Heya All,

This is really bugging me (pun only half-intended), I have got the end of Bleak Falls Barrow, hot n heavy to face the big baddie, got the claw, got Alven's Journal, and the rings wont turn on the final door, so is this a bug?

Are the rings highlighted in any fashion when you move your cursor over them? Are you on console or PC?

I don't have an Xbox so I can't counsel you on specific things to try. I did go ahead and add the Xbox prefix to your thread so hopefully someone more knowledgeable than myself can chime in.

I will say though, have you done this quest before? Do you know that it has worked properly during your gameplay? I'm trying to figure out if there's some odd quest step you missed or if we're dealing with a software/hardware issue.

I'll also go ahead and alert xSuoiveDx since he's the mega-Xbox player to see if he can spot some obvious thing right away.

Thank you Rayven, yolu have been very helpful. :) Wellll not on my console but I have seen it done, and ive consulted guides so to speak to see if I have missed somethingh....thank you :)

Turns out Dave (xSuoiveDx) is in the middle of moving and isn't online for a few weeks. Let me see if I can dig up a couple others I know have Xboxes.

There should be similar options both on PC and the Box. When you highlight your cursor over a given ring does it give an action caption "Rotate (upper, middle, lower) ring" With a button mentioned. Example of how it would look on the PC "[E] Rotate Upper/outer ring." I can't remember if it is upper/outer, and lower/inner. But when it is highlighted you will select that action key on your controller to move it. Also be sure you are not in your inventory when trying to activate the rings as you can't.

It offers me the option to activiate, I press A and nothing happens....

First time I have heard if this, and I've never had this problem. Like someone already said, if you can load a previous save file, I'd do that.

Reloading a save or entering another room should do the trick. If that doesn't help you're another victim of some bug that stops main story progression.
