So far ive realized that Oblivion is a better game than Skyrim. In Skyrim the map Sucks to control and all the Quest are super easy. Ive finished the Compainons, the thiefs guild and the Dark brotherhood, and also the main quest and the game sucks. The Map is the main problem with this game. Anyone else find problems with Skyrim yet?

You really prefer Oblivion? Seems like you were playing on easy mode, consider playing on master!

Really? the game sucks compared to Oblivion? Are you taking crazy pills or something? I love TES, but I think Oblivion had a very flawed leveling system. I found the game much more enjoyable once good leveling mods came out. With Skyrim, it seems the combat is better and the magic is better. They simplified and made more accessible things like alchemy and enchanting. The world is more detailed and varied too. Towns are more unique. The NPC AI is better. Out of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim; Oblivion has the most generic environments. Skyrim, in the vein of Morrowind, has great visual appeal and a much more dynamic combat system in my opinion.

But, to each his or her own. If you prefer Oblivion, play Oblivion. Or as Renegader mentioned, turn up the difficulty.

Does turning up difficulty give the ai a different fighting strategy, or add more foes for battle or anything like that. Or does it simply up their helth and make em hit harder?

That's a good question. I suspect the AI doesn't change. But, I don't know.

I think it makes enemies stronger. Not certain, though.

The difficulty on oblivion only made them have more health and were stronger, tested it while in the arena. and thats the only thing i didnt like about skyrim that there was no Arena

Yeah the Arena was a lot of fun and a good way to make a bit of money early game.

Well you're certainly entitled to your opinion and I will admit Oblivion was a good game...but I disagree with it being better than Skyrim. Of course NO game is perfect, not even Skyrim, but so far I'm enjoying Skyrim much more than Oblivion (and definitely far more than Morrowind, which I honestly thought sucked at least on PC...maybe I should try it for the console since I prefer a controller).

Oblivion's combat was improved over Morrowind (where you're lucky if your character bothers to land an attack in Morrowind) but Skyrim improves it further. You don't just spam the same thing over and over again in Skyrim and have to resort to tactical fighting. Shields do more than just block and magic must be used wisely instead of spam x spell until enemy dies. There's also the removal of level scaling and the requirement to specialize in one or two combat styles which means your Dragonborn is not an uber Mary Sue that can take anything.

Plus...the graphics. Morrowind's is alright with preset faces but feels jagged. Oblivion's environment graphics are beautiful but the characters are ugly and cartoony. But Skyrim feels so much more realistic. They all look hardened and weathered from a tough environment...with the exception of grey/purple skinned humans (prolly a console graphic thingy) it looks so much better.

If you like Oblivion better so be it. Oblivion is certainly NOT a bad game (admittedly I miss the Imperial Arena...:-/), but I think Skyrim is far superior. Just my opinion :-)

I hated Oblivion so much.... It was fun for a while but there where so many flaws to the game and the engine. I read in an interview that they where only making Oblivion to test the engine for Fallout 3. I dont enjoy it at all I have had more fun in 21 hours of Skyrim then I EVER had in my 2 months of Oblivion

In my opinion, Skyrim are almost equal in awesomness.

But in my opinion, melee fighting is slightly better in Oblivion. In Skyrim in next to impossible to not spam power attacks. This is not much of a problem tho, since I don't like to play as a combat focused class. In my opinion, Oblivion wins due to the greater diversity in quests and how they are actually challenging. I also believe Oblivion is better due to the fact that you choose your skills and level up in those skills and can name your class, opposed to Skyrims perk system.

How do you backstab a Dragon?
While Oblivion is great, particularly when it comes to magic and the variety of items, you just can't compare to the raw power in Skyrim. I agree with the others. Up your difficulty. I rarely do Master and NEVER do Legendary, but, either one will give you a challenge you won't believe.

I agree that the storylines are rather shallow in Skyrim, but, with the DLCs, at least there is a TON to do.
