Hey whats up guys I am going to tell you how to make the ultimate mage armor. There are some pre-requirements- first you need your smithing up to 100 or you just need to get deadric armor. To get your smithing up to 100 just buys as much leather and leather strips as possible and spam leather bracers. For the enchanting go to and get/buy all the common/lesser/petty soul gems possible and use them to enchant all you leather bracers.

Once too 100 on both craft deadric armor which will be pretty easy just buy or get deadric hearts from Enthir in the college of winter hold. Now once crafted you probably over weight because most mages don't put too much points into stamana but thats ok. Deadric armor is extrmemely heavy since it is heavy armor. There is a heavy armor perk that makes armor cost nothing but you need level 100 in heavy armor in that and you dont need that, in this tut I will show you how to make your stamina cost nothing. Make your deadric armor legendary and then , get 6 black or Grand soul gems. Once that is done go to white run and to the shop Arcadia's Cauldron there you will buy a potion called enchanters elixer. Once that is done get to an enchanting table. Make sure you have a ring and necklace with your armor. Now you will have to use your potion before you enchant and for 60secs you enchants are 25% stronger. Before you will have to have these enchantments

Daedric Armor (Legendary) -
Destruction Spells Cost %28 Less
Magicka Regenerates %70 Faster

Daedric Helmet (Legendary) -
Destruction Spells Cost %28 Less
Magicka Increased by 70

Daedric Gauntlets (Legendary) -
Magicka Increased by 70
Carrying Increased by 42

Daedric Boots (Legendary) -
Carrying Increased by 42
Stamina Increased by 70

Gold Diamond Necklace -
Magicka Increased by 70
Destruction Spells Cost 28% Less

Gold Diamond Ring -
Destruction Spells Cost %28 Less
Magicka Increased by 70
Now after eating the potion enchant acorrdingly and make with black/grand soul gems and these enchants with these amor peices. Now once you wear all of the items your amor wont weigh you down and now none of your destruction spells will cost any magica, no matter what level distruction spell or how much magica it cost you magica in distruction is now infinte XD. Have fun owning ur enemies without having to worry about magica. Even master distruction doent matter it cost nothing at all. Good luck it really works I just finished doing it at level 40 and now I am off to soverngarde it is amazing unlimited magaika best armor in the game for mages XD Please like

Trying that tonight wearing dragonscale bracers & boots and master destruction robes. I'm saving a save first just in case. :)

I like it but would opt for the Steed Stone or the Conditioning perk and use other beneficial enchantments rather than Carry Weight.
Either of these will take care of the weight problem but also have the added benefits of your mage not being slowed down by the Daedric gear and having greater sprinting distance before stamina runs out.

Tell Alduin I said "Yo" !:bluedragon:

I'll dip my cookies in your tears.
You can easily make you rmage wear armor duh

Be nice, he's simply saying that in order to keep with the whole "wizard" theme, he doesn't want his character running around in the same armor that your Orc soldiers wear. Besides, between spellcasting and enchanting your robes/rings/amulets/boots/hood/gloves, you can easily match daedric, if not more.

Yes. And my mages almost always wear armor (I even have tricked out dragonscale on hand) but I thought I'd give it a shot in robes for a bit since I almost never get hit anyhow and pride myself on never being seen.

Confession: I've never played an armor-wearing mage.
Really? I wish I had your skills. If I don't put armor on a mage, they die. Of course, everybody on the forums knows that it doesn't take much to kill my characters. They all have death wishes. :)

I'm figuring out I can't do that. I die from crabs (mudcrabs that is). Since I don't use followers, I'm just a squishy mage. Of course, there's always Alchemy... :)

In vanilla Skyrim, Dragonhide (from alteration) will essentially max out your armor (80%) reduction for 30 seconds. Who needs heavy, cumbersome armor?

Me. I don't have the patience to keep leveling Alteration. It takes FOREVER! There is only so much time I can waste transmutting, breathing water and casting mage armor spells before my head explodes. I barely have the patience to to do Alchemy (sorry Twiffle), Smithing or Enchanting. Grinding magic schools is a step too far for me.
