My take:
I think you miss the point. Emotions will do you in every time. The vampires are about backstabbing, gaining power, betrayal and sinister motives. There is no loyalty or honor to be found. When Serana first returns home, she drops you for a reason. Truth be told, I'm surprised they didn't have Serana try to kill the dragonborn after the final battle with Harkon. That's what a true vampire would do. That said, I love playing a villainous character....
As for the dawnguard side, I've done the quest line as a companion and I find it works out wonderfully. Being a nord at their finest.

have you tried doing that wile being aligned to the vampires? you will soon learn they are leveled to the exact same level your character is regardless of whether your level 50 or level 500 not to mention even if you did put one down you would learn on the Volkihar side many of them are Essential

That sounds like fun! If I'd known that, I would've joined them MONTHS ago! I don't think you quite comprehend how powerful my endgame characters usually are, though.

Why should I feel sorry for Serana ?
1. She`s beautiful and ageless.
2. Unlike me , she can`t be killed.
3. She has abilities I don`t have , like being able to sit down on rocks or the exposed roots of Tel Mithryn.
4. Her only expressed regrets about her vampirism are about the sun and hunger for blood. Even the feral vampires will talk about the anguish of their victims occasionally.
5. Certainly she feels lonesome (as you would expect) , but whenever she says , " I`m glad you`re here with me." , I feel a connection I don`t get with any other follower.
No , Serana has got it made after meeting the Dragonborn.
The follower I truly feel sorry for is Roggi Knot-Beard .
What a LOSER that sot is !
No wonder he ends up on the Pillar of Boethiah so often.

Really well let me explain something to you my Vampire Lord can do up to 500 damage per slash and over 900 Damage per Bloodbomb and I still find them very Powerful.
Once again, you're vastly underestimating the power of one of my builds. They would not stand a chance. Of course, I've deleted most previous save files, and with the idiotic patch to the Oghma Infinium, it will be MANY hours if I even play again at all before I get to teach them a lesson in humility.

This is an unfair evaluation to all vampires. Not all of them are backstabbers, lust for power and will betray you. Not all of them have sinister motives. What do you mean that Serana "drops you"? Meaning that she went her separate ways? Of course she did because she returns home after her mother sealed her away, and that wasn't because she betrayed her daughter either. It was to keep her safe from her father. What did you expect her to do anyways? Follow you around like a lost puppy? Why would Serana try to kill you after the final battle with Harkon? The Dragonborn essentially saved her life. Its illogical to do such a thing like that.
Meh. They'd only be getting back up to get knocked down again.

why what are you getting at are you complaining about how I use no punctuation and so you read this as one long continuous thought and then almost pass out because a side effect of smoking a good bit is that your lung capacity is thus somewhat lessened making you easily get lightheaded which is never a good thing especially if you are driving of course I don't recommend being on the internet while you are driving distracted driving is dangerous and many people get hurt each year some states make laws against it people still do it anyway though and think they will just get away with it that's risky though because you never know when you are driving someone will pull out in front of you kids are also at risk running out in the street you can easily hit them when your eyes are diverted from the road its a good thing states write tickets for it then please don't do it any more I just want you to be safe and save others you should stop smoking too smoking is not good for your health people waste a lot of money on cigarettes the cost of healthcare later on in life is also something to think about the odor your breath gets and your clothes smelling makes it somewhat off-putting as well as a friend I wish you would quit
