How do you backstab a Dragon?
I have never been a hoarder in any of my games. I always use enchanting so I always take daggers and jewellery. I very very rarely strip anyone of their armour (jeez guys, show some decency to the deceased) and I take other weapons only if they are enchanted or very high quality. Even than I dont mind leaving behind a glass greatsword.

I have no obsession with gold and for the first 40 levels Im lucky to have over 20 000gold at any point. Im also a chronic smith so I get a lot of money back from that and enchanted items, but I try to leave my vendors with about the same amount of money as they started by buying leather or gems or expensive ingots back off them.

Im over alchemy so much that I dont have any ingredients on me at all, ever. Unless of course I need them for a mission...

Like most people though, If I see a dragonbone weapon, I'll chop off my left arm just to make some room for it :p
Oh, I always strip the armor from the dead. I then, of course return it to their bodies, imagining that I am slitting open their corpses and stuffing them full of their own possessions as a quaint way of violating those that would show the temerity to attempt to violate my personage. Gotta have some self pride. :)

As I go up levels and seem to be building money nicely I'll impose a gold limit. After a while, nothing under 100 gold (unless I want to collect it, i.e unique weapons/amour, animal pelts or books that I don't have). Then 200, then 300, and so on.

My last Imperial was a hoarded. The chests in my house were so full I will click on an item to store and it literally took a couple of seconds for it to store. While playing I had to take a bathroom break. My wife decided to goof off. She counted my books. I had like 140 books, spell books, journals, letters, notes, etc.

She laughed pretty hard when she went to my smithing chest and saw I had 132 wolf pelts, 84 bear pelts, 53 saber cat pelts, 211 deer hides, 55 cow hides, 2077 leather strips, along with 168 iron ingots and 228 iron ore. Then I had other ingots and ores. I think I could have gone through legendary twice if I had used that stuff. With over $150,000 gold and hoarding all the gems i could find, especially the flawless, it just got ridiculous.

With my current character is an archer. I have set a limit that he will collect one of each bow. He will hoard all the arrows, bolts, gold, and gems he can find. Books will be limits to spell books, and books that have cool looking covers. He will stock pile ingredients and leather for when he gets legendary and wants to level up. Jewelry I haven't decided. I may keep the ones with the gems or enchanted, but ditch or sale the generic silver or gold rings and necklaces.
