off my xbox, I have to shut the power off. I don't get the Bethesda logo with the sound effects, and I never make it to the main menu. Just a nice big black screen. I just played this morning fine, nothing has changed since then. No added updates, and no updates that need to be added as far as I know.

What I have already tried: Clearing the storage cache. Deleting Skyrim off my hard drive (I downloaded it on there to make it run faster). Deleting my last few auto saves (but no saves were interuptted or anything). Obviously restarting xbox.

I am out of ideas! I have looked all over the internet and can't find an answer. Worked this morning just fine. Never even took the disc out, so the disc is fine. ALSO it loaded another game (sims 3) just fine, so it's not the xbox. It's Skyrim. Any ideas???? I just emailed Bethesda but am still waiting. Wanted to see if anyone on here had a solution. THANKS!!!

And I have also tried taking the disc out and putting it back in and cleaning it.

Make sure there are no "rings" around the bottom of the disc. I had that happen to a copy of Oblivion on my 360 for no apparent reason. Had to take it back to the store.

I checked... the disc is totally clean. Not even one scratch! Thanks for the suggestion though!

I wish I could help but Ive never heard of that happening Maybe take your disc to a friends place that has an Xbox? I think it would be your disc more than your Xbox playing up...

Fixed the issue... well really I did nothing. It randomly worked this morning. Thanks everyone for the help!

Just needed a bigger hammer.

It was a problem with Microsoft. They have info on their website.
