Has anyone found the Lighthouse? That is a really creepy scene. I won't spoil it but man.

I'm at an inn... Forget which one, then this lady comes up to me and asks if I want a drink or something. My housecleaners vaccum is on so I can't quite hear what she's saying. Okay... I guess that's not really creepy, nevermind. *sheepish grin*...

Ohh I've got one! The really big spider! I think it comes up early in the main quest. I mean, it just jumps on you! FReaKed me out dude!

I got 2 that stick out.

one is hearing a dragon in the distance. I did not see it so i moved along. All the sudden a massive jet of flame consumes my character, almost toasting me to death instantly. I turn around and look into the face of the dragon.

Second was after i cleared a fort the time had changed to night in the meanwhile. Lydia was with me and i was cruising the roads. All the sudden a ghostly horseman passes through me. It didnt attack and i couldnt attack it...its head was missing. I followed it and it took me to some sort of burial ground.

A couple of more for me

- Entering a possesed house in Markath I think
- Entering the houseo of a killer in Winterhold (I think, the Stormcloaks main base)
- Hiding in a coffin with the mumified remains of an ancient evil...that freaked me out have to admit

This one time... I was walking around in the woods looking for soom dear. And I saw this big ol' Giant and I was like scared. I wasnt to worried aboot it because I thought he didnt see me. But den dis big ol' Dragon he come flyin down to eat me. And I was like Oh no. So I shooted him with da bow and da arrows and there was like no way he was getting back up but den he got back up and da giant came over and he fighted da dragon and I ran like little girl and there was no way the Giant would win but den he won and I was happy and sad because the Giant killed the Dragon but the Giant was like 10x harder then a Dragon and thats kinda messed up it should be the other way around but i guess you have to live with what you get from Bethesda cuase sometimes they dont have the best ideas but i guess I will go on with the story and then this Giant was going to kill me but there was a hunter and he comed over to fight the giant and I run like little girl again and the giant he winned again and he comed after me and I was aboot to turn around and fight but then another dragon he comed to save the day and he made giant steak and i eated it and it was good and I am yet to find a Taco in Skyrim.

I'm sure I have many, but the one that I constantly think about is when I was traveling on the coast north of Winterhold. This was my first time on any coast and of course it was the middle of Frostfall, extreme blizzard occurring, and I'm exploring...probably not smart. Side note here, my wife is not a gamer, but she actually enjoys watching me play and she happened to be watching me play during this current travel. Anyways, I forget what I was looking for, maybe a shipwreck, but I'm just getting to the coast and BAM horker staring me in the face 2 feet away! You can't see the damn things in the middle of a blizzard until you are literally on top of them. I think by the time I finally arrived at my destination my wife and I had jumped 3 or 4 times (maybe screamed too) because those damn things were blended in so well with the extreme snow falling. This probably doesn't sound that bad, but man, we both about pl*** our pants every single time those dumb freakin things were in my face!

bah... nothing really scary so far... tough once i visited a dungeon with a lot of falmers and some chaurus... nasty little creatures... was a hard time ... since i died a lot

i have to say there were 2 of the "scary moments, first was in windhelm, when i was looking for clues for the butcher i come up to an abandoned house, after following the quest line i get the key to the house and theres blood all over the place with flyers warning people of the butcher all over, a creepy looking gem and a chest covered in blood with the journal of "the butcher", the second was in Markarth. theres also another abandoned house and your asked if you have seen any one go in or out of the house. he then asks you to acompany him into the house and all this polterguist ish starts happening things being flown off the wall and thrown at you, a disembodied voice tells you to kill the man who invited you into the house and the doors are locked, eventually you have to fight and kill the man to get the doors to unlock but your then led to the basment were your offered a prize for what you have done... check it out if your into the whole creepy ghost things, it actually kinda creeped me out

The Markarth house was the one I was thinking of too. I think this is what the other guy talking about an abandoned house was referring to.

The Bill Gates of Skyrim
I've jumped multiple times. Once I heard a growling and when I turned around a bear roared and jumped right in my screen, scaring the crap out of me :/

My scariest experience so far has been the area where you get your first voice upgrade (I think). The quest is something like "Discover the secret of..") It was scary because I was all alone using headphones and my first experience with the game's eerie atmosphere. I was constantly looking over my shoulder and saving everywhere.

My next one after that was a random encounter with a Troll at the base of a waterfall

Scariest thing for me was trying to kill a group of giants at level 3...... Second scariest was in the beginning of the game, with the scripted giant battle with the companions, I accidentally hit Farkas and was like OH SH#T!!! and ran for my life....

F.Y.I. Aela is accurate with her bow....
