    BATMAN!
"There are other ways of getting attention, my friend" I kept my visage on the woman who said that. She had the features of a nord, but the ears of an elf. Other than that, she didn't seem hostile by the manner of which she spoke, and the men she had beside her looked like decent sort. Maybe this can go smoother than I expected

"Who are you? and why have you come here?" all the guards sheathed their weapons as she approached me, tilting her head up so she can see my eyes. I maintained a blank face, no smile, no frown, although I was getting impatient. I had to pose well, after all, I was representing the whole group, not something I liked doing. I smirked a little as I spoke “You can call me Nero, and those are my people.” In a quick moment I tilted my head towards the group, than came back to normal “If you want all of our names...this might take a while” I said, jokingly. I could hear some chuckles from behind me, but the guards remained serious. “Look, we have wondered through this wasteland for too many years, and came to Stormhold seeking sanctuary. Those people are hard workers, and they can handle themselves. I hope you can find a place for all of us in here...” Prayers could be heard from besides me again. That woman didn't look like she ruled over the entire keep, but by the way the guards reacted to her, she was worthy of respect. I knew nothing about the people of Stormhold at the time, only stories and fables. Truth was, the keep was like any other, nothing too special about it. Well, it sort o was the only remaining keep, but that's beside the point.

"Leave your weapons at the gate until we have further proof that you're not a threat" she pointed to three other guards motioning for them to come forward "Respectfully take their weapons" she looked at Nero "If any of your people refuse or fight we won't hesitate to remove or cut you all down" she looked around as the archers readied their bows "You are to come with me, Torlin wishes to speak with you" she turned around started back towards the steps with the guards asking for Neros group for their weapons

The woman asked us to give away our weapons, something most of us would refuse. But I couldn't say no to those people, I turned my head and nodded towards the group, and they did as asked. "If any of your people refuse or fight we won't hesitate to remove or cut you all down" she said, clearly not joking. She seemed overly protective, not eliv in her words. "There's no need or that, milady." I kept telling myself that there was nothing to fear, I doubted the people of Stormhold would just murder us all for no good reasons. So I walked alongside her, climbed the steps that led to the castle. I wasn't sure what to expect, and my mind had already made up too many scenarios. All I knew was that I had to think for the entire group, not just for myself. I remained quiet the whole trip.

    A Friendly Brit
Torlin and Levi walked at a casual pace down the stairs, side by side, chatting the whole way. Torlin looked the boy up and down. He was plastered with a putrid mix of blood, sweat and dirt. "So, you gonna tell me what happened?" He asked the question that had been on his mind ever since he saw the boy outside the keep. "Oh, uh, yeah. I set up this ritual, man. Not sure it's even going to work to be honest. Took hours. Waste of freakin' time since their leader, this Orc psycho, ended up killing them anyway." Levi stopped suddenly, and waited for Torlin to turn and face him. "Torlin, Molag-Bal spoke to me. He knew what I was there to do and he told the cult leader to kill me, and he's still alive man. I just hope he returned home and that ritual kills him, if not he's coming for me." It was unlike Levi to be sacred, but he seemed genuinely terrified, although he made a feeble effort to hide it. "I ended up joining them through this.. Twisted ritual. It didn't involve me killing innocents but... I did." Levi broke eye contact, and stared at the floor behind Torlin. "I poisoned like... two families worth of women and kids. They were going to be raped or used in some sick Daedric tradition, I had to, and I hate it." This caught Torlin off guard. He hadn't expected anything quite like this. "Levi," Torlin said, putting his hand on the boy's shoulder to reassure him. Levi looked up at him. "You saved those families from suffering. You did the right thing. Don't let it get to you." He couldn't help but feel guilty that he hadn't been able to help the poor lad. "If it really bothers you that much, we can get guards outside your house. I'm not letting some Daedra-driven psychorc get to you." He was trying his best, but Torlin wasn't really the type for reassurance. "Thanks.. But I don't know man, if I hadn't been on so driven to do some stupid ritual, stealing the tools and ingredients I would need for it... I probably could have freed them, if I had known they were all going to be killed by their leader... I don't know." Torlin sighed heavily and looked at Levi with as much sympathy as he could muster. "C'mon, let's go meet this guy." He began to walk back down the stairs.

"Anything else you wanna say to me?" Levi seemed to take a few moments to bring himself back to the present. "Yeah, who is this guy and why are we seeing him?" Levi asked as he continued walking again. "I'm gonna be honest Levi, I don't know," he said, before sighing heavily. "I can't imagine I'm going to make a good impression as a leader, in a torn and bloodstained shirt with a dirty and blood covered runt behind me," he said jokingly, teasing Levi. Levi let out a small laugh, "Oh yeah, maybe it'll actually do some good. Yeah, lets him know what happens people do wrong by us." As they were walking Levi did a quick glace up and down Torlin. "Well, for me at least, you look like you sneezed while on your period." Levi returned Torlin's tease with a tease of his own. "You know what they say, a knight in shining armour is a man who has never had his mettle truly tested." Torlin's face dropped as Levi's quip outdid his own. "Okay, smart-ass, let's go find this guy." Their was a brief moment of silence, as Torlin thought Levi would attempt to capitalize on his advantage. "Illia threatened to rat me out to you, but you didn't seem to know I was back. I ought to thank her, after this can you show me to her?" Torlin was relieved he hadn't thought of a new insult for Torlin. "Sure thing. But be careful, she's got a new man in her life." Torlin thought for a moment. "You can be my snitch," he said smiling, "and tell me if anything happens between them that I, as a concerned guardian, should be wary of," he said with a tinge of sarcasm in his voice. "Oh," Levi said with a slight surprise, "How did that happen?" He asked, seemingly with false intrigue. "She does seem the typical young in love mumbo jumbo, but she's only going to get held back and hurt. Its how relationships work."

The conversation was cut short when Torlin found himself just a few steps away from Uri, and a few guards, escorting an unfamiliar face to the Keep. Torlin held himself back from yelling at Uri for trying to bring him up to the keep, knowing it would make him look bad if this man did turn out to be ok. Rumare followed closely behind, like a dog to its master. Illia had just walked up next to the man. She looked furious. "Well, there's Illia, Levi." He turned to address the man in front of him. "Hello. My name is Torlin. I apologize for my attire, I've had a bad few days," he said, attempting to open the conversation on a more casual note.

Uri watched Nero as he stared at Torlin for a couple moments. With a rather wide smile on his face “I'm sure you will recover fast. We have a sorceress amongst us in our group, quite skilled in restoration magic. If she would have a look at you, sir Torlin, you would be back on your feet for good.” there was a brief pause in his speech. “And it's like that for the rest of us – everybody is good at something, my people could fit well in this society you have built up here.” he kept a hard gaze at Torlin with a insistent in his eyes

The man's silver tongue was impressive, she wondered if Torlin would give him that much as Torlins eyes met the man's gaze and stared hard at him. "Thank you, for the generous offer. I may have to take you up on that, healers are so hard to come across in times like these." He paused for a moment "Although, I'm sure for every healer among you there are at least three trained killers, am I right? It would have been remarkably difficult for you to get here otherwise, surely?

Nero's smile faded away as she watched Nero he had turned his visage away from Torlin,“We are all trained killers, nowadays, Tamriel is very, very harsh place. You cannot imagine the sacrifices we endured just so we can reach this hold.”. Nero's eyes met Torlin's once more. “I have to say you don't look like a stranger to struggle, sir Torlin. Surely you can take pity – women were forced not to have children due to the lack of food, and if someone happened to be too wounded or too sick to keep on moving, he would have been left behind. A sad reality we didn't have your resources to strengthen us, your walls to guard us, or your manpower to ward us.”

She could see Torlin face feel the harsh truth of the man's words. "Indeed, I expected nothing less than killers. Of course, killers in particular have their uses nowadays. It is true what you say, I am no stranger to struggle, I too traveled to Stormhold in a large group, that arrived with numbers far fewer than yours. Although, I would consider myself one of the lucky ones that I have lived such a life within this sanctuary. I do pity you, I cannot imagine how hard it must have been, but your being here is a beacon of hope itself. I think the people here will find relief, and hope in the fact that mere mortals survived for so long outside these walls. Perhaps your being here could be beneficial for both parties." He began to stroke his beard, as he did often when he was deep in thought, trying to plot a mental chart of everything the newcomers could bring to Stormhold.

“We aren't...just...killers, sir Toriln. A hundred killers are good for an army, not for a traveling group of survivors. Some of us are good lumberjacks, fishermen, hunters, gatherers, builders, tailors and even smiths. We could fill small gaps in here, and, at the end o the day, people will barely notice”

"I appreciate that there is more to your group than brutality. The fact remains, however, that it is there. It would be nice to trade secrets with a fellow smith, it must be said, and the extra hands will definitely be useful." He thought for a moment, knowing that the others would judge him If he turned this man away. Indeed, he would judge himself. "For now, I will see what I can do about finding accommodation for your people. There should be inns and bunkhouses to accommodate most of you. We will have to place others in volunteer's homes." He continued stroking his beard. "We will see what we can do about a more permanent solution. Welcome to Stormhold, Sir Nero" He moved to shake the mans hand and placed one of his own on Neros shoulder, leaning in close to whisper in his ear. "Don't make me regret my decision.

Uri looked between the two men, feeling as though for once Torlin had proved himself to be a man, which to her was a rare case as he always seemed angry at her for "not respecting" him she softly spoke up "Excuse me, but I should get back to my studies and it seems as everything here is well under control" she walked by Torlin, leaning in towards him "I want to speak to you later and for the sake of the divines take a damn bath" she smirked at him and continued passed him, stopping at the top of the steps turning around and speaking towards Nero "I have a few extra beds if you want to send a few of your people over to my house" she pointed towards her house "Just tell them to tell Lilly I sent them and she should help them out, and welcome to the Stormhold, pretty sure anyone here is willing to help you out if need be" she did a courtesy bow and headed back to the library

Rumare listened to the conversation between the two men, hoping to catch something that would push his opinion of them one way or another.

From his observations, his first thought seemed to be incorrect. These were mortal beings, they just had survivor's instinct beat into them.

Some of the things this Nero had said simply made Rumare cringe.

Uri spoke up as the two men came to an agreement, causing Rumare's wandering mind to return.

"Excuse me, but I should get back to my studies."

She then spoke to the two men separately, and Rumare began to wonder if he should stay or accompany Uri back to the library, hopefully getting back to what they were discussing before.

Then again, the more personal part should probably remain under wraps for now.

After coming to a decision, Rumare spoke up, clearing his throat. "Hang on, Uri. I'll come with you."

With that, he caught up to her rather quickly, speaking his mind when he did. "That was a rather unexpected event."
