Whats the strongest Monster/human/something that you have taken on.

Mine would be trying to take on a frost troll at a low level. Doesn't end well..

Either the blood or ancient dragons for me. The ones who chomp on you, shake you like the rag-doll you are, and then spit you out like last week's leftovers. Fun, but challenging. Keep. Your. Distance. :D

This time yesterday I would have had a different answer, but last night I was running through with a POW (plain old warrior) and did Treva's Watch (the one where the guy outside hires you to go clear it). This dungeon, for some reason, has two bandit chiefs, and the second one has to have been the toughest single opponent I've ever had, levels notwithstanding.

The chief was wearing steel plate, and this was at a level where the best armor my char could get without grinding was regular steel. I had all my skill levels in heavy armor, block, and one-hand, which were all around 40. For perks I had shield bash and one handed perks up to and including the mace perk that ignores armor.

Anyway, this frickin' boss was immune to my damage. Literally, mathematically immune. I ran at her, bash, bash, power bash, power attack, and her health bar didn't go down so much as a sliver. I used a mass paralysis scroll, which froze her for ten seconds, during which time I literally whaled on her non-stop, and her health bar did not go down more than a hair's breadth. Meanwhile, she was wielding an elven dagger and was one-shot killing me. This meant that I somehow had to find a way to kill her without taking a single hit. I assume she was glitched and spawned at a level many many times my own.

I actually managed it, finally, by luring her down the hall and over two bear traps. Bear traps appear to do a set amount of damage regardless of armor. It's not much though. I had to lure her over them, bash her to stagger her, reset the traps, and lure her across the other way, again all without ever getting hit once. I had to get her to hit both traps about twenty times before she finally died, and it took probably close to 200 reloads before I finally got it right.

All in all, it was not nearly as satisfying a triumph as I thought it would be, and if I had to do it again, I would just set the difficulty down to novice. I haven't had to do that yet though, and pride, I guess, kept me from it then. Stupid.

The frost troll on the way to the greybeards temple was quite a challenge at low level. At higher levels it's got to be the deathlords with ebony weapons, master wizards, and dragon priests.

Well.. It all depends on my character build.. For my current Warrior.. Ancient Dragons on Master without 85% Magic Resistance.. Or any type of Mage. I honestly have struggled with Mages in all my Warrior builds. They just can't get close enough to attack.... Being a Breton, I can heal through it, but they usually outlast my Magicka even when I am using Dragonskin to absorb theirs. On my assassin, anything Dual Wielding, or 2-Handing.. Especially Drauger Overlord Deathlord Restless Scrouge King. That son of a bitch is tough.

Oh crap, yeah, the DPs. Especially that one by Shearpoint word wall, usually the first one you find. "Oh look, a word wall! Yay! Uh-oh, there's a dragon on it. Lemme run over by the wall for cover. Oh crap, a draugr just popped out of that sarcaphagus! Oh s--t, that's not a draugr! What is that thing? I guess I'll think that over while my last save reloads here."

Man, that sounds like a lotta effort just to take out a bandit chief! You got through it though. Did you let out a hearty BITE THAT!!! (or its nearest equivalent) upon completion of her death? :Dovahkiin:

I did indeed! I also stood over her body hitting it with my mace for a couple minutes after she died. During the fight I almost ripped my keyboard rest off of my desk a couple of times. It was very frustrating!

that reminds me, i had a glitch were my follower - who i was marring glitched on the floor and i could keep attacking them while training my two handed skill and they wouldn't die, and if i walked around they would slide along the ground following me, they were invincible.

Well, since I like to play with a various hardcore rules (sometimes DiD), and the hardest difficulty I can, just about any fight can be deadly.

But before I started playing the way I do now, when I just had vanilla Skyrim, I'd say giants where my first real challenge. Damn clubs.

Oh, no doubt, Medea. That first ice troll was kicking my butt every which way! Finally, I just ran right at him, playing a game of "chicken." I juked right, went left (as he's swiping at my helmetless-head) and drained my stamina bar cuz I was sprinting my ass off just to get outta there! Once I saw his health bar disappear from the compass, then I took my time to Hrothgaar.

Yeah, not exactly the kinda story to be swapping with the lads and lasses at The Bannered Mare over a pint or six.

Frost troll? I never saw one on the way to High Hrothgar.. I may have passed it, I was just using an Amulet of Talos, and the Shrine Blessing to Whirlwind Sprint my way up :3

Gotta say, hardest fight ever was during the thieves guild quest where you hunt down Mercer. I walk into the room with the dwarven centurion all asleep with the random Falmer roaming around him. Try to sneak by the thing and not only does it wake up, but commences to target me specifically despite the masses of Falmer and my two friends attacking him while I unsuccessfully attempt to shadow warrior sneak attack him. On Master difficulty it just wasn't happening.

Falmer are protectors of them Dwarven ruins. Or squatters, whatever. They don't show up as a blip on that Centurion's radar. You, however, do. As evidenced by him taking the liberty to introduce himself. Try to plug him with as many arrows as possible. And keep shucking and ducking at all times.
