So Im a level 33 Woodelf and Im beginning to think that my currently armour set, the Ancient DB set is the best in game for me. With that set my legendary deadric bow does 111 dmg, double the sneak attack dmg and so on and so forth, (you guys know what the set does). However the nightingale set looks great but if I use it my dmg drop significantly, so my question is: Does it exist a better armour set for an assassin then the Ancient DB set? Also, i cant uppgrade that set higher then flawless (I have 100 in smith), why is that?

Keep it king!

You can craft either a set of Daedric/Bone Light armor, upgrade and then enchant it with +bow damage %. Also enchanting your bow with +damage % or elemental damage will increase it.

Ok, I have crafted a legendary light dragon armour set. How do I get the +bow damage, + double sneak attack damage and muffled noise? Must I destroy the Ancient DB set?

You will need to disenchant an item with those enchantments... I am not sure but I would hope there are other items you can destroy to get those enchants so you don't ruin the set. If not, you wont be wearing that set or pieces you destroy anyway as you have more armour from the Dragon set!

In my opinion..
Shrouded Armor is one of the best for an Assassin type character. You get it from the Dark Brotherhood Quests.

Shroud Armor - Increases poison resistance by 50%
Shroud Boots - Wearer is muffled and moves silently
Shroud Cowl - Bows do 20% more damage
Shroud Gloves - Backstab does double damage

Auxilium, the OP is talking about an even better set, the Ancient Shrouded Armor, which essentially doubles what the regular shrouded already offers.

Der, I didn't even notice it says Ancient DB. I didn't see Shrouded so I thought "Dragonbone" for some reason lol

Ancient DB set is arguably the best armor for an assassin type character. I consider my character to be an assassin and I use the nightingales armor for a few reasons:
1. It has more defense than ancient shrouded armor
2. Frost resistance is more useful than poison resistance especially for Bosmers
3. Nightingale gloves power up one handed damage which does not apply to daggers (I
experimented with this) and I don't have the assassin blade perk (relying solely on sneak didn't
get me very far on master difficulty). I dual wield swords.
4. I used to use a bow as my main combat method but I found it almost useless after I learned
the Dragonrend shout. The only time I use a bow now is to knock down soul gem traps.
5. My personal opinion is that Nightingale looks way more badass than shrouded armor
