Still haven't found a smelter, but corundum will be useful once I do:

(Yes, I play with a controller from time to time. I find it much easier than m&kb, except for aiming. It's also a lot more comfortable.)

Do you find any difficulties using a controller when you're using mods? I'm considering PC Skyrim with mods but would have to use a controller.

I have no problems at all with PC w/ a controller. The wired XBox 360 controllers work perfectly right out of the box. I started Skyrim originally on PS3 so the controller on PC felt more natural

With my dragon mods I would never do this if I wasn't just messing around with god mode on:

I use a ton of mods and swear by using my controller, even on my many archery-based characters. Skyrim's combat isn't overly complex, so while fighting I have yet to find a need for the versatility the keyboard+mouse gives. The way I see it, you're still going to have to pause combat to switch weapons/abilities, making keybinds redundant.

There are some mods that have you assign keybinds for certain things (convenient horses comes to mind), but I rarely, if ever, want to use those superfluous aspects of the mod anyhow.

I was testing my setup, and ended the test with this scene:

Revered Dragon and Dragon skeletons lying side by side. The guard in the picture couldn't reach me because I was standing on top of the skeketon. His archer friend was more successful, as you can see.

~ Ryla <3
New PC, self-built. Running Skyrim on ultra, with some graphics enhancing mods: ~60 FPS. With an ENB: ~25 FPS. Not bad, not bad (far better than my old ~20 FPS on med-low). :D I had to remake Ryla for the second time, but I think I'm mostly settled for now. Took a bunch of screenshots for fun:

I've yet to do any real adventuring so far, but I plan to do that soon. :)
