I am still really new to Skyrim but have ended up with a very strange build that I am having fun with.

I have a female Wood Elf - two handed battle axe with hunting bow for some distance use. She has some blacksmith and alchamy (so far). No real magic (yet) except the Shout(s) she just learned from the monks.

I just started using the axe because it was enchanted with 39 magic damage and had a lot of damage - can't remember where I got it. I wanted to go dual dagger/sword but this axe was too good to Not Use.

Usually my first character is a "throw away" - a learning toon that I mess up as I learn. But I am having such fun with her I haven't even made a 2nd so far.

It got be curious as to what your favorite character build is.

I'm still on my first character too. She's certainly not the most efficient build ever, but she's fun. She's a Breton with heavy armor, archery, sneak and a tiny bit of destruction magic. Along with the dragon shouts.

Dual-Wielding Dragon Destroyer
Dual-Wielding Nord.
Currently using Daedric Armour and two Daedric swords.

Stats - One-Handed, Heavy Armour, Smithing, Enchanting, Alchemy, Alteration (for 3/3 Magic Resistance).

Blacksmithing alone makes the game far too easy on Master. I will not be taking advantage of the loop Enchanting/Alchemy has, as anymore power would just make the game boring.

I've always gone for quicker dual-wield characters, normally with light or no armour (think Kensai or Ranger from Baldur's Gate). However, I couldn't see any drastic benefits with taking Light Armour over Heavy.

I may try another class at some point, but I will be getting this guy up to 81 before I do.

Nightmare Shadow

Master of Shadow
I keep switching characters, but I guess if one considers overall playtime, then my favorite build is assassin. But I have made a Warrior build, Hircine's Huntress in my sig and I like it a lot.

I'd like to try doing a conjurer next time, seems like it would be fun to have other creatures fighting for you while plunking away at your enemies with a conjured bow

Dual Wielding Nord in Heavy Armour right now, but at Level 29, I am finding it too easy.
Plan to try a Mage (Dest/Conj) next time

Totally sweet
Firstly I'd just like to say I think it's hilarious that people refer to their characters as if they were real people. :p

My character is a hybrid Mage / Thief.
I put enough points into sneak to get the 15x dagger sneaking damage then stopped.
I'm working on maxing both Enchanting and Alchemy (no smithing as I wear cloth).
Besides those two most of my points go to Destruction for taking out large groups or more powerful enemies.
I have points in specific places to unlock things like Muffle, to make me 100% silent because I have only 1/5 +20% Sneak, 3/3 Magic Armor increase when wearing all cloth, and some in Restoration (for wards only as I use pots to heal in combat).

Dunno if its my favorite, but my first build is a male dark elf, mostly daggers/sometimes one-hand sword, archer, heavy armor, no magic. perks i focus on are heavy armor, sneak, archery, one-handed, smithing, a few in block and a few in restoration but i mostly use hp pots in battle.

Blacksmithing using enchanted smithing equips + smithing pots does change the game in your favor quite a bit

I'm trying to go the 'high road' and serve the greater good with my quest choices, much like the greybeard's way. Any that deserves to die, dies if i can help it, ei. i was hellbent on finding who Astrid was from the assassin notes i found on the 'assassins'. She was murdered and robbed in our first encounter. I don't take part in weird/cruel activities... ei. i lured the priest to the temple but double crossed the cannibals and killed and looted them. I refuse to join in the civil war, both sides suck..... i should be high king of Skyrim. Also, I feel bad for killing all of these dragons when i have plenty of souls, but they keep attacking...

Lvl 28 Death Knight - Conjuring, 1 hand, Heavy Armor, Smithing

Cast a few elementals and charge in swinging with my bound sword. Loving this build.

Black-Tongue

Prey approaches...
I have characters of different types with different goals in mind. I switch whenever I get bored with one. The replayabiliy of this game is amazing.

Currently I'm a pure mage breton. Dest, Conj, Rest, Alt, Ench. Plus lots of perks left over, so I may dabble in alchemy. My goal with this character is to do all the daedric quests and standing stones without looking them up.

My "signature" type of character is usually some type of spell sword archer type. Argonian for sure.

If anyone needs advice on builds of any kind feel free to PM me.

currently i have two characters. the 1st one was a throw away but im having the most fun with him.
dunnegan- dark elf delta commando/sniper
lvl 44
1 handed dual weild L-legendary glass axe
R-legendary glass mace
combined attack does 106 dam
archery legendary glass bow does 80ish dam enchanted w/ either a absorb health or absorb stamina.
light armor legendary dragonscale w/ a necklace and ring enchanted to improve my light armor rating to 515.
im thinking about enchanting the armor like this
helm-fortify archery
armor- fortify health regen
boots-either muffled or carry more weight for extra loot
gloves- either fortify 1 handed attack or fortify stamina regen.
i havent found those enchantments yet.
he also has a strong alchemy like 50ish. 100 smithing 80 light armor but 106 w/ the enchantments. mid 70s 1 handed. high 70s archery. mid 50s enchanting.94 sneak. i didnt get the dagger sneak attack perk cause hes a warrior/sniper not an assassin/thief

second is brandon-argonian
lvl 9
heavy armor, 1 handed, archery, smithing, speech, and enchanting. currently havent started any quest till i get my smithing to 100 by killing wildlife around whiterun and making leather guantlets. hes gonna do the opposite of every decision my dark elf made. and probably be evil

Having some experience with previous Elder Scroll games I am abit more knowledgable as to my best type of player character, knowing your nature helps. I tend to lean toward Archers/Thieves. Mainly cause of the simple fact that taking out a dungeon while keeping personal damage to a minimum is a thrill to me. "If you hear me, its already too late" is more than a catch phrase with me. I literally sneak everywhere but in town. I wear headphones for the immersion effect and take enemies out from a distance doing my best to be undiscovered or at least hard to find.

At the moment, my favorite build is The Druid.
A Druid is a person who wields nature magic. Since there really isn't any nature magic in Skyrim, The Druid uses magic that is related to nature in some way.

Race : Bosmer, or Nord. Bosmer because their entire race has a connection to the land they live in. Nord because the closest thing to Druids in Skyrim, The Skaal, are Nords.

Gender doesn't matter, don't know why it would either.

Weapons: The Druid uses the power of the elements (Destruction magic) to destroy those who would harm nature.

Armor : Since the Skaal are the closest people you can find to Druids, The Druid wears Skaal armor.

Special Abilities: Shouts (since shouts are spiritual, while Druids are spirtual people). Beastform (Druids are known to be able to transform into different species of animals, and no they can't transform into other people)

Primary skills: Destruction, Alteration (Druids have the ability to change the world around them), and Restoration (Druids can use nature magic to heal and protect).

Secondary Skills: Light Armor (since Druids revere nature, they like to wear the hides of animals. And the Skaal armor is also light armor), Alchemy (Druids know a lot about the land, which means they also know a lot about plants and are able to make potions and poison out of them), and enchanting ( I chose this because it goes with the elemental theme, and you also can name your armor The 'blank' of the Druid).
