This build has come from a recent thread regarding races likes and dislikes, of which Argonians are something ive never played seriously so i thought i would give it a go, and would like some feedback whether you like or dislike etc.

So lets introduce Farts-and-Swims, my Argonian runt of the egg clutch, he is going to be a sneaky assasin mage. Going to play him slow, just carriage for fast travel if i fancy but mostly walking from quest to quest etc. Unsure at the moment whether to start MQ it depends on how im feeling, however i will do the DB fully and College quest line and TG as and when.

My main skills will be of course sneak, destruction for offense and illusion only to quiet casting. Then it gets interesting, No enchanting and No smithing wears clothes only and No Alteration, but lots and lots of Alchemy, with some minor skills of Restoration for undead and maybe some pickpocket.

I can see a few problems in this build but im sure i can get over them with a little thought, due to never useing any weapons not even bound, but i will get the gloves of pugelist for dire emergencies.

So there it is folks, ,, ,, ,, pick it to pieces or enjoy. :D

Sounds good if you play it well. You'll struggle in the MQ though due to Dragons having so much health and no sneak bonuses for magic.

Good luck :)

Farting seems like it would be a bad thing for an assassin to do excessively. And a mage, for that matter. Farts are highly combustible.

Lol, you just described my character. I can tell you that it's a very exciting, fun and versatile style of play. The only disadvantage is that you're going to be a glass canon. I think it gives you more adrenaline in fights though. I did use mainly Destruction, but towards the end it doesn't quite scale or it was trickier to cast. Switched to Conjuration combined with a bit of Archery and One-Handed. Anyways, enjoy!

That actually sounds fun! If only I were creative enough to come up with an idea like that.

But you'll have a lot of fun!Try it on legendary ;)

I agree it would be a struggle, however, in the past i have used alchemy to great effect for protection with some potions, and handily the destruction potion can be quite a powerful buff and up the damage considerably, , either that or i just crash and burn, ,,

fortune favours the brave (foolish) though ,, ,, :p

I think the build looks like a tricky one, but will probably turn out to be pretty fun. What difficulty are you going to play on?

I don't know how to RP Argonians, but I wish I did. They're a race I've always wanted to try. I just can't understand them, I guess. I struggle to figure out how to get their story going and whatever. For instance, isn't there something lore-wise that deals with assassin Argonians? Don't they have to be chosen or some nonsense? I dunno.

I can see Farts-and-Swims leaving a trail of bubbles as his trademark after a kill. I imagine the guards, "The bubbles! Surely this is the work of Farts-and-Swims!"

Farfetch'd is judging you!
Maybe you could try carrying around a dagger or two? You know, to deliver your poisons?

i always play on expert, imho i think its just about right if a few restrictions are imposed just for Rp and fun challenges.

as for weapons, erm well he doesnt have any only destruction, , as he was the runt of the family he so scrawny a dagger feels like a warhammer to him, so he's learning surprise with fire. :D

You convinced me.

I just made an Imperial who woke up in a vampire cave, I just need to find a purpose to her life.. maybe to have a simple life, to be an alchemist

These guys?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Shadowscales

They're chosen by their birthday and are trained until they either a) die, or b) come of age to join the Dark Brotherhood.

So, do Argonians in the Dark Brotherhood need to be a Shadowscale? The Argonian we see in the DB in Skyrim is one. Says he's the last of his kind, too.

I wouldn't think that they have to be, not sure though. I've played non-Shadowscale DB Argonians in the past.

I came across a peice of lore one time (maybe the Argonian account?) that mentioned the Nagas, which are basically a bunch of badass Argonians who commit lots of crimes.

So basically you could make an argonian burglar and just kill travelers. :)

I actually don't know, I've never played Oblivion. I played Morrowind many many moons ago, though. But taking into consideration the timeline for TES, it would make sense.

I came across a peice of lore one time (maybe the Athenian account?) that mentioned the Nagas, which are basically a bunch of badass Argonians who commit lots of crimes.

The Nagas were one of the Argonian tribes/breeds or whatever. But yeah, you could definitely RP a rogue Nagas Argonian that left Black Marsh and has been traveling or whatever. He'd be a proper thug.

This thread has inspired me to make my first *Skyrim Argonian. His name is Runs-to-Battle, and he's a shield and axe berserker. Black scales, red plumes and red face-paint on his snout. Heavy armor (looking to collect the Falmer armor, that looks really super good (creepy) on an Argonian. No magic or enchanting, heavy focus on alchemy and histskin for healing.

He's a pillager and marauder. A raider who has tired of preying upon the Dunmer farmsteads that boarder Black Marsh and has traveled north to test himself in the harsh climes of Skyrim. He finds the soft-skinned races hideous and strange (especially elves), but his true test is the land. The snows and storms of Skyrim is as adverse to his kind as the pestilence and poisons of Blackmarsh is to the softskins, but he will conquer it none the less!

Mistress of Shadows
I to have just made my first Argonian. A male, his name is Tiberius Black-Scales. Like his name says, he has black scales and very flamboyant purple hair/facial scales. I think he is very handsome as far as Argonians go. He is a warrior, duel wields swords and doesn't use any magic. He uses a bit of archery as well. Is in heavy armour due to his large size but does not wear a helmet. He feels a comradery with the Khajiit because of their segregation in Skyrim.

I think he is overall trying to be a good guy, but he has recently fell in with the thieves guild as the lure of gold is just too inviting. He hopes to one day marry and is looking to settle in Riften, being on the water.
