Did it without roleplaying (didn't even know what it was then).
I did the main quest.
Then, done stuff city by city.
Then the smaller villages.
Did all the random help people quests and started faction quests related to said city.
Dawnguard came out, did that.
Then started some new characters and started getting into roleplaying.
When Dragonborn came out, went back to my original character.
Only then did I find out about the Ebony warrior.
Made smithing legendary twice or three times (building all three houses helped)
Made my main skills (light armor, one handed, archery) legendary once.
Bought every bit of training, got all free training.
Cleared the backlog of misc jobs I got from picking things up/reading notes.
Made a point to get whatever daedric artifacts and unique items I hadn't already.
Went for all dragon priest mask that I hadn't already and shouts.
Think I was late 70s by then, so just wandered around and went in every cave I hadn't been in up until then.
Also did the radiant assassinations and TG jobs.
Fought the Ebony Warrior (about 887389738 times before beating him) and haven't touched that character since. Don't think there's a single thing to really do.

You have extraordinary commitment.

Well, it was over the course of two years probably.

Don't think I've really played another game since Skyrim. Only GTA for a month or two.

I've only gotten to lvl 81 on one character, my namesake character Kalin. I did it back in the days of yore, when 81 was the ceiling and the only way to get there was to max out every skill to 100. You kids these days and your legendary skills, your 200+ levels, your max perks in every tree with your rock pop music and your high top sneaker shoes.

Get off my lawn!

Oh, that is definitely an accomplishment! I don't think I could do that even if I wanted to. Going from a sword and shield tank to a Conjuration mage to a sniping assassin.. I would give up very quickly!

It wasn't that bad, honestly.

Kalin started out as a pure mage. Which was fortunate, because magical skills (especially conjuration and to a lesser degree restoration) were very useful in then leveling melee and armor skills.

From summoning creatures to use as target practice for archery to raising a dead-thrall to use as a sparring partner for leveling light and heavy armor and one and two handed weapons as well as blocking.

I did most of these training sessions in the back lot behind Jorrvaskr, where all of my fellow companions would come and..cheer on the zombie.

Seriously, guys?

I got enchanting to 100 through plundering every thing that could be worn and soul trapping everything in my way. Then I got a full set of armor enchanted to give me tons of mana and mana regen.

Finally, I got out of Whiterun, killed a giant, and spent 3 hours casting soul trap on his/its corpse, upping conjuration and making it legendary once it hit 100. It took ages, but... I got to 83.

But that doesn't mean I haven't done it the fair way! I once maxed my alchemy skill to 100 (which to me seems like the most boring thing to do) and got all the skills to 100. (still, I confess, I got my combat skills high when I attacked my own army in the civil war questline, so even after we conquered the fort, soldiers kept spawning infinitely and attacking me.)

Oh no! You should have enchanted 'Reduce Conjuration Cost!' With 0% Conjuration cost, it took me 2:15minutes to level conjuration from level 90-100. It took roughly 10minutes to get my conjuration from 35-100. I used soul trap on both hands (not dual cast) and soul trapped a bear.

Noooooo! Why did this only show up now?! That wasted me 3 seconds every time my mana was depleted, after every 16 spell casts or so. And that could have ended up in more than 3 minutes wasted!

Keep base magic at 100. Drink two Draughts of the healer and 1 Philter of the healer, then immediately get the Atronach stone blessing. Unlimited magic. Now use telekinesis on a sweetroll and fast travel across Skyrim, level 81 in 30-40 min.

Oops. I are necromancer.
